  1. " Later today, we’ll also be previewing rules from the first General’s Handbook, and we’ve got a wealth of Spearhead coverage to come."
  2. Honestly would love this. I am really eager at the prospect of a new Azyros/ Zephyros model to go alongside Prosecutors.
  3. Indeed, Warcry is such a great game that is being more loved over time. Losing it would be a crime.
  4. Speaking in what is going to pop up here and there in 4th and the future I was thinking more on Spearhead boxes. In the preview on different game modules they mentioned that there is no magic phase. Now no magic/ prayers is going to feel a little odd for some boxes that already have Wizards and Priests as the general. Sure they can edit them to make them fit in to Spearhead but it won't feel very true to the models so curious which boxes will be updated first. For example they mentioned Vanari as a Regiment maybe we will see the Cathallar replaced. Maybe it will even point to speculation on model updates. Soulblight have a Vampire lord for example but maybe we would have a thematic box of Wight Knight, Graveguard and Black Knights to remove the wizard and also have updated sculpts.
  5. I definitely prefer the Hallowed Knights. I've always painted mine in silver just because I like it more.
  6. I know that feeling I bought Fangs of the Blood Queen then when the Darkoath were announced I returned the box right away to start towards Darkoath funds.
  7. I would love to but they decided to come out before payday. Hopefully get my fix with Gunnar's Oathbound Edit:Part of why I hope some go in to a spearhead eventually
  8. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2024/04/16/kit-focus-these-versatile-darkoath-miniatures-have-sworn-an-oath-to-customisation/ They keep making me want them. I need to resist because I know they are going to be solo releases later but urgh... this box calls to me. My wallet holds me back.
  9. At first I was thinking Slaaneshi but that GSC model has me thinking otherwise.
  10. I am really hoping it is hinting to something especially since, like you said, it is a lot of work for just an April Fools. It would be very interesting to see that Chaos forces were also tied up by Skaven. Sure they are both Chaos but it isn't exactly the first time different factions have come to blows, it could be seen as an insult to have the Skaven pop up parking their city in the front lawn of your fortress and be seen as a challenge. Also while people are waiting for Darkoath and Abraxia I recommend reading/ listening to Scourge of Fate. Half way through it at the moment but it does have Chaos warriors and Darkoath with the story being about one Chaos Warrior in particular on the path to becoming a Varanguard so a decent story to tie in with upcoming releases.
  11. Looking at these models again I am wondering if you choose between axe and shield or the double axe (though there is a shield on his back) but keep the same statline, like dual wield or shield with liberators, or if the double axe is the champion of the pack or if they are like the single non champion that can replace their weapon similar to the Liberator warscroll. Although the trailer focused on a different character the double axe model is the only one with a different helmet by having the comet of Sigmar on the forehead and now rewatching the trailer realise you can see it on the double axe unit there too. Edit: Just noticed they are also the only one with the raven knee pad.
  12. I always see it as the other way around. These are common sights in different fantasy settings and in some cases from our own history. Fantasy also came before 40k and these styles then went in to 40k as well. We see it a lot more in 40k nowadays because one of the main factors in 40k is how overly religious the Imperium is to the point of detriment that has encompassed their entire society, but that does not mean it is not something that can't be in fantasy/ AoS as a result just because we see it a lot in the space version. AoS has a lot more variation when it comes to religious design becuase of the larger pantheon that is allowed to be worshipped by the different peoples and at the end of the day when Sigmar is a God King then we are going to have fhis ollowers that we want to be able to be instantly recognised as priests.
