Today is a good day. SGL not even previewed; how much hype still! The warhammer quest model isn't my bag but damn the Crimson Court is so good.

Have Abhorash sat on top of a bloodthirster with weapon firmly lodged in its head, like the LOTR model of Gimli with his axe in the Uruk Hai's head. Job done.

If that's all we're getting we best march on Warhammer world lolz. Although that would be massively disappointing. This is not my remit but there was always unsubstantiated talk back in Oldhammer that VC were one of the better selling armies, maybe this still holds true and GW reckon they'll sell a boatload of new Vampire models? We can but hope.

The trouble is we still have that Pretentious Tyrion and his lot and the rightful ruler of Aelf kind Malerion to come.

I'd guess almost all of the units other than ones that have found new homes in other battle tomes, heroes i think only Neferata/Manfred, VLoZD/Vhodrai, Weight Kings and the plastic Necromancer. Blood Knights as said previously surely have to be getting an update into plastic, I'm also somewhat unsure about Varghiests. Zombies could do with a new sculpt or just binning off if not.

I'm so happy with this announcement and the two Vampires they've shown so far. Hopefully the warscrolls will be made better as well. I think I've bored everyone to death but for the first time in 20+ years in the hobby I can almost see it making sense for Abhorash to get a model Have him lead anti Nagash vamps or something and B-I-N-G-O.

These new Vampires are perfect. Is it too much to believe Abhorash will be making his tabletop debut?!?

If Abhorash could make Blood Knights battleline even better! Although somewhat getting ahead of myself (highly doubt he is coming :()

Vampire Lords need a new warscroll, make them back to what they used to be; absoloutley terrifying. As opposed to the oh is that a vampire? SPLAT vampire lords we have now.

Seriously can we not have another war of vengeance? Aelf population numbers seem to be at an all time high and Slanesh was meant to have eaten them all!

Break out the blood it’s time to party! Also, I know this will annoy a lot of people if it doesn’t feature, but I’m rather glad it’s not Vampirates. I feel that there was never really anything to back that up and people just lost their minds with the total war vampire coast release. Anyway for me this is how I want my vampires, give me Abhorash and doped up Blood knights and all is good.

Lets not forget the most important thing about the new vampire; they have hair and full armour! Hoping skegs are a part of this army as I have hundreds of the bloody things. Thank Nagash that Manfreds chrome dome muscle shirt men haven’t arrived, so happy with this. Abhorash and plastic blood knights and take my money now!

Return of Warmaster or Battlefleet Gothic?! never got into either of them at the time and in hindsight think BFG could have been worth it.

As others have said those of us that remember oldhammer won't moan about AoS releases. Yes i played vampire counts and we did have to wait quite a while between our 6th and 7th ed army books and the 8th ed one came out pretty early in the edition iirc. The speed at which GW are releasing armies at at the moment is astounding and the thought of having points updates every year would have been anathema back then. AoS is far from neglected I would say, yes I am once again clamoring for a Vampire release like the good old days but I just like vampires!

I pray to Nagash they have hair! Manfred even had hair once upon a time. Although I think they actually did explain that in lore as a by product of his resurrection after the battle of Hel Fenn.

Cue disappointment that it is only a warband and not a full vamp release we are getting.

Talk about throwing a curve ball at us; expecting full reveal of vampires and now it looks like death rattle and dead walkers will be getting something too! I kind of wish they’d shown full models though.
