When exactly is a save after save done?

rosa

Question

Hey there,

i am really unsure about the order of save after save abilities (e.g. Disgustingly Resilient). What is correct?

1: To Attack, to wound, save, save after save and than damage (e.g. d6)

2: To Attack, to wound, save, damage (e.g. d6), safe after safe

I would think 1 ist correct?

Thank you very much

Roman

To clarify this. The aftersave take place when wounds are allocated to models.

This means when the attacking unit has three weaponprofiles all 3 weapons are resolved the damage added up in a pool and after this the wounds are allocated to the models.

This is how Page 7 of the core rules is explaning the rules.

The “save after save” is actually a damage negation not really a save. That is just what a lot of us (myself included) call it.

”when this model suffers a wound or mortal roll a die and on a x+ that wound is ignored”

This means it is done after the damage step because no wounds are actually suffered until that point.

Number 2 is the correct way.
