Overread Posted February 6, 2019 Share Posted February 6, 2019 Generally its best to ask your local club/event organiser for local specifics. Many of the Getting Started Battalions were included in the very early days of AoS when there weren't any points, so many still have no points attached to them even now. I would consider them, by and large, a legacy element and, as you say, shouldn't be valid in a regular matched play environment. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This is stated in the Corebook FAQ Quote Q: Some units and battalions have a warscroll, but the warscroll does not have a Pitched Battle profile. Can I use these units or battalions in a Pitched Battle game? A: No. These units and battalions are only intended for use in open or narrative play games.
