  1. I got second place in a local tournament, went 2-1 and I made a couple of stupid mistakes in the loss that I've been mentally berating myself about. Lost to Nurgle Won against DoK and Seraphon I've also beaten slaanesh and skaven in non tournaments. Maybe my opponents aren't good or I've just been getting lucky but I have been winning more often than not.
  2. I'd like Mighty Destroyers to do more for how lackluster it is and how rare it actually goes off
  3. Ohh yeah those are nice, similar to the ones I got. I might get some of those for my trolls just to have. Thse are where I got my 25mm ones: https://themagnetbaron.com/collections/trays-bases/products/2x-ferrous-movement-trays-offset-5x2
  4. I do. Mostly out of not making my friends wait while I move 120+ goblins. I use movement trays custom built for round, magnetized bases and it's not difficult removing them from the front ranks when piling in.
  5. Any chance you know what stream it was? Couple friends of mine would love to hear this but they're pretty damn skeptical so I wanna make sure I've heard it myself lol
  6. If Broadaxes were only 1" range I'd say Poles for sure with 20-30 man sized units but.. I dunno. I guess with 30 Poleaxes that's a lot more chances to roll 6's for the double MW's but broadaxes just seem so much more reliable especially with a -1 rend.
  7. Am I reading them wrong or are Fyreslayers gonna be able to put out 24 dice worth of MWs in each hero phase. Flame spewer AND the Inferno.
  8. I dont think he's that far over costed imo. His stats are pretty damn good with greater than average survivability for its damage output. And it can get look out sir and doesn't degrade. A 440 maw krusha wishes it could do half as much as this guy does
  9. Thinking of trying this list. Allegiance: Gloomspite GitzMortal Realm: GhyranLeadersDankhold Troggboss (300)- General- Trait: Mighty Blow - Artefact: Ghyrstrike Skragrott, The Loonking (220)- Lore of the Moonclans: The Hand of GorkGitmob Grot Shaman (80)- AlliesBattleline3 x Fellwater Troggoths (160)3 x Fellwater Troggoths (160)3 x Fellwater Troggoths (160)3 x Fellwater Troggoths (160)60 x Stabbas (360)- Pokin Spears & Moon Shields- 9x Barbed Nets- 1x Moonclan Flag Bearers- 1x Badmoon Icon Bearers20 x Stabbas (130)- Stabbas & Moon Shields- 3x Barbed Nets- 1x Moonclan Flag Bearers- 1x Badmoon Icon BearersUnits60 x Gitmob Grots (270)- Bows & Slashas- AlliesTotal: 2000 / 2000Extra Command Points: 0Allies: 350 / 400Wounds: 210 So has anyone tried using the Gitmob with bows with the Gitmob shaman spell? It looks like it could be devastating and I kind'a wanna give it a shot. Unfortunately the only shaman I have (besides Skragrott) is one Fungoid Cave-Shaman who I'm gonna substitute as a Gitmob. Just a casual game, our place is good about letting us do stuff like that. But I did order another Fungoid and a regular shaman anyway. I def need to try 2-3 fungoids. I also have 9 rockguts coming in and I eventually wanna do about 15 of them. I did a tournament with the 12 Fellwaters and the Trogboss along with some stabbas and the Trogboss was constantly my MVP. Anytime he attacked he did about 15-18 wounds. I brought the troggoth hag as well and she wasn't horrible but unfortunately between my bad rolling for spell casts and my opponents red hot unbind rolls, she really didn't pull her 380 pt worth. The fellwaters are just a great workhorse unit. I love them. I haven't tried giving the Trogboss Ghyrstrike though. Seems like it would be insane but even without it he seems to wipe anything he looks at anyway. I almost wanna give him the Gryph-Feather Charm for the -1 to hit and the extra 2" of movement for the extra survivability instead. Between all my Netters and Fellwaters in the tournament, it was driving some of the Khorne and Daughters players crazy. I might drop the 20 stabbas for some endless spells. Emerald Lifestream to make sure my Trogboss is topped off or whatever.
  10. Can you use battalion's from Gloomspite or any other faction for generic Alliegances like Destruction?
  11. I'd like hackas to cause mortal wounds on a charge myself. The army lacks MW output severely compared to most armies. Only way is through spells or maw krusha charge. Or a battalion that is complete garbage. I wouldn't mind also seeing a maw krusha without warboss warscroll. I could see it being vastly cheaper, probably like 240 pts or roughly around there. It would be cool if they could introduce a whole new monster unit for the ironjawz. The realms, especially Ghur, have a whole wealth of nasty beasties and if they can "tame" a maw krusha why not something else, maybe something that can run in a pack or whatever
  12. So I keep hearing Moonclan get a battletome in the spring and Ironjawz will in the summer. Am I the only one who wanted an orcs and goblin (orruks and grot) consolidated into one battletome like Beasts and Nagash? Theres a lot of synergy with the greenskin races. Also theres the lack of different Ironjawz units. I think only Beastclaw have less. I just dont see GW putting out more than one new model for us anytime soon, even with an updated battletome. Also I saw something that made me start thinking for a change for IJ. It was a mistake but still. Someone thought you could also attack with the free pile in from Mighty Destroyers and that seemed like it would be pretty cool. Not like other armies dont have free attack mechanics. Obviously it could be adjusted if it feels like it would be too OP like only activates on a 6+ even if it's from a megaboss roll or something. But it fits the army and the name. If anyone watches Rerolling Ones on YouTube you probably know what I'm talking about from their Ironjawz vs ironjawz match.
  13. Ugh forum didnt update and didnt see someone mentioned war boss with banner already.
  14. Well ******, you're right. I've been handicapping myself. Ugh.
  15. @Malakree Oh man I forgot all about doom divers. I've been using spear chukas a lot, I love those things, but I forgot about the unmodified 4+ rule for doom divers. What do you think of this: Allegiance: IronjawzMortal Realm: AqshyLeadersMegaboss on Maw-Krusha (440)- General- Boss Gore-hacka and Scrap-toothOrruk Weirdnob Shaman (120)Orruk Warchanter (80)Orruk Warchanter (80)Orruk Warchanter (80)Battleline10 x Orruk Ardboys (160)10 x Orruk Ardboys (160)10 x Orruk Ardboys (160)5 x Orruk Brutes (180)- Pair of Brute Choppas5 x Orruk Brutes (180)- Pair of Brute Choppas3 x Orruk Gore Gruntas (140)- Pig-iron Choppas3 x Orruk Gore Gruntas (140)- Pig-iron ChoppasWar MachinesDoom Diver Catapult (120)- AlliesDoom Diver Catapult (120)- AlliesDoom Diver Catapult (120)- AlliesBattalionsWeirdfist (180)Endless SpellsBalewind Vortex (40)Total: 2500 / 2500Extra Command Points: 1Allies: 360 / 500Wounds: 185 It's a lot of warchanters but again, Nurgle, plus I need 12 Ironjaw units to get 3 Allies and warchanters are cheap. Sidenote: I think the one thing I want more than anything for IJ is our buffs to last till next hero phase, ugh. Question(s) is: Should I go with 2 Doom Divers instead? I could fit more into the battalion that way, less drops. Or even use a fungoid for my 3rd allie. I also could have gone 3 Brutes and 1 Grunta but I like the idea of Gruntas supporting the maw krusha. I liked the idea of a weirdknob weirdfist with balewind with 3 doomdivers wrecking back lines. Protecting the doomdivers against my eventual game against stormcast and every other army that can summon will be a pain though. Always appreciate the advice you veterans of the Waaagh give, thank you.
  16. @Malakree I've been wanting to try something like Weirdfist/Rogue Idol mostly because one particular opponent I face in tournaments is a Nurgle player and he's the only one I'm winless against. I feel like if I beat him then I couldn't care how I do against everyone else He has so many -1 to hit shennangins with 60+ plaguebearers I wanted to try crushing his backline heroes with MWs. What I'd give to have a Beastmen Chimera... Unfortunately I only have 30 Ardboys atm. I do have 30 Brutes though. I know most feel ardboyz are better but Brutes for me are just so fun. That and i have a lot more fun painting them then another 20-30 Boyz.
  17. I'll give the rogue idol a go over the hag. I guess my thinking with a big block of GGs was to sit on points but yeah having them in the weird fist is counterproductive. I'll try swapping in brutes unfortunately I don't have any equipped with the gorehackas. I wouldn't be able to give the Hag the cloak if I did use her though, right? Allies cant take artifacts I thought.
  18. I have a 2500 pt tournament this weekend and thought I'd try using some of what I've read here, namely Malakree and using the Weirdfist to snipe with spells. Allegiance: IronjawzMortal Realm: UlguLeadersMegaboss on Maw-Krusha (440)- General- Choppa and Rip-tooth fist- Trait: Ironclad - Artefact: Doppelganger Cloak Orruk Weirdnob Shaman (120)- Artefact: Miasmatic Blade Fungoid Cave-Shaman (80)- AlliesTroggoth Hag (380)- AlliesBattleline10 x Orruk Ardboys (160)10 x Orruk Ardboys (160)10 x Orruk Ardboys (160)6 x Orruk Gore Gruntas (280)- Pig-iron Choppas6 x Orruk Gore Gruntas (280)- Pig-iron Choppas3 x Orruk Gore Gruntas (140)- Pig-iron ChoppasBattalionsWeirdfist (180)Endless SpellsBalewind Vortex (40)Quicksilver Swords (20)Total: 2440 / 2500Extra Command Points: 2Allies: 460 / 500Wounds: 175 I can't decide if I wanna use the Rogue Idol over the Troggoth Hag for the extra +1 to cast. Hag has a really fun spell and super durable with some fun stuff though. Also torn on artifacts: Dopple/Miasma, Gildenbane/Alchemical Chain, Ignax's Scales/Cleansing Brooch I really need to pick up a second maw krusha.
  19. Anyone been leaving feedback on GW AoS page for GH2019? Seems the time to do now that they're actively asking for suggestions on balancing. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/11/14/14th-nov-the-generals-handbook-2019-we-need-yougw-homepage-post-3/
  20. I've been debating trying out a Rogue Idol+Moonclan+Weirdknob for fun. Moonclan and Weirdknob with +3 to cast optimally. Also I just picked up a Troggoth Hag and look forward to trying her out. Not sure what the general consensus is on her in an IJ army but I like the model. Maybe it's just a matter of experience but I've always had better games with a moonclan/fungoid than a weirdknob. I won't deny the + unbinding is always great but the extra 40 pts I save usually let's me squeeze in another unit of da boyz. And good God I'd never give up my warchanters. I play against a Nurgle army too much who seems to have minus to hit across the board. This will (hopefully) change when we get our own spell lores someday in the next ten years.
  21. I feel the exact same way, especially about the moonclan shaman. 80pts with a reliable +2 casting is great and a pretty decent spell. I'm thinking of fielding 2, maybe 3, of them. Just really sucks when he gets high off those shrooms. Not sure how i feel about the fungoid in comparison. He has much better survivability but his unique spell im not too impressed with and his special ability, while great, is once per game.
  22. Being a fan of Tzeetch I wish Ogroid Thaumaturges carried over to BoC.
  23. Is there anything that grants extra primordial call points besides Allherd command ability? And besides obviously sacrificing near the headstone. I thought I skimmed across something when I first got the book a couple weeks ago but cant find anything but Booming Roar.
  24. You can throw in how old armies have bonuses on 6's that can be modified but every new battletome/warscroll say 'unmodified'. Dunno why they don't errata that since that's the way their going now.
  25. Oooh forgot about that lol So could have 3 'mystic shields' on at a time. 4 with the combat only Talisman of the Watcher artifact from Ulgu though just for lols there. I might have to invest in 60 tzaangors at some point. 30 for sure. Run them with a great shaman, tzaangor shaman, chaos lord and maybe a shaggoth
