  1. I have a few head cannons about how the Chaos Dwarfs came to be, but this isn't the place for them. The only official piece of lore I know about is a short reference in the short story "Auction of Blood" by Josh Reynolds, a Tie-In to the Spear of Darkness Book.
  2. The city of Zodange from the 2012 film John Carter could easily be one of the bigger Cogforts. In generell, a lot of the stuff in that movie could fit into the mortal realms. Besides that, I think its not too hard to build a smaller version for the tabletop game. A few WHFB towers, a few mechanical parts and large smoke stacks combined with the turrets from the Kharadron Ironclad und Frigates and you have a small scale "Gear bastion".
  3. Man, im drawing one right now! The story was really inspiring. I think its great they have gone back to them. They first described them in the Shadow over Hammerhall booklet, I think. I even think a smaller version (a Gear Tower?) could even fit into the game as a behemoth for the Ironweld Arsenal faction, kinda like a walking Kharadron Ironclad.
  4. Or a entire Kharadron Overlords Arkanaut Ironclad. All the dwarfen ships have the WAR MACHINE Keyword. A buff to hit rolls, plus re-rolling ones trough the Knight-Azyros and shooting twice because of the Ordinator will result in a exterminatus level of firepower.
  5. @Aos Forge I think maybe we are going to see upgrade kits for the new plastic sets. The whole Kharadron line would be perfect for this. Add a few new turrets to a airship, a few guns for the arkanauts and if they sell well, maybe we are going to see some of the bigger Airships teased in the battletome. We know that they selled really well and GW is looking into releasing more Sky Dwarfs.
  6. It was said around Christmas that they are nearly finished putting a new AoS Team together. Im not sure how quick Forge World works but I think we still have to wait a bit longer before we can see anything new.
  7. Are we sure that they put eveything they have into that Video? Because it feels like there are still a few things missing from it: -another build for the GUO (like the LOC/Kairos kit and Blood Deamon/Skarbrand) -a small deamon hero like the changeling -Pestigors?? (Atia teased them a while back) EDIT: found it
  8. Besides the fantastic looking Blight Kings, beasts and GUO, the one Plague Bearer on the left is everything nurgle should be. The trunk, the scrolls of parchment going trough his belly and the giant maw on his shoulder, everything about him is deeply upsetting and perfectly fitting for a servant of nurgle! Also, whats the deal with the Blight Tree? Is it going to be a piece of scenery like the wyldwoods are for the Sylvaneth, or is it going to be a real unit?
  9. Im really excited about this. Short stories mean Spear of Shadows sold well enough. I hope for more Eight Lamentations books. The first one is full of things that make Age of Sigmar unique.
  10. Its not overhyped. We are pretty sure they are coming. The only question is when. The Cthulhu elven rumor was started by a comment coming from Hastings over on War-of-Sigmar. He has a pretty good track record. Back in mid 2016 he talked about the Kharadron release, he even described the looks of the Skyrigger kit. I think the elven were planned for the end of 2017 but GW was forced to change their plans as a reaction to the production problems in Nottingham.
  11. I just looked through the Total War: Warhammer Forum and found something interessting. User Gamge wrote: "[...] I know in an investors report they singled out the Kharadron in particular as being very very successful even for AoS. None of the armies released for AoS barring the Stormcast have had any new models released after their first wave. GW has basically said we'll definitely see more of the Kharadron Overlords in the future. So they sure did something right with them. So it means that at least the Overlords did good enough to get green lit for more support in the future. [...]" Has anyone heared something similar? A second wave of models for a non-stormcast army would be something new for Age of Sigmar. Are the Kharadrons the first army to sell well enough, or are they just getting a higher priority and we get more for the older AoS armies down the line?
  12. The Deep Ones/Cthulhu Aelven rumor started after a comment from Hastings on War-of-Sigmar back in April. I still think we will get them. Hastings was right about the Kharadron Release (including details about minitures) Back in 2016. Maybe there has been a re-scheduling because of the rumored production Problems?
  13. Finaly! Maybe FW will make all the different Kharadron skyvessels GW teased in the Battletome.
  14. 1. A Solid 10. Hastings talked about cthulhu/deep one aelven Back in March. He also was right about the Kharadrons Release so its track record still Stands. 2. No idea, a 4 or a 5, maybe. Thats the First time i hear about this. 3. More likely, 6-7. They are mentioned often in the KO Battletome. It would be Strange for GW to teaser them so heavily and do nothing. 4. A Solid 9. They talked about what armies got new abillities in the GH2017. They implied that armies that didnt get anything are bound to get a something new in 2018.
  15. The User Temouloun on War-of-Sigmar: "I heard a rumor that not one but two Aelves factions are in the production line. One is the Sea/Cthullu we've heard about for a long time and the other one is a female only Aelf cult/group/thing linked to Morathi and with a strong "black" theme. And by heard I mean read, and by rumor I mean a conversation between an employee who has access to the production line and a selected community contributor. You have no reason to believe me but I'm so freaking excited I had to tell." https://war-of-sigmar.herokuapp.com/bloggings/2452 Could be nothing but two aelven factions fits the two aelven heroes from Silver Tower.
  16. Naval Realmgates are implied in the Scourge Privateer background text in the GA: Order Book. Some of them should even be big enough to fit a Black Ark. Also, we know that at least Azyr, Aqshy, Ghur, Chamon and Ghyran have oceans. I think the Mortal Realms have enough room to house multiple naval factions.
  17. Wow, they look really disgusting… And I mean that in a good way! Im surprised how good these two kits fit together.
  18. We will definitly See more nurgle Units with the Battletome -GW established a pattern with the Thousand Sons Release Last year. The 40K Release with a deamon Primarch and two months later the AoS Release with a greater deamon. -new artwork heavily features GUOs, all of which are similar in Design but different from the current one, so the Artist needed a new model to base their drawing on. -the drawing from the DG codex has to be the new version of a nurgle beast. They share key features like the snail body, a long slimy tongue and the tentacle like hair. -also, Atia on War-of-sigmar basicly confirmed pestigors. I think nurgle will get its big release in 2 months.
  19. https://war-of-sigmar.herokuapp.com/bloggings/2372 Atia said: " Howdy Guys and Girls Littel teaser from Blightwar - what kind of factions make up the forces of Nurgle in AoS Regards, Lady Atia" So I guess Pestigors are confirmed for Age of Sigmar
  20. I just finished "Auction of Blood". What a great short story. We got a look into one of the Seeds of Hope from the campaign last year, a Chaos Dwarfs reference and a kick ass aelve. I finished the story in one go and now I can't wait for the Eight Lamentations Book. Josh is becoming my favorite Age of Sigmar author.
  21. We already know that the Scourge Privateers (Corsairs) are a faction present in the cities of the mortal realm. In "City of Secrets" they are shown as a mafia like organization. Not as highly respected as the Stormcast Eternals but still a vital part of the society in the mortal realms. Just as a example, the Anvilgard Box can represent the garrison of a lonely naval base deep inside a swamp in ghyran. (Thinking a twisted and darker version of the swamps in louisana.) A region where nurgles corruption still lingers just beneath the surface. The privateers are trained sailors but even they are struggling navigating the dark waters. Where they are regularly fighting of ambushes from twisted monstrosities. So they request the help of the Judicators. These stormcasts are skilled in finding even the smallest trace of chaos corruption. So together they patrol the waters of the swamp. Slowly fighting back against the things hiding there. So when they hear unnatural screams and ominous chanting from deep within the swamp, they don't wait for the forces of chaos to hit them first. They assemble a group of the most hardened veterans to search for the origin of this darkness.
  22. Yes, the Lothern Sea Guard was part of the High Elves. But there was also a whole race of Sea elves once in the world-that-was. http://whfb.lexicanum.com/wiki/Sea_Elves_(outdated) AoS could be the perfect opportunity to bring them back. Or somehow incorprate them into existing factions like the swifthawk agents or the scourge privateers.
  23. Interesting, I had a similar idea after seeing that kickstarter. But I thought that they would make a fine cathay army. Ninjas and Samurais tend to outshine its neighbours, even though medieval china has a rich history aswell. These minitures gave me enough motivation to try to make my own warscrolls. I have made two until now, one inspired by medieval warrior monks and the Shaolin. And one thats just the Chu Ko Nu repeater crossbows transported to the mortal realms. I even have a rough idea for a background story thats more than just basicly chinease history. Maybe putting them into GA: Chaos, as tzeentch was know to be openly worshipped by some parts of old cathay. This is just my first attempt for a completely fan made unit, so Im not sure in which direction I want to take this. But I thought about intergrating some kind of order system like the AM in 40K to show how highly disciplined cathays troops are.
