    Solar Auxilia?

They were confirmed to be coming to plastic some time ago, looks like tonight’s the night we get the full preview. Though for all our sakes I hope to god they’re not backported into 40K.

My wishlist, Jiangshi in Soulblight, any chance to have it? ^^

As @Vaellas as stated, with the inclusion of the vaguely far eastern-warrior monks askurgan and blades and the confirmation of the Jade-Blooded existing Cathay in TOW, I’d say the odds are pretty high.

Old World Almanack – The Art of Remastering Classic Miniatures - Warhammer Community (warhammer-community.com)

It is interesting how the casted metal minis into resin.

BY LONG LOST NEHEKHARA THIS IS WONDERFUL!!! I'm glad that not only is GW taking the time to restore their old kits, but they're even improving them in some cases (Bone Giant, Casket, Scorpion) and I cannot wait to paint them.

    Fyreslayers Wave 2.

    Chaos Duardin.

    Ogor Refresh.

    Skaven Refresh.

4.0 will be the best Edition yet EASILY!!

As much as I hate to say it, we might also need to add a potential Lumineth wave 3. We’ve heard of the pachyderm spirits and I want to corrupt them to Slaanesh war-engines (Tzeentch gets the foxes). We also might get Idoneth Wave 2, so here’s hoping 4th comes sooner rather then later!!!!

  6. Hey everyone! Figured I'd add my own two bits to the thread.

If we are truly on the verge of a Legion of Azgorh/Followers of Hashut/Chaos Dwarf faction this coming edition, I suspect it'll be a 9-10 kit release, with the two kits that have already been released being included (Horns of Hashut and Hobgrotz) to bring the faction up to 11 kits before their second wave.

Now then, here's what I think is a possible release format:

    • Named Character/Showpiece kit, perhaps a sorcerer on Bale-Taurus or a unique "Daemon" of Hashut. Though this role could also be filled by the old Shartor kit being released once more.
    • Sorcerer-Prophet/Daemonsmith hero
    • Castellan Melee Hero
    • Chorf Melee Infantry (shield and Dual wielding options)
    • Gunners
    • Bull Centaurs
    • Iron Daemon with multi-build options
    • Infernal Guard multi-build elite (guns + melee options).
    • K'daai Fireborn
    • K'daai Destroyer centerpiece

If  we're talking about their aesthetic, I think a mixture of the old-school Middle-Eastern+Indian feel mixed with their more "modern" industrial armor seems like a good starting point, but as always, this is just speculation.

So what‘s the plan, fellow peasants? Torment Whitefang until he confirms it again? 👌🏻

    Y‘know, I‘m something of a nuisance myself. 😎

I’m down for this or spamming “x days until chorfs reveal” in the rumor thread.

Dragging myself out of lurking to pop in and say how hyped I am that Chaos Dwarfs are even in the discussion at all! They've been my favorite army since I discovered them! I still have fond memories of mutilating the entire Battle for Skull Pass box as a teen in an attempt to ape some of the conversions I saw on the Chaos Dwarfs Online forum

Got some Azgorh infantry, Hobgrots, and Horns of Hashut lined up in anticipation: I've been holding off on tracking down any warmachines in hopes that the CD's full blown AoS army (the first full plastic army the faction has ever had btw) has some real cool new stuff.

The Horns sort of ballooned into a whole themed S2D army in the meantime, lol

Really hoping its true that they're going to appear in AoS: I'd much rather see them causing problems across multiple realms instead of living in the margins of the Old World

My Horns of Hashut make up half of my cults/marauders for my Slaanesh STD army….. the chorfs need a release ASAP!!!

    Please be true.

It wiuld make senses as they had an outpost in Ulgu and probably 4th edition will see that realm in focus imho.

Don’t forget their magical soul-oil rig in Shyish guarded by chaos-megagargants! This is probably gonna be one of the best releases of 2024 if GW does this army right.

Quick answer before i break down "defensive" but the good v evil stupidity is a key symptom of it, i had written it off as yet another weird need to justify why they grouped forces like they did, becuase they could have just called them "Defenders and Invaders" and it wouldnt have gotten peoples backs up, but now theyve doubled down on their ****** weak reasoning for some reason in this article rather than moving on.

Like, the Bretonnians are vastly more evil than the tomb kings (who are lets remember all victims of Nagash, not skeletons by choice) in how they treat their people and the Wood elves slaughter almost anyone foolish enough to come near them, mess with the Bretonnians religion and sometimes just ride out to do a bunch of murders for lols.

And thats just the low hanging fruit! The Border Princes all build their castles on generations of corpses :P

Historically throughout all of the lore I can find on The Tomb Kings, since Nagash doomed them to their half life they’ve largely kept to themselves….. until some idiot not-European comes traipsing into their tombs looking for something shiny. Did they keep slaves in life? Yeah, but so did half the of the humans factions in game (they just called them something else).
the only legitimately evil Tomb Kings characters are Nagash (supreme lord of **** moves), Arkhan (a decent guy but loyal to his boss), Apophas the Scarab Prince (murdered his entire family for no reason), and Neferata and her court (created vampirism). I suppose we could count Settra as evil for invading the border princes…. If they didn’t include the fact that someone stole from him first!!!!
Meanwhile, the Bretonnians are a mix of every medieval French stereotype, Arthurian Legend, and generic fairy tale myths combined. I’d call them a potshot at Medieval England as well, but since Albion exists as a rain drenched land of Celts and giants that’s just not the case. Plus, they worship a poorly disguised elf goddess, so that’s a big “L” in this dwarf adjacent man’s book.

    This is a lie.

Do they want to give people the impression that the victory of Chaos is inevitable?

    Yes

Do they want Chaos to actually win from the very start?

That's an absolute no, otherwise, the Strom of Chaos arc would not have happened before the retcon. The story of AOS will also become meaningless.

The victory of Chaos, aka End Times, happened purely because of corporate reasons.

From the mouth of @Whitefang to our eyes and ears everyone.

BY SETTRA’S GLORIOUS PYRAMID THATS WONDERFUL!!! Easily worth the price imo, since some of these kits have been gouged to near 100 dollars.

It was £32.50 RRP, which is around $65 in current GW pricing (accounting for the arbitrary GW Foreigner Tax)

That being said, it's a box of 20 rather than the 10 they were originally sold at.

$65?!?!?! Good God, I got into this hobby too late…… thanks @Clan's Cynic.

This is moving around WhatsApp groups. I have no clue if it is fake or what the currency is:

    image.png.3ee5a2abaa15c8472baf7a10f3930e33.png

If it is USD it is quite a decent price 255$ for the Bret box. 290$ for the Khemri one is quite a noticeable increase.

Unless the Tomb Guard comes in a box of 20 then there is no way this is an accurate listing. They have the GLORIOUS necrosphinx kit at 75 dollars…… can someone please tell me what the old/original price of that magnificent kit was? Cause if it was the same price back before the end times then I need to go hunt down some scalpers on eBay.

  13. My plans this/last/2023 collapsed due to a variety of issues, so my plan looks like this:

    aos:

complete my combination of Slaanesh and Tzeentch chaos horde.
finish my Tomb Kings/Soulblight Gravelords army with accompanying Flesh Eater Court allies.

kitbash a Daemon Prince for Armies on Parade.

I also plan to craft a decent narrative for the chaos and death armies facing off a Dawnbringer Crusade, but that is a tale for another day…..

    Horus Heresy:

Pick up a Knight Lancer and paint it in my home brew Knight House/Forgeworld

    40k:

finish my Night Lord CSM squads and raptors/warp talons.

    general/misc:

    finally make a Forgeworld purchase.

I saw a discussion about whether they are more AoS-like in terms of sculpt than WHFB-like. What do we think? IMO there's a clear difference in terms of the sculpt of this minis with something from AoS, but some users think the other way around.

I think we'd get a mature of Forgeworld, WHFB, the new Hobgrotz and The Horns of Hashut Warcry band: a mix of industrial mid-far eastern armor of varying quality mixed with daemon engines of all stripes.

They don't look like AoS sculpts to me.I think the bright paint jobs are confusing people.

@Neil Arthur Hotep, I went over each of the previewed models and came to the following equation: somebody at GW saw an old poster for Boris Karloff's The Mummy and ran with the color scheme for the Tomb Kings skin tone:1200_Future-Is-Retro_The_Mummy_-1932_poster_-_three-sheet--8x_1200x.jpg.webp.e70f62d2ccdbb7d5b4cb4c6314a354c3.webpgDi06nLfqrAPpgfx.jpg.797f9c091958ba1557539194a4579ed8.jpgEgJM5eOHXFdfanqd.jpg.2632524171a7e668906c59627a34f5ee.jpgm1TWXnN6GI0vMn1Y.jpg.2a56380df04cc139c2fe4d21c4c6b391.jpgvowZeVGniMkPnxSv.jpg.bae148b79e1571f8cf27340a6de7f6cb.jpgCOzFKeszgIBAFiBJ.jpg.4c9a68ad862635431436ae0e3ca86241.jpg

    So happy for you mate!!

With Ogors, Beasts and Skaven being the last major holdovers from WHFB Im fairly certain that this Edition Ogors will be updated.

Chameleon Skins were updated in Warcry then we got Seraphon. What did we just get in Warcry? Gorgers.

Gitz, Sons and Orruk Warclans all recently were updated in one form or another in this Edition or the last.

Destructions next big update HAS to be Ogors as the others are all updated unless they begin their second waves.

Ogors have had 2 miniatures in the entirety of AOS until the Gorgers.

4.0 will be the time of the update for Ogors I can feel it!!

Thank you once again @KingBrodd! Here's hoping Your Royal Swoleness' ravening hordes finally get an update in the near future, especially since you've not only gotten a Warcry band (Gorgers), but a new hero (The IceBrow Hunter), an Underworlds band (pirate), three models in Warhammer Quest, and a hero unit in Cities(!) so we know GW can cook you lads a fine meal.
