  1. Nobody there really to ask! All we know is what was gained from one of the Open Days last year, FW will continue to produce new Fimir models all the while they sell. There isn't a solid plan to make a Battletome - however there also isn't a solid plan not too, so if the range continues to prove popular we may see something appear in the future. We can expect the Hag (with helpers) and the Sorcerer released at some point this year all being well.
  2. Yes, the death roller was done in NMM and having seen it from a few angles can confirm I didn't spot anything that matched the rumour engine pic. I also didn't find out anything new from the open day at WHW yesterday. The new Khorne Dragon is coming along nicely and Trish had one there which looks like it's ready to be molded up
  3. Yup, this is the new Khorne Daemon Prince model that Keith Robterson has sculpted (which is gorgeous). I would guess we'll see him released during January.
  4. I think we're going to find out a lot tomorrow on the twitch stream. Rob clearly was very keen on how it works and although it's his job to promote the game, we all know what an AoS nut he is, so if he's this enthusiastic then I reckon we're in for something very good
  5. Just confirmed: Disciples of Tzeentch Battletome
  6. So we're just waiting for the original (dwarf) rumour pic and the latest one to be revealed...
  7. I think we're being very premature about this without seeing everything in context - the box set was put up for sale a week too early and some of the bits on the app too. There's no guarantee we have the whole picture from the tiny sliver of information that's been gleaned from the app. We also know that the app is frequently out of sync with everything else so it's plausible that something got entered with placeholder information and was set live. Also it probably makes sense to move the conversation to it's own topic I'm personally really excited about having rules for the Exalted Bloodthirster! I've had one in my cupboard for over a decade now (although the whips need replacing). Looks like the rules may be written outside of FW too.
  8. AoS wise, not masses! Probably about 2500~3000 of Khorne models (roughly 50% painted), 500 of Ogres, 400 of metal Dwarves and 400 of metal Daemonettes. Lots of limited edition characters too and I'd expect lots of randoms if I looked hard enough. 40k wise probably running around 5000ish of Space Wolves, and 4000 of Ad Mech/Mechanicum though nowhere near all assembled or painted.
  9. This is the same for pretty much any Daemon army, there is a whole host of Mortal battleline units that you can use though.
  10. Could always release some units with both the Order and Chaos GA's on - would be completely different to anything else we've seen and reflect them fighting for more than one alliance
  11. You and me both! I've done the "e-mail when in stock" thingy just in case they're able to secure some more but I'm not hopeful in truth. In fairness even at the full price (GW still had them on their own site) they're a really good saving
  12. I contacted the guys at Element who said that GW had only given them stock of the Battleforce that numbered in the single figures. They felt that there was an issue in production which is why they'd been limited as hard as they had.
  13. My punt on the rumour pic - something completely new. A Steamhead Duardin construct (I'm thinking the Dwemer Constructs in Skyrim) that is part of a new artillery piece or similar. I can't see it fitting into Ad Mech as it currently stands, however there have been rumours of new units coming out.
  14. One thing I will say is that AoS had quite a decent run of releases at the beginning of the year until August time - when we had Seeds of Hope and they promised the results would change the game world. Since then though we've not had many brand new AoS releases we have had a lot of coverage from the community team - in fact most of the streamed events have been AoS and there are quite a few blog posts too. I'm not trying to justify it or derail the Rumour thread but it's easy to forget things that happened the beginning of the year (and one of them was the Generals Handbook!)
  15. Sorry to disagree (and this is a prime reason why it needs clarifying), but your point 6 is in the wrong place (assuming you're talking about a single units attacks). Your point 6 should be between points 4 and 5. You calculate the damage pool for all attacks and weapons before applying special rules to ignore/half/reduce wounds.
  16. Not quite sure what you mean by this? Battalions don't allow you to break the army composition rules (they do in 40k but not AoS)
  17. Apologies - this became a lot longer than I anticipated! Specific to GHb (i.e. not the core rules!) +1 - hex based map campaigns - and bringing back the Mighty Empires set too +1 - Traits and artefacts for all pre-GHb armies +1 - Path to Glory for all armies & races +1 - Clarification of "what is my allegiance" - it's a bit fuzzy currently +1 - extra battleplans across the board Pointing some of the Battalions in boxes (though not all) Alternative Path to Glory that is points based rather than random (would then factor in new factions) Pull traits/artefacts into it's own section rather than poked at the back with points Tweak to GA artefacts to make them more generic (e.g. Chaos Runeblade but giving it to a hero with a mace) Prevent GA artefacts being given to named characters Add in a 0~750 point bracket (1 battleline, 1 behemoth, 1 artillery) Points tweak (lower): Mighty Skullcrushers; Bloodcrushers Turn time guideline for matched play (which could be enforced) State to "use the latest version of the warscroll" - though this would require a version number/date to be added and the app & website to have the same warscroll My big "long shot" - don't have points as part of the GHb, have them as a separate (and free) supplement, but keep all of the three-style-of-play rules, battleplans, artefacts, traits contained within the GHb. Of the items I don't personally think are needed -1 points per model -1 changes/removal of battleline (sorry, I think it works fine)
  18. I'm thinking the same - I have about 10 daemonettes and 7 or 9 on steeds. They're the only sculpt I've ever really liked for them, but £25 for ten is pretty steep as I'd be wanting at least 30 and I know there's some other releases (non AoS) coming soon I'm after
  19. Yup, fairly sure we'll see rubric marines both power and terminator armour. What is very interesting is that @0.51s it's Tartaros armour - the same mark as in the Prospero box
  20. Interesting! Although it's 40k, if you watch through you'll see what I think looks like a Tzaangor with a bolt pistol? No idea how they fit into the fluff, but I guess there's potential for a dual 40k/AoS kit based on this (and how interchangeable recent models have been).
  21. Yup, confirmed with one of the posts on the 40k Facebook group. The dirty, dirty thousand sons are going to try out their nasty magics on Fenris (can't tell I'm a 'wolves player can you). I'm pretty sure this is how we'll see Magnus brought in and don't think it's beyond the realms of impossibility to see the Sisters of Silence be re-introduced to the 40k cannon. Plus there is the rumoured 40k Russ
  22. Let's not beat around the bush - this is a high saving box designed for people to put on a Christmas list from their nearest and dearest I'm interested that the Ad Mech box is a really weird mix of models, clearly intended to be used alongside the SC: Skitarri box and likely with a new combined-formation in... Agree with the general concensus that the Bloodbound set is a little lack-lustre, very similar to the SC box too. That said we've not seen pictures yet so this might not be 100% correct.

Yes, but his Slaughter attack value increases as he starts taking damage. His damage table is reversed from others so he starts off at 4 and goes to 8 attacks whereas a comparable unit may start off at 8 and drop down to 4. The thing is that is rage gives him a lot of bonuses when Incandesent - potentially 5 mortal wounds from his Roar of Total Rage, every hit of Total Carnage will be dishing out 8 instant wounds/eath to a single model not to mention lots of re-rolls. Total Carnage is brutal especially if you boost his attacks by other means. In fairness, this is my own reading of the warscroll, so somebody might spot something I've missed that links the rage mechanic with the Slaughter and Carnage rules

To be honest, the damage table would be clearer if the rage column were on the right hand side His rage level and Slaughter/Carnage values are separate entities (but really not that clear). I originally thought that everything was based on his rage level, but the actual ability says nothing about it modifying his Slaughter or Carnage melee attacks so I've taken it that those are based on the number of wounds suffered in the normal way. If it did work based on his rage, it'd be easy to exploit by keeping him out of combat for a single turn and then unleashing 8 attacks and total carnage on a 1+, which just doesn't seem right.
