Some of the people spreading rumours (which have been exceptionally accurate about Soul Wars so far) have stated that charging units go first in the combat phase.
Here's hoping for Seraphon! As one of the armies with a first-wave battletome, and with Slann being such potentially good wizards, I'm curious to see how they transition them into AOS2.
Doing 3 mortal wounds to yourself... but also every enemy unit within 3", and 3D3 to any unit with 10+ models. That's a pretty good ability! Not a bad melee weapon, either.
If I had to guess I would say 120 points
The current Stormcast battletome is a hot mess and it seems like rules team has pivoted their design after working on 40k for so long, so I think it's fair to assume there will be a new battletome with the upcoming release
Rolling for turn order is fine. If you don't like it then just add a house rule. You'll quickly see how static and boring the game becomes when you can predict the flow of the game from deployment...
AOS does not need the same restrictions on deep strike that 40k has. There are far less units capable of doing it and they are far less impactful when they do it.
There is a +2 movement upgrade
I think you guys really undervalue how amazing it is to attack 3 tiles and then push another 1 - only Khorne and Skaven can counterattack after that, and you've got great reaction ploys to deal with them.
The guns only do 1 damage but with a 6 tile (!!) threat range you can control the board easily. Every one of your models will be attacking every turn, and they'll be doing it from a SAFE distance. It's a paradigm shift to end an attack outside of enemy charge range.
My impression is that you want to get in enemy territory on the first turn, possibly make some melee attacks or score some objectives while you're there, then run away while shooting after losing 0-1 models.
Being able to charge AWAY from enemies and still attack (which can push them away!) and then use ploys to further your distance... Seems good.

Seems really strong, but I wonder how they'll deal with mortal wounds
When did they say it was the Year of Death?
LON, a new Nighthaunt release, a global campaign, the narrative being focused on the Soul Wars, multiple novels, a (supposed) magic supplement... what more do you want?
Oh, that's... interesting. Does this imply that you can use more than one command ability per turn? Can non-generals use their abilities?
So many questions.
