  1. I'd consider that a joke not a feat :P. I've always said elves were becoming the Space marines of the game but now they even outgunned the astartes. But tbh if i was a Lumineth player having to buy a book for the third time in such a small timeframe i'd also be a little salty(and i don't even think they are wrong in wanting new units as players, i just think GW's practices are bad for some armies). I just hope at least one of the 2 destruction tomes will get something more than the bad single hero unit and that the white dwarf updated armies will get some new units in the future.
  2. Hobgrotz are commercial pasrtners and mediators between Chorfs and Kruleboyz but aren't like the old Hobgoblins part of the Dawi Zharr army\society nor slaves, while the Horns seems more heralds and scouts for the Hashut war industry. Centaurion also is not part of the Hashut followers as iirc the leak said they are more "gladiatoral instructors" in the eightpoints and are part of the slaves to darkness(so not linked to Hashut at all). Chaos dwarves are still dwarves, yes they use slaves and other despicable means, i can't see them using all those inferior species to be the main part of their army...after all dwarf still have pride in their craftmanship and ability. I like that Legion of Azgorh tried to blend the 3rd edition era chaos dwarves (that were just small chao swarriors) and the mesopotamian part that we all love and wants back again (mostly in their war machine crew and heroes) so i could see something like a new design but more inclined to the latter aesthetics reimagined in an aos way.
  3. Considering the article Necromunda squats are antoher thing from Votanns so at least there's still rooms for more dwarfiness, the Heartkyn warrior was nice. I just hopes the votanns helmets will be more similar to Kharadron.
  4. @Baron Klatznow that you mention Lantic empire...i really hope they'll show something of them in the new human rework. At least some bits or ruin.
  5. I still don't get it: why everyone assumes dawnbringer cursaders, that works with people like DOK and Fyreslayers in their expansion, should be non-human hating flocks of zealots? It doesn't make senses imho, as the Sigmarite Church never preached the holyness of human form or other things....hell cities nobility is made up by human, elves, dwarves so why they should just "go crazy" and destroy the very foundation that made them resistant to chaotic assaults?
  6. The necromunda prospectors seems having awkward proportion considering the hearthkyn warrior(faces seems tiny compared to the Votanns)....i don't like much the "open helmet" and the shaven faces(loving the "sergeant" with closed helmet though). Still they seems capturing the old feeling in a new way...i like the ida that GW is making differencese between the "new squats" and the necromunda ones that are more like the old models. Horns of Hashut warband seems not so great...i'd have preferred something more bulky or armored like the Iron golems. So far seemed the worst day (Kill team dropped the ball putting primaris against reneguade guard and not Kaserkin or even Votanns). @CommissarRotkeOld squats had grudges against eldar and orks in rogue trader\2nd edition era iirc.
  7. @Arzalynlittle guy seems a Votann(or a KO). Maybe Votann vs traitor guard?
  8. I could see more Lizardmen than Lumineth honestly... Also considering the battletomes imho the "big tome of Fall" will be one of the 2 destruction ones....Lumineth after Sylvaneth with a full new wave seems too early.
  9. Oh...i didn't think about what @Loyal Son of Khemrisaid...we don't even know what are the Autumn battletomes and they already teased COS overhaul! I'm a bit worried.
  10. @Fellmanthe historical feeling is still present in some parts.....liking the morion helmet.
  11. Imho Aos has always some grimdarkness in it as the old whfb...i don't think cities will become the imperium of 40k as the empire was a different thing(for example the dwarvish alliance and collaboration with people like Teclis). Human supremacists doesn't makes senses in an army like CoS (but in the lore there are Azyr supremacists that looks down reclaimed people or sigmar's priest resenting Grungni for his supposed abandon of Sigmar tbh). The things that worries me is that the new designs will be just empire 2.0 without differences from WHFB making it just the same things all over again(judging by the bits). They should makes more unified designs for the various races off COS like Sigmarites elves and dwarves as crossing their designs into a new idea. They could blend renaissance with purely-medieval aesthetics, bizzarre high magic uniforms and so on. By Grungni's beard the should make "Mortals of the mortal realms" new bizzarre designs and ideas, rightfully so as TOW is coming back with three empire factions!
  12. But it would not makes sense talkjing about new "mortal realms free people" and the just making kits straight out of the old world....i really hope they'll make some design differences..
  13. They usually mentions if something's is more to come and the article seems to say that Underworld warband and the new hero will be the only new models sadly.
  14. The fella on the left seems an old rumor engine jjudging by the silhouette. It was a sword handle.
  15. Today we got the first glimpse of the trikes....or i should say "Hovertrike": https://www.warhammer-community.com/2022/05/04/revealed-the-leagues-of-votann-get-on-their-trikes/ Intereting note the rider is a woman also...i'd hoped for some long or braided hair (as males had fluent beards) but is nice to see also some female models (coff coff GW give us Borri Kraglan as special characters for KO coff). I like the industrial\dieselpunk feel also...less clean than the previewed warrior and more similar to the squats of old(and also similar to the man of iron of Blackstone interestingly enough :P).
  16. The 40k preview gave me hope for tomorrow. I know i should stay "calm" but i'm hyped..Sylvaneth and Skaven should really have some new kits and i hope GW will deliver. Also considering the number of announcement and the World eater teaser i think MAYBE we could see also what's next after Skaven even. I don't think GW is tone deaf for the "feeling of drought of late" so i think they'll announce something even a teaser (Gloomspite?new Destruction faction?)....who knows.
  17. Countdown banner on community has a flag rensembling Skaven/Eshin clan.
  18. Hardly a controversy as the return of Squats\GSC or Fimir XD.
  19. I could see more revealing for Votann Leagues though...considering GW will pull out months before the actual release a "limited edition box" i could see them previewing more than 1 unit. They usually do 1 video for each "army" previewed so i could see them putting at least the few units of the limited edizition box for the Leagues. For the Sylvaneth "controversy" i could hypothesize: -Adding Kurnothi and\or Wanderers (but i really doubt it will be controversial) -Forsaking entirely the elvish aspect (i really doubt) -Adding many new and "not-associated" beast\units\whoknows like the Lumineth Temples "....i'd say things like "real" Centaurs and Satyrs but those are already represented in the little Kurnothi concept we got. -Adding them some sort of "purged" beastmen but it would be literally a wrecking ball in the beastmen concept and lore that i could see the most infuriating things for many people playing them(and as a "grognard" i'd also hate that). But let's see....
  20. So...considering the pic on the community about the chest of whfest it has a little green thing on top of a beetle...beetle cavalry incoming (finally)? Also there's something on the left that seems a rat monstrosity but maybe i'm reaching?
  21. @NeverchosenConsidering the warp-wobbley-timey-wimey i could see in future GW acknowledging that the new "warp entity" named Morghur in the realms will be felt by beastmen of 40k.
  22. Yep,i hope that's chorfs will lean more into real Mesopotamian inspiration than the 300 one(which is not real persian inspiration) because slaanesh already seems into tapping that.
  23. @Loyal Son of Khemrito me the guy seems inspired partially to the Persian army of 300. Which is nice because means some sort of persian/mesopotamian inspiration for chorfs is still there.
  24. The lore blueb under Horns of Hashut say they are heralds that comes before his army appears and destroy everything. So it's implies his armies are coming? Tbh i don't like the idea of having not-dwarves as his cultist.
  25. In old lore of whfb and 40k undivided princes were a thing, iirc they impressed the divine powers enough to get elevated while not choosing a patron...then they retconned that and now seems we have come back full circle finally. IIRC was mostly pushed by some BL authors (A.D.B irc?) that evolved chaos in these years(in HH series for example). And tbh i prefer like that...Chaos does'nt need such *orderly* rules.
