  1. 3 Attacks on his lance are just too few. In my experience it happens too often that none of those attacks even wound. The sword seems like a better option imo esp. since all sources of +1 attack for non-summonable units have been scratched. 🤷🏼‍♂️ The 4+ to hit make no sense to me. It’s like they were afraid those unit could actually deal significant damage. (For the same reason the Mortarch mounts won’t do a lot) I feel like the Terrorgheist isn‘t great either
  2. All Wight kings are summonable! That makes them the biggest winners of the book ❤️ Cado Ezechiar can become a Vampire of any Bloodline (he simply gets the keyword, since he has no bloodline keyword himself) right? Would be pretty cool imo. An actual useful Vampire merc. Pretty sure it will be FaQed because all of a sudden the lore has to be respected again XD
  3. Edit: With the wight king those BK are solid.
  4. Overall I feel like some Warscrolls are way too overpriced. apart from that I am simply sad about some changes that would’ve been a cheap home run. The only really bad unit is Nagash and the Corpse Cart. with which update did they remove the 5-point increments? OBR & SBGL were clearly written before that
  5. I sadly have to agree. I‘d like to know the stats of Korsagi Nightguards, the Vargskyr and the Vyrkos Bloodborn though.
  6. Wether a book performs well is heavily influenced by how easily scored their faction battle tactics are. where did you see all the warscrolls?
  7. Well with all the new information I wonder why Nagash costs more than 450 points to be honest. He adds nothing special. Vampires: Still weak - I don't get it. The only thing they'll blend is their dreams. Black Knights: Third time in a row they've been made plainly bad. Dire Wolves: good Radukar: Okayish? Lilly Volga: Fine, yet she won't kill anything with those flimsy weak attacks Zombies: Weird? You need to get a Corpse cart to trigger their mortal wounds. Corpse Cart: ???. He has zero defense and everyone will commit a few shots to take him out. Skeletons: Better than before unless I am missing something Grave Guard: Look there, still the best blender unit we have... Blood Knights: Unwarrented Points increase Mannfred: What exactly are you even supposed to be anymore? Better damage? Still too squishy. Feels like a 250 pts unit Neferata: Wow, not special at all somehow. Better damage? Still too squishy. Feels like a 260 pts unit Both Mortarchs do a lot of nothing and cost 390 points each. At that points range they enter Katakros territory and that guy is bonkers. Legions: LoB is good LoN is bad (at first glance) Kastelei is equal? - a little uninspired Avengorii - I just don't care, we have FeC for that kind of army Vyrkos - I like them. The +1 to cast never made sense anyways Overall too many "once per game on a 3+" - just STOP IT I don't know guys. I was excited about some changes but they've really beaten the book to the dust (not talking about power). So many missed opportunities. But hey, we will certainly get some bonkers battle tactics so we can play the game within the game that shouldn't be all the game is about. *add ugly smily here* let’s play Age of Battle Tactics. Vamps being worse than a humans again is ignorant considering the community (not only this forum) is unanimously pro better Vampires. They've even reworked the WD update to LoB to be worse. No one says every Vamp needs to blend, just open up the option.
  8. He's been a mage for tens of thousands of years, yet he may fail his first cast which stops him from doing anything he's supposed to be good at. He's a god that relies primarily on magic, yet he's too unexperienced to cast simple spells, really?
  9. He still lacks the immunity to miscasts for unknown reasons?
  10. Katakros was arguable better than Nagash before and he will be now, for about half the point costs. It's a weird one with Nagash, I actually want him to be raw death power, yet somehow he turns out to be a support hero. However we'll see if he can be used to win (which is certainly the case), does he feel like the god of death though? Well at least for me that's not the case.
  11. Nit without reason he carries the Name „Nagash Grand Lord of the Display Cabinet“
  12. Looks okay, though by far not 975 points okay. To me he feels like 700-800-ish points. Imagine the Vampire Lore is bad snd there‘d be nothing good for him to use his 8 spells on 🤣 I am a little sad the deflect MWs rule is gone.
  13. Waaiiiiiit a second "King Louen Leoncoeur fell to his own son" Louen died by the hands of Festus, did he not? Or was that already the returned Gile? Just double-checked it: Yep, he was killed by Festus. The Community Article is wrong XD
  14. Just a candle lit image I took, I wanted to share
  15. That’s what I liked about WHF: The core rulebook had a lot of those Stories written from the perspective of Adventurers. It was awesome.
  16. That’s what I liked about WHF: The core rulebook had a lot of those Stories written from the perspective of Adventurers. It was awesome.
  17. Since the new SBGL Tome is coming out soon and no new unit apart from lilly vyrkos has been shown. I'd expect this to be neither Nurgle nor Death but Skaven. If it is Nurgle I'd expect a new one of these:
  18. I could imagine that our healing will be something like "Rally can be used even if the unit is in combat" and "rally can be issued up to two times per Character with Keyword X in the army" Apart from that likely changes: A fix for Black Knighs -> Grave Guard on Horses A fix for Blood Knights -> Range 2 +1 rend A fix for Zombie Dragons -> ramping up the damage is needed. A fix for Terrorgheists -> Damage ramp-up! An actual role for Giant Bats Increasing the usability of Neferata Wished Changes: Generalisation of Vyrkos units - Most named Characters become generic characters. Undead Ogors bodyguards become generic. Vargskyr becoming a real threat and generic. (it'd be such an easy home-run) WAY punchier Vampier Lords More Powerful Necromancers (let them ride a corpse cart again) Heavily ramped up Damage and usability of each Coven Throne, Palaquin and Mortis Engine unit (these guys have been banned to the cabinet for 2 Tomes in a row) Making Nagash scary again, please? Just to name a few ideas (SBGL are my favourite (for 16 years) and oldest faction, I have an endless reperoire of ideas concernign them)
  19. „Battletome: Soulblight Gravelords is dedicated to these thirsting horrors, featuring new warscrolls and pitched battle profiles for the heroes and shambling fodder of five full undead dynasties“ this creates some hope for powerful combat vampires! (can‘t change the text Color on mobile gor some reason)
  20. Maybe the price was a little absurd *cough* I liked the upgrade sets but they‘d have had to tripple the contents in order for me to spend that amount of money.
  21. Imo there’s nothing to add to the responses up to this point except for a summary tldr: - Grand Hammers have a clear role -> jump in and smash - Shield Annihalators suffer from a lack of rend and they die to even a few mortal wounds. Their role as tank is too easily compromised. - They’re too few to contest objectives (so they have to kill anything that contests, which Grand Hammers are better suited for) ——— Overall the discussion is interesting since I still have an unbuilt box of Annihalators and I tried to reason with myself if it males sense to build the shield version (I like the style)
  22. That‘s true. However the Cities of Sigmar (Excelsis) and many others also have a big presence in Ghur. Cities for example has access to an equal (or even more) monsters (not talking about the keyword) than Destruction has. Imo Destruction might not get anything out if the era of the Beast, and the interpretation that they would was probably wrong from the start.
