  1. If gw is making cities the new Imperial guard for Aos i'd say that the idea of "abhumans" will be used to some extent. Ogors mercenaries seems already given considering the rumors to mirror Ogryns(and Halflings to mirror ratlings i'd say)....it's not too far fetched.
  2. The GK still makes sense as special character coming back as he was already "him" during the new timeline, being the spirit of Gilles,so maybe a new model will come with the new game. I'm just hoping Tow will start with some Bretonnian love (ironic, as a Dawi lover first and foremost now i want cavalry?maybe the air thinned my beard and brain as the old longbeeards would say XD).
  3. So...the Green Knight video shown today is a nod to the possible starter Bretonnia vs TK box? I'm seeing too much into it?
  4. They could concentrate on doing new kits for old things and they'll be already full for at least an edition. Gitmob,Gorgers,Yetis,Troggoth hag and so on... They are not struggling they just have favoritism, see the whole "Votann debacle":they threw squat in the bin in 2nd edition because they did not like the dwarf in space idea(as far i remember). See also things like eldar in 40k that have some ancients models. Ironic enough gw could live some editions just doing new kits for some old pieces and still get the job done...but they prefer to churn out sm cause they sell (and they did a whole game about that). I'm a bit angry but destruction edition seems more like a "pause edition" for destruction at least...
  5. They just need to makes viable single box units. Iirc 8th edition worse thing was to have multiple too much boxes to field a single viable unit. Other than death stars and magic problems.
  6. I could see more an unified force of Gholemkind and classic dwarves. Gholemkind fits well as a "kruleboyz like" wave and united with an expansion for old duardin. I just hope Valaya will have a part in this, her Valikraz can be a nice addition. Also "underlords" sounds more like an army name instead of rootkings or Gazul Zagaz tbh...Khazalid underlords
  7. There were other mention of Gazul worshipper after that novella? I don't remember though....still we are pretty sure the Dawi pantheon was composed of "many ancestor gods" (seems implied many more than the "core ones" and their sons\daughters)...they can even introduce some new considering the "Thagduegi" storyline.
  8. Why not:Aos 4.0-Chorfs demonic Boogaloo? Still Malerion seems to have prepared some sort of "surprise" for Sigmar and stormcast(see the story about the coliseum "gift")....i could see him putting another dent in their process forcing Sigmar to use ONLY thunderstrike armor. Hoping that after that final refresh Grungni will be finally locked to Duardin people narrative though (maybe planning to release Valaya in some way with Grombridal).
  9. Lorewise in the whfb lore Ogres and Halflings were created at the same time by Old ones and they should have been united to help against chaos(both races are more resistant to his corruption),for some reason they got "different zones" and the symbiotic lifestyle never happened (one Ogre tribes had still some halflings as substitute to Gnoblars and they "were more sophisticated" in tech and manners iirc). I'd love some return to that idea in Aos.
  10. I said that also because i'm just waiting impatiently for a dual box KO vs Grotbag scuttlers, let's bring the Karak eight peaks championship to the skies (throw in even a Skryre armada because it would feel wrong without them). Still greenskins have an "infinite potential" that imho Aos is still not using at his fullest....hoping that the end of this edition will help those Boyz to get some new models and ideas.
  11. Ah i see...i love having both sides of the spectrum though XD (greenskins without a comedic side also feels wrong tbh). Warhammer "exaggerations" are the spices of the settings though dare i'd say...still is interesting how Idoneth refreshed the idea of a "more stable elven society that has the same problems of Dark eldar without resorting to that madness". Dark elves in whfb still were not that less sociopath though (see some festivites of the Khainite cult) but at least were more centralized and stable(or at least i always felt that way).
  12. That's the appeal of the settings(40k\whfb also) imho...while aos is more "heroic"to some extent there's only shades of gray and black(and the worst is obviously chaos). Still my post was about the fact that imho Greenskins are too often seens as comedic while they are "much more scary" and "vile"(and that's a nice point imho). I see many times also something similar is said for chaos imho sometimes that is seen by many as "misguided" or "anti-heroic"while they are obviously not (or at least i can say "road to hell is paved with good intentions").
  13. Greenskins gets delight also from torturing and pillagin though...is too "exaggerated" calling them "not vile" (while still being a force of nature as Gorkamorka intended). Even in wh40k people downplay too much their "vile side" and focus too much on the "funny side". Considering the 6th edition book of whfb i remember a nice quote about that: "I'm gonna stomp 'em to dust. I'm gonna grind their bones. I'm gonna pile 'em up inna big fire and roast 'em. I'm gonna bash 'eads, break faces and jump up and down on da bits dat are left. An' den I'm gonna get really mean." Skarnik book is even worse, they clearly love acts of pure sadism. I like Kruleboyz embodied that side of Mork worship that not only is "Cunning" but mostly is "malice that comes from being too cunning(for their own good i'd say)". But maybe i'm biased as a dawi fan XD (tbh "Greenskins vs dwarfs" will be always my iconic idea of rivals in warhammer,as i love them both).
  14. Maybe some of the narrative books will bring some new models other than spider incarnate?(before the "broken realms" cycle near the end).
  15. Remember that new edition also "waste" some months for the box armies so we could even have SM and Tyranid release "dragged on" for at least 3 months without putting out much more else giving Aos more room to Breathe. See kruleboyz\STormcast cycle and the Necron\SM one, i clearly remember 40k players being upset that the models came a long way after (september\october IIRC?).
  16. It's time for chaos dwarves getting rowdy in the pitch again! Please GW,release them for Hashut sake!
  17. Square size is different from what i meant, the new models can be put in a regiment and fits the old idea of mass ranked. Or at least for some armies(i can't say for soulblight tbh i never saw people trying, but chaos warriors at least i say yes). I don't get why some people want to die on this hill of "yes GW will double the production effort on the systems that combined still sells less than Space marines/40k" when they have already an easy solution to increase profit doing less (aka put some square bases in a box). The whole scale things is also misleading imho,8th edition fantasy was already increasing model size before eot. Let's agree to disagree and see what happens, the answer will probably come this late year. (I'm still optimistic they will manage Tow return in a good way considering Aos and 40k recent years tbh,so i'm not that worried).
  18. @Baron Klatzthe problem is that seraphon are not the only ones getting this treatment lately..chaos,gloomspites and some other legacy armies got new models and they already seems perfectly "square size fitting".It's not a coincidence Aos imho is revamping old armies, they need to help the TOW return with some new models to avoid having some armies left without new models to sell. Also hoping that the Bretonnia idea/rumor is plainly wrong...just creating upgrade old kits for Bretonnia it woul be incredibly bad saleswise...people are hungry for real new models, things from the past would be a bad choice.I can only see this for Tomb Kings 8th edition new models that were fairly recent.
  19. Two differenet lines of the same things occupy too much space in the logistics and could confuse newcomers. It does not makes sense business wise to have the same model done twice if they're functionally the same. They'll just change base size to help the dual game cross system. Saurus were already described in the lore as bigger than a human so i could see them with a new base size,gw already did that with many armies (even SM). They’ll just don't bring some things in tow, but legacy armies will just get square bases. See Gloomspites: new trolls are the same, so why they should make a "stone troll Tow version"?It would insane businesswise.
  20. The empire is gonna have Magnus that is one of the most beloved character in the background though...dwarves and elves will mostly have similar if not the same characters. I don't think that Tww player who likes the setting hate this too much,it would be stoopid imho. Also i don't get why GW should make 2 lines for the same army...they'll just add the new aos units to lizardmen and perhaps remake the old cold ones (upscaled probably?) and temple guard(or just leave the aggradons out remaking cold ones for Tow only?). They said old armies will get back so i think it's a given(high elves are already mentioned in the map and i doubt they'll leave the dark elves out).
  21. Ironweld gone means the new contraptions will be totally different? I can't see cities without those things so maybe they'll get a name change?
  22. No....the Dawnbringer crusade are composed of armies from the cities and other order alliance polities but "the crusades" are not a differentfaction.
  23. TBH i can't see them removing Gyrocopters....dawi already lost many kits the ones remained are the bare minimum? It would make strange having KO ships but not the things that spawned them technology wise(and the models were recent).
