Incineroar87
Is there a better choice or is it preference on which Vamp mount is better for cheese lists with 1-2 Mournguls at 2000 pts ?
patsfan32
Vamp lord can't be on a terrorgheist so your choice is easySent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
Incineroar87
Whoops I meant Vamp Lord on Zombie Dragon Or Vamp Lord on Abyssal Terror. Is there a preferred one ? I cannot decide.
Rahr
If you want him to Lead your army go for the vlozd also for combat if you want support and save points go for the vloat he is great with his spell but the vlozd is Way stronger as a leader and in combat
ChippyRick
Yes, i think the Vampire Lord on Abyssal Terror is a support piece in most armies. I have updated my list recently that only had a Vampire on foot and Isabella plus Wraiths with the Abyssal Terror as General purely to gain a hero with more wounds/better save and i get the cool spell
Bradifer
VLOAT allows your army to just play completely different. Adding another 12" of movement to a Mourngul or 10" to blood knights/dire wolves essentially speeds up your game on plan by 1 turn every turn. VLOZD has a different role. He is a very fast combat monster that carries ruler of the night on a decently tanky body. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ChippyRick
I am yet to use the VLOZD but i do want to. having the speed plus the damage output is brilliant. having another unit that can also do this using the VLOAT fly spell could be horrible for sure. Oppenheimer
They're also nerfing Abyssal by increasing the points dramatically.
Incineroar87
I believe the abyssal is 300 points now. Is cheaper than than the Vamp on Zombie Dragon for 440 points.
ChippyRick
I dont think it nerfs the VLOAT at all. its a solid hero and has a great spell as well and 300 isnt unreasonable.
Oppenheimer
That's true, it is still very punchy. It's not that it's not good, I'm just saying it's less good than it was prior to the point increase.
ChippyRick
Yes that is the case for sure. I havnt used him yet but will be soon, just nice having all the VLord bonuses plus the wounds and save bonuses. Prob is he becomes more of a target and is harder to hide when you need to so could be an issue.
TerrorPenguin
As @ChippyRick says, VLOZD to do damage, VLOAT as a support piece. VLOAT might be a late game melee unit, but early game her place is buffing other units.
