MeridarchGekkota
Anyone got any advice or a guide on making bases like the nighthaunt easy-to-build boxes? It's kinda weird to me that GW haven't tried selling these sort of bases yet, as they're damn cool. In case you don't know what I mean:
ManlyMuppet88
Been thinking about this myself. My current plans are to buy the Sigmarite Mausoleum, use the mausoleums themselves as objectives and chop up the rest to scatter around on bases. Expensive way to go about it though and there are almost certainly some great 3rd party bases being made out there.
Tropical Ghost General
I have given up in using them, cutting the models up where possible. Still have the myrmourns to do ?. I am using greenstuff rollers and other bits for mine. Look on greenstuff world and other similar sites, as they have some good basing bits, such ss gravestones and shrubs, that allows you to get close to the GW ones. Picture is of my part finished basing scheme (need to add grass tuffs), done using cobblestone greenstuff roller and texture paint for a grass type look. TheWilddog
I have used the small bricks and tombstones from Greenstuff World to work mine up. Here is an example:
kenshin620
Not sure if it has enough "raised terrain" detail but theres base stamps like Basius where you use greenstuff to created texture bases (though Ive personally never used them so I cant tell how good they are). Then I guess add other scenery details as necessary.
mDaro
I know it's frowned upon but they don't sell the bases so why not make a mold and cast the tops. If you pour it right you'll have a flat scenery piece you can glue to a regular base. You'll be able to break up the pieces to change them around and make the bases less identical.
