  1. Absolutely nothing to base this on but I’m going to hazard a guess it’s linked to that previous rumour engine of food in ammo crates, and it’s basing for new Ratlings.
  2. It would fit, however, for the Legion of the Damned.
  3. I think it’s an issue of sales rather than lack of ideas or motivation when it comes to AoS. We’ve had several trilogies cancelled after a book due to poor sales. Of course, that raises the question of if it’s the lack of sales driving the lack of support or the lack of support driving the lack of sales? GW seem to only print about 12 copies of their novels these days, if you don’t preorder day one good luck finding a print copy in non GW stores.
  4. I’m the complete opposite. I prefer only needing to look at the warscroll to know what everything can do. I have zero desire to return to having to go through pages of a rulebook looking for a specific special rule. That got really old by 7th edition 40K and 8th edition fantasy.
  5. By the Old World period, Ushoran was already well into his ghoulish decline. His unfortunately incomplete Warhammer Legends “trilogy” shows his descent in the centuries just after Nagash was defeated in Nehekhara.
  6. WHFB flagellants were convinced (rightly) it was the End Times and people needed to repent and punish themselves for their sins. AoS they flagellate themselves to purify the lands of the taint of chaos.
  7. I can see their eventual replacement with a more AoS version of religious fanatics, especially after reading how the Cult of the Wheel behaves.
  8. The red plastic doesn’t seem to take paint as well as regular grey. I lost patience with the Gorechosen they released in that colour.
  9. You’re absolutely correct. Games that go from unpainted to pre-painted go bust. The best example is Starship Troopers. It had an acclaimed ruleset by Andy Chambers, fantastic multipart miniatures. And then to bring in new players they moved to prepainted models. And it instead killed off the game.
  10. Welp that’s another army to add to my to-do list.
  11. Doesn’t really bother me. It’s no different than the 40K versions they made of Grombindal.
  12. When I had a store in the UK, about 7 years ago, trade discount was 40% off RRP for most items, 20% for Direct Order only items.
  13. It’s also technically impossible, because Twitter no longer exists. The twit in charge changed it to X. Not that I’d venture back onto that hellsite for any reason.
  14. They were not made by trainees. Most of the metal range were the Perry twins and Brian Nelson. The difference is they were sculpted through the traditional method - green stuff by hand - so less precise and crisp than the current method using computers.
  15. But they do. Brodd is out for revenge because of Sigmar slaying Behemat, as are a lot of gargants. Gloomspite Gitz are being spurred into action by Rabblerousers because Dawnbringers have the nerve to try colonising underground cave systems. Destruction factions have more motivation than just “let’s break stuff for the sake of it”.
  16. The future of the remaining Duardin and aelves probably depends on what they do with the races as a whole, and how the Old World does. Since the last cities book, we saw Lumineth arrive which have the High Elf influence so it makes sense that the few remaining High Elf models that remained in the Cities would go. And the Old World is bringing WHFB kits back, so GW still gets to sell the Phoenix Guard etc as part of that range. So if we see Malerions shadow aelves in the future, then I can see the Dark Elf kits disappearing from the cities. Same if there is a third Duardin faction with a more traditional dwarfen style. And if Old World sells and expands it’s narrative further, those kits will be wanted for that range.
  17. Convert the new one to be balancing on one leg to fit it on the 40mm base?
  18. His heralds played a large role in the first Dawnbringer book, and hes heavily hinted at - about as much as Trugg was in the first book. If Flesheaters are getting an expansion of their range, it would be more surprising not to see him than it would for him to be the centrepiece. And Death could certainly benefit from a personality that was definitely not pro-Nagash.
  19. I wouldn’t mind a new Zombie Dragon Kit. The current one looks good still but it’s a pain in the bottom to assemble compared to newer kits.
  20. I’d be surprised, Dreadfleet wasn’t a great seller.
