The First of Many Clashes...

I'm pleased to say that the past weekend a number of battles were fought over the realms between the warriors of Khorne, virulent denizens of Nurgle and agile Woodland Aelfs.

Bit of a mixed baggage on results and sadly no decent pics (will do better next time).

Battle 1: Bloodbound vs Wanderers

Good job Khorne doesn't care from where the blood flows as gallons of it was spilled by the arrows of the Wanderers who achieved a Major Victory holding onto a precious copse of trees.

Battle 2: Bloodbound vs Nurgle

The armies of the Chaos Gods clashed in a mighty fight of axe and rusted sword

Battle 3: Wanderers vs Nurgle

The Wanderers arrows proved again to be decisive in their defence of another copse of trees, providing them with a narrow victory against their hated foe

Battle 4: Bloodbound vs Nurgle

Once again the armies of the Chaos Gods collided, both intent on obliterating the other.  A narrow victory to Khorne but dozens of casualties on both sides.

 

Overall, the three of us playing were really impressed with AoS.  We managed to get more games in than we ever have of 40k and next time with a bit of planning reckon we can easily get in 6 games without too much hassle.  It's really fired up our keen for getting more models painted and getting some of the scenery we've had on shelves for decades assembled and painted.  Most likely be up against Seraphon rather than Wanderers next time and the Nurgle army will loose it's small contingent of Bloodletters.

Agreed, as we said over the weekend, it's nice that we're all learning at the same rate currently.

Reckon the next game is going to be a bit different when we get all of our Monstrous Creatures into play...
