  1. I think once again it s disappointing that this does not help the factions that need help. Getting extra vps to hunter units if they kill units they can t kill, besides prime hunters destructions faction bringing kragnos, is not going to help Kragnos in gloomspite gitz and more so in bonespliiterz is getting a buff he sure didn t need since he got a new warscroll

  3. And pink don t meet any of these criteria. There are no wound allocated on models as they are single wound models. And the unit typically ends up with more models after you attacked them than what they had at the start of the turn 😀
  4. You still only have 1 chosen general despite having multiple generals in Invaders for slay the warlord. Same for Vendetta
  5. Most of the priority targets in this battlescroll are units I cannot kill with my hedonites. As stated above, it will help other armies (not prime hunter ones unless they have kragnos without priority target units themselves) but will this change the competitive lists? I think we ll see less Sob but they were already trending down struggling against Stormcasts and IJ. IDK is another one that will give them a hard time Overall, I m pretty indifferent regarding this update as it s not hurting us either but it is definitely not providing the help we need

  7. I have reduced my book purchase quite a bit. While I bought some in digital and other in paper in the past, I have yet to use any codes for the digital content we pay for when buying the aos 3 battletomes. I really hope they will revisit this code with paper purchase model. In the mean time I ll buy a lot less I only purchased the orruk warclan tome because I was able to get it at the aos 2 tome price while I also own a stormcast and an idoneth army, I have no intention to purchase their new battletomes at this new price

  9. Great post, thanks for sharing. Let s not forget savage spearhead, monstruous take over and ferocious advance cannot be achieved by summoned units as they specify units from your starting army. I usually select savage spearhead early on for that reason with monstruous takeover and eventually ferocious advance if I don t have anything better to do Extra points: Broken ranks - Likely the easiest.I tend to see if a battleline has already sustained damage or if I can concentrate fire to get that one. We don t have very killy units like other books do to guarantee this one. If the opportunity is there, I ll favor a monster to attenpt to finish it off. Don t forget the spell to turn into a monster for this one Bring it down - more poiints as you re also killing a monster and get a bonus point here. Same idea as broken ranks. Our army is typically unable to kill the big monsters from full health. I ll deal some damage in previous turn and select the tactic later on, killing units in multiple turns play alos toward our depravity generation. Again, spell to turn into a monster can net you that extra point here Slay the warlord - Many armies have now god like characters counting as a second general although slay the warlord applies to their chosen general. I ll tend to not even bother with that one until the end unless I see an opportunity and there are no other general in the army so my opponent effectively loses a CP per turn. Lurid haze is great for that against opponent who take cheap support piece as their general and screen poorly but it s pretty rare List building My favorite monster we can take: Belakor (need to try Synessa soon bur dark master is so key as our army typically cannot survive a double turn and belakor helps with that a ton) My chosen general : Glutos(our command trait and artefacts are bad) He almost never dies. He survived a gotrek at my last event. Opponents underrestimate him because nobody play hedonites and usually lose 2VPs on that one. He does decent damage supports other units cam turn himself into a monster for an extra vp and his warscroll spell is clutch against the big baddies we cannot deal with Battlelines: our battleines are weak and I typically only prevent my opponent to score broken ranks with a good roll on a redeploy ( I always will spend the cp on the redeploy) Grand strategy: predators domain is the easiest we can achieve by process of elimination because our summoned units can contribute to its success
  10. Glutos is a good pick taking the space of 1 lord of pain. He is our best caster, he is not slow with run and charge starting turn 2 and can be an anvil on it s own. If you don t mind fielding allies, belakor is also a good pick. You d go to 2 drops but his dark master ability helps offset the one drop adantage
  11. Gw changes the points enough that we don t need to play smaller points as our standard game. My 2k aos1 khorne army jumped to 2500pts when the second ghb dropped. That has the same effect as them saying the default game size we recommend is 1500pts. Since I ve played aos, my armies have kept shrinking in terms of number of models on the table and now look no bigger than what I ve seen on the table when people played privateer press warmachine most of the time. It s been the opposite of my fantasy battle experience where armies kept getting bigger with point drops and rule changes promoting bigger unit blocks. I guess we ll see what direction gw decides to go after the realm of guhr but if we don t reverse the trend of small armies, I don t see any reason to look at playing games smaller than 2k
  12. With the ghb, I saw my collection increase in points by about 10%. With those changes it was effectively cheaper to build a 2000pts army for about 9 months. This latest price increase just bring us back to where we were monetary wise to build a 2k army. I don t see this as a reason to look into smaller point games
  13. Rend 3 on Slaangor makes a lot more sense considering the lore. Too bad this is only with the Beast of chaos allegiance
  14. I think the problem stormdrake guards bring to us is the same as Sons of behemat and nothing in our battletome provides a good answer to it. I m finding myself running belakor as an ally to work around it and the god characters for 1 turn and try to get ahead in VPs Twinsouls in 10 can do some serious damage but with save stacking, they really need a pip of rend on their profile to be where they need to be
  15. I think when redeploying twinsouls they suffer for not being able to get rerolls nor 5+ ward not being on the board at the time you gain the ability turn 1
  16. I like the idea of redeploying some blissbarb for better positioning. I ve struggled in godseekers to bring them close enough to maximize their shots turn 1 in the past
  17. The great bray shaman sounds. like a good idea. It gives you that 2nd hero you re considering summoning and since coalition beast of chaos now come with the mark of Slaanesh, it s another gateway to summon from. With your faction terrain and the lord of pain you now have 3 points to summon from. For summoning seekers are good for their speed but they ll be equivalent to deamonettes on the turn they are summoned. Fiends are not worth investing into at the moment. Consider having an exalted chariot for summoning instead, they are a source of mortal wound the army lacks

  20. If you think mvt 8 without any mvt ability gives you the edge on getting the charge I d say you haven t been playing aos much lately

  23. You can t event expect depravity from those poor beasts. 9 wounds on a 5+ save they die in a single round of combat against most enemy units and as a rrsult never get to do their mortal wound rolls either
  24. That exalted chariot kit already does not fit on the base GW provides so at this point I d say go for it and convert away. Those exalted seekers are so nice and easy to build if you don t do the riders!
