  1. Awesome news! I guess a unit of Chaos Warriors or some other stuff might be a nice addition now. I hope the Gloomspite update will be as promising as this StD one seems to be, as my mate really needs one 👍
  2. if they add an X to it, Sony might've joined the party too....
  3. You've also taught me a new word - protean. It also exists in German and I know Proteus from whom it originates from but now I can sound really educated thanks to you as I've never seen it as an adjective before. 😁 So funny and informative, now all we need is chocolate!
  4. Playground Domynator-Brats... without a single misspelling GW couldn't trademark it. it fits the theme though as the majority of the army is illiterate.
  5. This board is getting funnier every day - thanks for all the laughs!
  6. Ok, you've asked for it! * Sorcerer-Warriors: a small unit of 5 in heavy armor and robes in a Curseling style (e.g. knightly look but with Tzeentch-typical design cues (like slightly avian forms or more curved trim), basically a Tzeentch Chosen unit type or similar to Exalted Sorcerers from 40k * Same kit or another one could be used to create Forsaken - I'd also make them elites in groups of 5 - same type of armor but mixed with the Thing. * Quadruple kit: Egrimm Van Horstmann on Baudros / Galrauch / common Chaos dragon ( Tzeentch Lord on common Chaos dragon * Aekold Helbrass: it would be so fitting for him to return due to his gift of Life. * Generic Sorcerer-Lord of Tzeentch - just cause I loved that Tzeentch lords were great in CC and amazing spellcasters back in the day when I started. Although this suggestion basically steps on already existing figures heroes we got in DoT, so it's quite senseless. * and obviously plastic updates for the last few figures. Fatemaster will look amazing I bet and thanks to the new rules, a cool Fluxmaster is desperately needed! As for the aesthetics: I'm very happy with where they're going, especially how careful they go full-circle (e.g. Gaunt Summoner having the shoulder armor like in the awesome Adrian Smith artwork) or the Curseling managing to bridge the gap between typical Chaos Lord but having the Tzeentch design cues in there. I'm not too big on them leaning too much into certain directions like Egypt due to me finding that more part of Prospero than Tzeentch and thus a TS thing or Persian as that is Slaanesh's thing in AoS now but I like the subtle nods to all those directions. Since I'm repeating myself anyways, I'll also say this again: they should look at dudes like Marvel's Mysterio for inspiration - who also got all those occult design cues but still fits into classical the overall super villain look. I'd like the Tzeentch stuff to also marry those two worlds - Mortal Chaos as we know it but with all the subtle nods you've mentioned (like the quite asian visor area of the Curseling as an example).
  7. In hindsight my post sounded much more aggressive than it should (I‘ve used the tool word, not the bad one though), sorry for that… actually NO, I’m not even sorry, beep everyone if it means more Tzeentch stuff*! 😎😎😎 I think it‘s time to repeat my ideas for Tzeentch releases, I‘m dead certain all of you wish to hear about them for the 150th time in this thread! 👍
  8. Sorry but ****** those Ogors if it means more cool stuff for Tzeentch!
  9. Might tread upon the whole carneval of Nurgle theme that‘s been established since forever. 🤔 It would fit well too, though and acrobats are certainly not part of the carneval.
  10. Thousand Sons is the best choice in 40k. A man of impeccable taste! 👌
  11. I would give him dyslexia, perhaps he could then cast 5, 8 or 9 spells! 😎👍
  12. Thanks for the more detailed explanation! 👍 still waiting on my copy, so I‘m prone to misjudging some units/heroes. It sounds very interesting, although I do like the time-slip pendant for some cheap hero killing too. 🤔 I will definitely try the magister on disc: bonus: he reminds me of cartoon movie cobra commander malus: he reminds me of cartoon movie cobra commander! 🙈 (what a tragedy that movie was…) 😂
  13. I‘ve got similar favorites, although the Gaunt Summoner (either variant but who really picks the one on foot now) is no auto-include for me any longer. Maybe I’m too bad to see to appreciate his new abilities but they sound much better to me in theory. I still find the Fatemaster appealing as I like Tzaangors on disc. The Fluxmaster and Curseling are two amazing picks now IMO. Thaumaturge still seems decent enough on paper but I‘ve had very mixed results with it in past games so I think that‘s just me enjoying a Tzeentch hero that reminds me of the good old times when Tzeentch heroes were not just great sorcerers but deadly combatants as well (I always liked that we had brains and brawn) … the Blue Scribes - after not adding fate points - aren‘t really that interesting either now, which is a big change for my lists and probably many others‘ lists as well. I never really been a huge fan of magisters before but the utility of summoning a spawn can‘t be argued with, so I‘ll use them more often. I hope my copy arrives this week… planning is much more fun when you don‘t have to stop youtube vids for the info. 😇 I might aim for Guild of Summoners now as that way I can use my chickens and fate point generation has become easier (as well as cheaper LoCs). Eternal conflag I need to think about and Kairics are too bad ob the whole so pyrofane is more fun than sound but I will definitely try it.
  14. Then why argue against my statement so fervently? 🙄🙄🙄 I’ve only added to your statement as you were the one to say his dice aren’t ideal… they obviously don‘t sport the vanilla/classic/typical color combo of today but the colors still work well enough for modern Tzeentch and Tzeentch used many colors before that are now seldom used (e.g. red and yellow) or added some subtle differences (like more greenish blues, when before it used to be more regal blues). Perhaps you should fully embrace Tzeentch in all his colors and take a look at the history of the single best thing aspect of Warhammer before you try to educate others and accept the info you are given (one could say you got owned there, you got your proof after all) - so get rid of that disgusting (and dumb!!!) Nurgling avatar that has absolutely no place in this thread and just enjoy this blast to the past instead of being so antagonistic. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  15. Why would I need to? I don‘t need to tell show you proof that water is wet either, it just is. You simply don’t know enough about our patron‘s first minis‘ paintjobs, your misguided Nurgle avatar is enough proof that you‘re not a true Champion of the one true Chaos God! Bit just to show you that I‘m right and you are not (and because I‘m petty as heck) - yellow and blue were the dominant colors at the start, there are plenty of other examples (first rubric marine paintjob was almost completely yellow, Egrimm van Horstmann‘s armor too and lots of others…. ). I hope you believe me now.
  16. Yeah, learning of their true name to kill them (as written in the Silver Tower game) definitely made them appear to be daemons. Also, the whole "honored guest of cults" shtick at first didn't really suggest that they are/were mortals but something else. Perhaps a form of mortal daemons. 😙
  17. Oh, I find you arguing against facts strange too but whatever. Look up the old publications if you don't wanna believe me. 🤷‍♂️
  18. Of course, no other Chaos God (or army) provides us with this much freedom in regards to the colors. I love seeing unusual color choices personally and I‘m using lots of shiny silver (with blue/teal shadows) for mine and use lots of cold colors as I enjoy an „evil“ look. I just wanted to add that yellow and blue are the „classics“ if one wishes to aim for the iconic colors for possible dice and that‘s the way it was. It changed and evolved over time, which fits T well but arguing against yellow/blue as the original colors is about as senseless as arguing that Nurgle is the better Chaos God. 😇
  19. Yellow and blue are the original AND classic T colors. Look at the first Tzeentch minis like the ancient Chaos Space Marines, they were mostly yellow with bits of blue but yellow actually was the dominant color at first. I guess it‘s fair to say that multi-colored dice are fitting now as Tzeentch went more and more in a kaleidoscopic color scheme. I‘d maybe use eyes instead of dots to sell the Tzeentch thing, if that is possible. The teal could also be more blue although I think they fit already pretty well. Without a Tzeentch symbol one can‘t do the optimum. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  20. To add to this: Yellow and Blue are the true „classic“ T colors. Gold came later, although he had lots of silver (first Aekold and Egrimm paintjobs as examples) at first too. In the end it‘s everything from teal (teal/green-blues are a very recent addition) to purple now as well as gold (which went from a desaturated one to rich gold) and slightly colored metallics (with a teal or purple hue in recent paintjobs), so to me they actually fit very well as Tzeentch is the God of many colors.
  21. Let‘s hope so, it‘s my biggest wish for AoS. But I fear it‘s unlikely as they would be too elite for Warcry 🤔
  22. Tzaangors are in theory easy to magnetize... not much fun to do, but it's absolutely possible to do so thanks to their arms and chest being one part.
  23. 3 more weeks and the battletome is outdated when the next Lumineth wave comes out. 😇
  24. I also really lament the GS becoming much worse in multiple ways. Such a cool design and it's much more difficult to justify taking him now.
  25. Damn, I got overexcited... anyways, it's surely fun to to make a kairic with -3 sorcerous bolts list once. 😇
