  1. Perhaps we have to view the (perceived) "nerfs" in light of other new books - from what I've understood, the new Night Goblins aren't terribly OP for example. Perhaps they're trying to tone armies down a bit. I think it'll be wise to wait until GH19 before we can see the longterm ambitions with the book(s).
  2. Thanks, but this does look like a bit of a misread, as it's pretty much exactly the same as before except for the "ranged" part. Anything on the Khorgoraths for this batallion? Prev they got +3 attacks.
  3. https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NZ/Khorne-Bloodbound-Mighty-Skullcrushers They also get a 3+ save. Fuuug yea.
  4. They also get +1 to charge from the banner. Would be nice to see some statistics on the damage output difference.
  5. I know you didn't want to go through the batallions, but please, Skulltake batallion (skullreapers, khorgoraths, whip guy), any sign of it?
  6. They'd have to last for atleast the battleround, I guess? Otherwise the skulls wouldn't have the change to affect the enemy spellcasters. Blood warriors - what do people think will be the optimal build with the changes to Gorefists?
  7. With the Blood tithe table remaining as it is I get the feeling they don't really want Khorne to be a summoning-heavy army but just a few units here and there. And I feel, since we seem to be getting improvements to many units, maybe that will be fine.
  8. Or atleast give them +1 attack when affected by the totem and not just within 12". Simpler than now and a bit more likely I think.
  9. Man I'm really curious to see if the Skulltake batallion or something similar is gonna be in the book. Can we expect a final preview tomorrow? What haven't they covered with them yet?
  10. Curious to see what's gonna happen with the Bloodsecrator now. If his rules remain the same, putting him on the Altar would make for a crafty anti-magic bubble for sure.
  11. Yeah, I am definitely converting my own Altar. Thinking something like an Order ruin (as if it's been recently invaded) with recently decapitated Stormcasts around it. Should attract Khorne's attention.
  12. I would've liked for the Altar to not just revolve around Priests and magic, but something for the actual army as well/instead. This way the supposedly fightiest combatiest army across the eight realms is still overshadowed by worship and prayers. IMHO GW has gotten lost in their own trail of ideas here. That's not to say the Judgements aren't cool or anything.
  13. I'm thinking how to convert daemon counts-as versions of these endless judgements instead. Some kind of flying, medium-sized magic-hating thing...
  14. Yeah I definitely get a realm-specific feeling from the figs in the video. Metal and Beasts, kind of.
  15. Also skills, experience, buying gear and not having pre-made characters. Basically a slightly streamlined and balanced Mordheim set in the AoS equivalent of the Chaos Wastes. The game I always dreamed of as a teenage nerd!
  16. @Sttufe Maybe the "god" is GW regretting its decision to not release a new Kharadron Overlord battletome yet. Plausible?
  17. "New magical powers and new rules for all your games" I'm guessing spells, endless spells, scenarios and new terrain rules. All the things I'm not fond of.
  18. "Even a god may regret what he has done..." Anyone care to guess what god and what deed it regrets?
  19. Furthermore regarding Mage Eater, from what I understand the spell is unbound on a hard 8 regardless of what your opponent rolled, meaning it'd dispell 8+ rolls as well. Not bad I'd say.
  20. Well it is also an extra unbind attempt regardless. I'd view the D6 wounds as a bonus. Plus we all know that D6 is ALWAYS gonna end up a 1 or 2 anyway.
  21. If I'm reading that correctly, looks like the Blood tithe system is staying the same. I've used Bloody Exemplar quite alot and that's a clear buff it's getting. Mighty Skullcrushers - it's not very easy to get every model within 1" when charging. We're also getting extra attacks though. Curious to see what happens to the Skullreapers.
  22. Just popped by my FLGS and he confirmed that March 23rd is the official release date for the book. Along with it will be the stuff that's been shown already, plus the "Judgements" which was interesting (perhaps the official name for the blood blessings?).
  23. Sorry if I come across as whining and ruining the mood of this joyous evening, but - if one's not a fan of the altar model, wouldn't it be cool to convert a ruined and desolated Ophidian Archway, and put a trail of decapitated bodies up to the top floor where the Slaughterpriest is positioned? Would give a great impression of an invading army.. https://www.games-workshop.com/en-SE/Ophidian-Archway
  24. Yeah I hope it'll be the case that it's mainly for the Slaughterpriest/Gore Pilgrims build. Hopefully one Slaughterpriest will be enough to utilize the blood blessings as well. "Next week sees a gory tidal wave of Khornate new releases for both Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000, including stunning new models, new rules and more… " That sounds like a saturday release then..?
  25. I find that 'altar' and the increased (?) dependency on Priests totally uninspiring and I really hope there will be a way to play the army without them. Worst case scenario, maybe one can convert a hilltop or something similar to the same measures. I imagine Khorne armies as invaders, not altar builders. I'm also bothered by the fact that we're supposed to carry terrain with us everywhere we go playing now . How many army cases are reasonable?
