  1. I use varnish of all different sheens. For cloth I'll use matte. For most skins I use satin or a 50/50 of satin and matte. For mouths and gross bits I use gloss or a 50/50 glass and satin. This all adds a bit of realism. I also use Vallejo through an airbrush at 50/50 water.
  2. Kruleboyz: Design. The model range themselves are incredible to me! Everything from anatomy to what I refer to as "functional fantasy' in their armor, weapons, etc is just incredibly well designed an I still get big smile every time I look upon them. They lack the more cartoonist and stylized look of their cousins in gitz and jawz and really give off a sinister vibe that is lacking in other Os &Gs ranges an I'm totally and completely here for It. Theme: I've mentioned it before but it was a bit of a gamble for Geedubs to deviate from their tried and true greenskins design and I'm glad hey did. It really does set them apart and make them unique to AoS. Cunning orcs that still maintain that brutal savage strength to rip a man's arm out of its socket is impressive. And to see them use ranged weaponry with such precision justs rounds off the appeal for me. Their use of psychological warfare is terrifying. The eery swamp theme is just icing on the cake! Can't wait to see what's next for them.
  3. Ahhh yeeees... this old AI generated corpo ******.🤬 Hopefully you get it sorted.
  4. They saved Middle Earth, damnit!!! Show them some love and respect on the tabletop!! 😁
  5. Different strokes for different folks. I look at AoS and ToW as a parent and child dycotamy. I don't want to keep reading and hearing about the exploits of the parent (ToW) as It gets stagnant. I do want to read and hear about new adventures and paths forged (AoS) by new characters and hear of their stories. As far as uniquely AoS ideas I'd say that yes it is a continuation of an established setting but there are things that are definitely different enough while still maintaining the wonderful and rich groundwork provided by ToW. I'll use orcs (orruks) as an example. Ironjawz are definitely grounded in the black orc archetype but they're also different enough. They spent the entire age of chaos up to their tusked filled chins deep in battle with chaos (ultimately keeping chaos in check until order could regroup. 😜 but that's another topic) and it actually physically changed them enough to become these massive mountains of green warrior meat so much that a typical Ardboy troop rivals Warbooses of old. Kruleboyz changed equally as much to become taller, smarter, and lankier to better adapt to their new surroundings and develop ranged warriors that rival elves of old. So again I wouldn't say uniquely AoS but enough removed from the stereotypes of old. Old or new I hope everyone gets something they can appreciate and click with. Edit:typos
  6. @Baron Klatz Thank you. I appreciate that. I dont know how they'd portray them on the tabletop though. They seem beyond reasonable miniature size albeit a really cool idea. That story bit tells of ironjawz transports. This is definitely something I'd love to see on the tabletop more. Using Kruleboyz and gitmob as an example I think a gnarly water buffalo for krules and a gnarly plains bison for gitmob would make for wonderful and fun minis as well as new and fun gameplay. One could only imagine many things for other factions. Why should the overlords have all the transport fun. I've never been a fan of the magically teleporting of units across the tabletop for most armies. Things like Tzeentch, etc I can understand but for the most part it just seem creatively and mechanically lazy. Bring on transport beasts!!! 🤘
  7. Oh man, hope it's Zagnog (leaked Kruleboyz killaboss) and the wizard sce if there is. 🤞 I actually emailed geedubs asking about these and just got a typical corpo ****** answer that was probably created by AI.. 😑
  8. Heard they'll be buff, half naked, and riding horses. This is just a rumor so swallow with salt.
  9. Kinda meh for my stuff. My ironjawz as of yet finished army just gained an extra 90 points though.
  10. I dont play ogors or collect outside of a couple models but I will say that the CoS warhulk model is on point with scale and design and I hope that a total and complete refresh of this range will reflect this model going forward. Not one ogor model should be on anything less than a 50mm. This is just my opinion. If this occurs then consider me an ogor collector.
  11. Not to get our "Fantasty" forum too off track but I don't think we'll see knarloc riders. Maybe a greater at best. I think they'd overlap too much with rampagers. The unreleased rider silhouette has got to be a krootor (maybe a new name) unless they've redone the knarloc design. Anyone of these would be appreciated though. So excited for this release!! Won't say anymore as this is an AoS forum.
  12. @Gitzdee You could add a dankboss , two rockgut battline, and the burning head endless spell. This puts you at 1000 exactly and the burning skull endless spell kinda represents Glareface in a way. 😉
  13. Wasn't there army shots that had the old models in it?
  14. It's been stated in lore that glooms and gits do not really trust each other and that an uneasy alliance has formed as of late.
  15. @Gitzdee Those old sourbreaths are some of my fav sculpts of all time so hoping the take inspiration from their anatomy. @EjecutorWhy the sad face react on my theory? (Squints eyes) You know something?.... SPEAK!!! 😆 I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but I love the gitmob "regular" grot aesthetic. Not every army is for everyone.
  16. @Gitzdee Me too! Outside of refreshed classics I'd love a snarlfang war coach. Think like how the black coach was turned up to eleven with its refresh and just imagine a four fang strong armored up gitmob coach overflowing with grots!! Could be used as a transport or equipped with some devastating weaponry. I hoping the theme is speed for them with a snarfang as battline. Throw in a foot troop kit for good measure and for something the coach can dump a squad in your opponents face with. Hell, they could become nasty skulkers. All heros get mounted as well. Never heard of the worms but your deep insightfullness of AoS lore, @Baron Klatz, is always a joy to read. And the bits on Hysh magic is pretty rad. Gimmie da grots!
  17. Random thoughts. I think these two may in fact be gitmob. Here's my thoughts. First off the top image has a jaggedy blade but this is also similar to hobgrot weaponry but I think this is more so to reflect the sun (aka: glareface snazzlegit). It also has a round object behind it or on top depending on the angle that looks very similar to a snarlfang shield rim. The second image contains an arm damn near identical to the snarlfang riders and any of the Kruleboyz grots. Both images are very reminiscent of Kruleboyz aesthetic and its pretty obvious the same sculptor(s) did the grots for the kruleboyz and snarlfang kits.so it would make sense that more snarlfang would have similar design wok to a degree or two. Just same rando late night musing from a greenskin fan. Could be wrong but I dd totally get it right on the kroot spear tip markings. 😜🤘
  18. @Pizzaprez That's great list. and your warband ideas are awesome as well. I use the fomoroid crusher for a frost giant, the warcry lion from an early warband, boarboy boars, but overall very similar. I even use necrons too. I want to pick up those ghoul-rillas from the FEC warband for gorillas. I'm also trying to find a way to tweak the rules and play as a dm of sorts with more monsters and have players on a same team. Such a fun game.
  19. Was wondering if the sloggoth would work for a chariot and fantastic news to see it does!!! I think the artst of those pics I shared converted a good portion of the spears to face upwards. I'm curious if the killaboss vulcha or Gobsprakk would fit as a wyvern. Looks damn good though, @Ogregut Edit: Also thought about converting up a gore grunta sorta of like a mini maw grunta with a kruleboy rider and an orruks on each side as a chariot. Edit x2: I'd absolutely love to use the mirebrute but he's just such a beefy boy. Maybe a giant but too small and lose troll rules.
  20. I was looking into this as well. Use these guys as your basic and the steelhelms as their upgrade. Would need to do some kitbashing fo sho. There's two great "wizardy" types in the cursed city heros if you've got those. Damn, haven't played frostgrave in awhile. Need to though. This will show options
  21. In regards to terrain something I just thought of imo could be super fun and sneaky. Imagine four little swampy foxhole looking models. Before deployment place four of these on board and not in opponents terrain. Write down which two contain reserve units and deepstrike so to speak some sneaky boyz right into your opponents face!! Whatcha think?
