  1. Exactly. I would drop the Bloodwarriors, 3rd Slaughterpriest, perhaps the Bloodstoker, in hopes of also getting in a Ghorgon. The Formation costs to do this is ridiculous for the benefit essentially of +1A on 9 Bullgors. I would almost be tempted to drop the 2nd Slaughterpriest as well. I've been doing fairly well in a moderate climate of tournament meta with a Warherd army. And you play them for the -2 rend and 3 dmg and use other tools instead of the Herdstone/spells rend. I've struggled with Bullgors at 6-large (they just seem like needless wounds) especially as I prefer to send 3 Bullgors, a Doombull and a Ghorgon at the enemy instead of 6 buffed Bullgors.
  2. Not me, I do really well with 4x 10 Dryads. Often -2 to hit with the Treestomp around as well. They pump out a good number of attacks and are great at being road blocks while the heavy hitters are off dealing with bigger threats. And that's fine to have that opinion.
  3. duh,.. sorry. "Spells available to Wizards in a Beasts of Chaos Army".
  4. I prefer 10-man also. 3 threats and they can still pump out the hurt at 10-man. Also you can get them all within range of aSpawn if you are playing Gavespawn. I would not swap 3 Bullgor and a CP for a ghorgon. I love my ghorgon(s).
  5. Enlightened on foot but that may be within Brayherd context more than allies to Slaanesh. The Shaman now has access to the "lore of the wild" or whatever it is called so you can get +1A to Melee attacks on a monster (Exalted), or make an enemy monster attack itself or a friendly unit.
  6. Okay fair enough. I've used Winterleaf for a while now and really like it. The re-rolling has always impressed me. But the Frostheart is a powerful warscroll indeed.
  7. Sure but you should want for Wanderers to be better ? Vince is often incorrect on rulings he states in the show when it comes to obscure or weirder rules. And deliberately pronounces things incorrectly to be "funny". I would take him with a grain of salt.
  8. I see why you would do 10-man units, it is easier to visualize the damage output. However a comparison of 3 swords vs 6 Scythes is equally as valid. This debate has raged since the book was dropped. Also I think your last paragraph highlights my point that we should be looking at this not as a dmg output argument. Will the Frostheart get to re-roll 1s vs chaos or is the rule Sylvaneth only? If the latter I would drop it to make use of that ability as you are paying for it, and it is good.
  9. Hmmm I thought they were BL based on the general. Thanks for the catch. Wrathmongers also. Bloodsecrator + Wrathmongers aren't hard to get onto Bullgors (and in Khorne re-rolling 1s to hit on that many attacks helps more) and can be a good second line charge after your glass cannon goes poof. I like this but I would pump more units into it from Brass Despoilers than Gore pilgrims as the benefits of boosting Bullgors or Bestigors is a greater payoff than bossing Bloodreavers. 6-man Bullgors... your enemy has to be really spread out for that to be more than 12 extra wounds. But I'm arguing your details,.. (also I play Open Play cards, not scenarios). Clearly we're both on the same direction
  10. Do you find a lot of situations in game where 10 Swords are all in B2B with only a 1" reach? The argument of Swords vs Scythes is about reach and list building, not dmg. 2 x 3 Swords vs 1 x 6 Scythes as both options are good.
  11. Oh?! It would be neat for some new characterful Heralds.
  12. Yup. What Rhu said about Slaanesh, as much as I want to run a KHorne Minotaur list again I'm pretty excited to combine Slaanesh and Beasts.
  13. Jes Goodwin sculpts. It is a good story, contains N'Kari and a fast pace. I recommend it.
  14. Back in the Warseer days Harry stated as part of the change to "this new round base skirmish game" we would see an army like Lizardmen continue but they wouldn't get new models. Unless there is some crazy sales of Lizardmen/Seraphon I can't see him being wrong about that.
  15. That was a good bat rep. Mark Shoemaker created the FB Wanderer group and a champion of AoS in the early days.
  16. Right but those are exceptions. Undead and daemons have LD 10 and that's a uniqueness. Which is my point about Beasts of Chaos are a Horde army that traditionally had poor LD. Maybe I'm just missing the point. Its all good
  17. Yeah maybe; the Frostheart was popular in Wanderers last year. Also the +1 vs Chaos, you want to maximize that on Sylvaneth in my experience (closest gaming buddy is Rotbringer/Blight King guy).
  18. I'm not as precise but nearly as accurate in my certainty this is correct (sorry, nerd jokes based on hearing precise and accurate at work all yesterday). On the latter, I stumbled upon a 5th ed bat rep about a year ago in an old WD that had a mixed nurgle force of: GUO, Plague Monks, Skrolk, Plaguebeaerers, Nurgle Chaos Warriors, nurglings. It was a thing of beauty and reminded me why I defend AoS, For the gamers who truly want a great narrative army it is built into the core of the game.
  19. There are 3 times the Slaanesh players locally than Moonclan. So yes?
  20. It doesn't? Well that's good. I haven't played mine for a while so I don't recall the bravery but I know it wasn't super high on infantry. I don't know what LON means :| Don't skaven have a Strength in Numbers rule? Also Bonesplitters are they a horde? 200 models a table? No one plays them locally :(
  21. Me too but while they are a horde army, they have always had low leadership "they scare easily but will be back in greater numbers" - Obi Wan
  22. Yeah I get that. To me she gets an extra shooting attack for being the champion. Then you get a second round of shooting if they don't move and she has the two shots. I think Skirmish was mentioned? From what I gather Sisters of the Watch can be brutal in Skirmish, particularly a 4 shot champion (i guess 6 if she gets charged)
  23. She should be able to shoot 4 times if she didn't move IMO
