  1. Alright, I concede my previous position and suggest the opposite then. But I'm pretty sure it's not Idoneth either. She has hair, and if I'm not mistaken all Idoneth are either bald and/or wear helmets/head pieces. Will gladly buy her if she's anything for Daughters of Khaine.
  2. I would love for Daughters to get a second warband, considering that Nighthaunt have three, Ironjawz have two and so on... But that model is 100% a Dark Eldar Wytch.
  3. A death faction of cave-dwellers who aren't dead themselves, worship death/Nagash and who consume the dead, you say? You just basically described Flesheater Courts, I think. I personally wouldn't hold my breath for Silent People. They had the perfect opportunity to introduce them as a band for Underworlds in Beastgrave or Direchasm to test the waters. They didn't. Maybe Kragnos could try to awaken/open Beastgrave in the AOS main narrative and they would come scuttling out, but I doubt that since it would turn the focus from Destruction to Death again. And when the last three minis proved one thing, it's that this is the era of the ... Nevermind. Btw: Happy new year, TGA!
  4. Well, if a manifestation of Khaine were to appear in the Mortal Realms it would need to have female features now, wouldn't it?
  5. #IKnowAGuy #MyRelativeWorksForGW Pot Knights of Halftonnia!!!!!!!!!!!! 😍
  6. My friend, I sport a Lumineth profile pic, praise the Archmage and promote Aelves whenever I can ... on the TGA forums. If you want to be my enemy just pick a number and que in. 😎
  7. Oh, sorry, I'm afraid you've got that wrong. The Empire looks amazing. And you'd probably want to counter that by saying something about tastes and opinions. But no. Knights, griffons, steam tanks, mustaches.. It's ... basically science.
  8. Tread carefully, friend. My post from 8 hours ago got censored and cut in half for just referring to the topic without even giving an opinion. You should expect yours to get deleted entirely.
  9. Looks like @Whitefang 's back, but this time in full on hope-crushing mode. Guess we should close down the rumour thread for the foreseeable future, clean those paint brushes and work on that pile of shame. It's probably time to master our emotions and come clean from hopium.
  10. So what do rumours say about that female Idoneth hero with the two falchions and shield? Was it just a mistake from the new Gotrek novel? Surely they won't release another foot hero for Idoneth?
  11. It's weird that most people are now certain that Deepkin, Fyreslayers and Ossiarch Bonereapers are the next tomes. Weren't Nighthaunt being discussed as one of the most probable tomes after Maggotkin? Or is the revamped Nagash just everything they needed?
  12. Nah, please don't be bitter. It's fine and I'm actually looking forward to seeing him and his army realized in AOS! And I am very sure they'll look great and sell even better. I just don't like his emoboy edgelord super king personality. But he will be a great addition to the narrative and the meta.
  13. God, I hate Malerion... Got thrust into the Mortal Realms, granted Godhood just because. Morathi is a manipulator, but she had to work for everything she has in the Mortal Realms and fought the followers of Chaos and of Nagash, and also Kragnos. While Malerion did nothing after helping to chain Slaanesh. And he - I will never tire to criticize that - sl@tshamed his mother in that short story.
  14. My friend, joyful approval by the sages of light is not a gift that is given lightly nor freely. It must be earned. And alas, as our distant cousins from beneath the waves have so often disappointed us with their lack of hair or armor to cover their arms ... regretfully they did so again. Eels we've already seen aplenty of. Why would those make us proud? But we can and do see the potential slumbering in their poor soulless bossoms. If they would just expand upon their connection to the other denizens of the sea some more... That would not fail to make us smile and look upon them more fondly. But again the Deep (Workshop) on whom they depend has failed them. I still have hope however, even if you might have fallen to despair by witnessing my stoic dismissal, fair lady of the bearded ones.
  15. Thank you, those are some interesting numbers. For Order you left out Lumineth Realm-Lords. They clock in at 14.700, so beat out Fyreslayers and Daughters of Khaine but fall short of Idoneth Deepkin and the others. Still very impressive for such a young army range. I fully expect them to grow past most other Order armies as well. Daughters of Khaine is still really weird to me. I get that painting the Witch Aelves can be intimidating, but I always thought that the Snake Ladies and especially Morathi were universally well- liked models.
  16. It all sounded quite reasonable... and then he mentioned Silent People. Obvious hoax. Chaos Dwarfs are way more likely.
  17. Well, that was disappointing. Just two foot heroes, while 40k got two foot heroes plus three new units, if I'm not mistaken. No mount, no rune anvil, no crabs. Just two fairly underwhelming hero models that no one really asked for. If Slayers get a new tome they will not get souped until maybe next edition, which, by this point, is their only meaningful chance of being expanded upon. And Idoneth's chances look even slimmer.
  18. Interesting! Whish someone would jump the gun with a future AOS model for once..
  19. Sure, that'd be one way to go about it. But then it wouldn't quite be 'Fyreslayers' anymore but rather a dwarf soup army, more akin to the Dwarfs of ye olden days. My uncertainty of what to do with them was connected to the prerequisite of keeping their dominant theme.
  20. God, they have to be trolling us by this point...
  21. At least DOK have the Scathborn aspect going for them. The Snake Ladies are uniquely AOS and theoretically allow for more of Morathi's creations to spread the army out a little more. Right now there are three distinct themes in DOK: Witch Aelf and Sisters of Slaughter, Scathborn (Medusas, Melusai and Kinerai) and the more shadowy Assassin types like Shadowstalkers and I guess Doomfire Warlocks. While the latter could be fleshed out a little more, e.g. with an assassin type hero (would love for Gotrek's partner, Malaneth Witchblade here) I think they are doing okay in terms of variery. But there's still potential. I don't know what Fyreslayers could add. Fiery elementals bound by rune magic maybe? The design space does seem limited on a surface level, compared to Lumineth where it's Hyshian crystal clear what the next expansions could and will bring. Granted, I do know next to nothing about Fyreslayers.
  22. They come out pretty expensive if you want to go the Witch Aelf route. But if you build an army around Melusai and Morathi you can get there quite cheap, via the excellent Start Collecting box and the DOK half of the Shadow & Pain box which is still fairly easy to get your hands on. And according to the meta representation chart that was posted above they are, at least by now, a little more common than Disciples of Tzeentch or Slaves to Darkness.
  23. Maybe they should have left out the battleline Boltboyz for Big Yellers and gone with the Lumineth route for Kruleboyz: every unit of Gutrippaz allows you to take a unit of either Boltboyz or Hobgrotz as battleline.
  24. Is Drycha a viable piece to build an army around? She's my favorite model from the Sylvaneth range and one of the reasons I find myself tempted again..
  25. I recall opening up a thread in the DOK subforum back in May, asking about the popularity of the faction. Daughters of Khaine always show up fairly high in the meta representation rankings but there's not that much talk in their subforum which always struck me as odd. People suggested it might be due to the supposed cheesecakeyness of the faction ( a whole different debate) or the difficulty of painting them to a higher standard. So more experienced players might try their hands on them and bring them to tournaments, knowing they are in a good place rules-wise, while beginners in the hobby might be advised to shy away from them. Other armies might be associated with similar effects.
