Celestant651
So I was playing a quick game of AoS with my brothers and one of them questioned that his runelord could block one of my abilities because he thought it was a spell. Is this true? I THINK ITS TRUE, but he does not I need someone to tell me so we can get on with our game.
buffalozap
it probably wasn't true. If you're not casting a spell then that runelord isn't getting to unbind it. (you probably weren't casting a spell) move this topic to rules questions.

Nope it's divine magic not a spell. That's the nice thing about the lord relictor and devoted of sigmar.
KHHaunts
Abilities have always come under a different heading. And to my knowledge there arent any spells or abilities that directly effect other "regular abilties" as in something that could prevent you from using it. Magic, command abilites and abilites function in similar ways but should be considered completely different things.
RuneBrush
To clarify it even more, spells need to be "cast" (normally on 2D6 as per the main rules) and will appear in their own section under Magic on a warscroll. Stormcast and Bloodbound don't have any casters, so sadly his Runelord is unlikely to be able to do much unbinding.
HeadHunter
If I may be honest, looking at your other threads... your brothers really need to RTFM. I don't know where they're getting their ideas from but it's like they are playing a totally different game.
