  2. Hi, If i have a unit with an ability that has the description (se below) and i dont go first turn vise. The unit in question gets attacked do i get the +1 save roll or not? Since i have not had my turn yet to declare they are doing a Shield Fortress but they have not run or charged either. Description: A unit carrying shields can creat a Shield Fortress instead of running or charging in its turn. If it does so add 1 to save rolls for the unit untill its next movement phase.

Dont know if these mechanics are in play or not but to change that who strikes first and burst the enemy type of gameplay more effects and abilites that can only trigger (be used) efter surtain rounds or modells lost or enemys slain. And only after that bring out the power to dominate or turn the tide, difference is that of wiping say 50% of enemy forces later ingame will make it feel less op since there has already been casulties. Instead of having all spells alla abilites and battalion bonuses in the begining. Like shifting gears to get pumped up.

  5. That is sad, i mean i just looked trough the warscrolls on the app it that says nothing about what is inplay and not. But that gets me back to the original point being how do they balance and value? The smart choice to me would be when new additions come thay are balanced to what is already in play and not the other way around, becouse who wants to change 10 units or 1000 units? Could gw atleast did not give them some affektion before closing. Maybe no point in arguing since unit was legacy. In the web shop the liche could be sold without horse, meaning that it was a choice back there. But now expected in point value. Then i agree that their magic is even but no way do i see their abilites as being the same value. One has a ontime use and the other has two "spamable".

Skink has one more abilite and they can be used every round. Also has missle attacks., has better save, better move. How do GW value points?
  7. Newbie here, with limited knowledge. Did not take me long to get that money greed feeling from GW, so i can understand that the new armies are a bit op. But thats just like any other competetiv pc game. But it is sad, shows lack of imaginated, Instead creat a uniqe army that grabs the attention of the playerbase that has been missing it. Can also the way people think the game is unbalanced, when some trigger effects does not grant that 10% increased effect. Instead that 200% increased effect. For exampel seen some warscrolls for cavalry where a succesful charge grants dubble the attacks. If the unit is balanced to charge and fails its value is halved. So 2000 points charge army could have the value of 1000 points. Of course dont take that literally only figuratively. Some units should ofcourse have that high reward high risk but to common and often not an option. Also when comparing warscroll to warscroll its a joke. I belive that each unit should be balanced equal to its cost when comparing to others. Ofcourse some could counter others but that aside. If an army has some special bonus it should just be balanced to other armies and their specials.
  8. New question, seen some warscrolls of a singel model say that it can have a horse(mount) for increased effect. Like +move and additional attacks. But i saw no extra points for it, so why have a choice if its only positiv? Like no drawbacks. Same with musican and standard bearer, since acording to the rules model holding it counts as also having regular weapons.
  9. 1. Ok, so even if it fails i dont move the dice number forward? 1.5. For a charge to be succcesfull i have to finish within halv an inch, but can i choose to stay 2 away if i have melee range 2? 2. Roger roger 3. Can i shoot misile weapons through another friendly or enemy unit to hit a unit behind? 4. Not even possible to remove slayed models so i dont fight two enemy units engaged with me and only one? 5. But as the owner of the unit i can just choose the models at the end right? Or is there a way for an enemy to force split it? 6. During a players turn in combat phase enemy units engaged in battle are given the chance to retalite, is it the same for shooting phase etc? 7. So we can discusse the same unit if possible can you look at the dwarven cannon? They dont share the same wounds or save etc but are part of same unit. Says no where on warscrolls who dies first. 8. Follow above exampel, If crew dies first cannon has no melee attacks, but since the model is "alive" am i still stuck in combat with it? Forcing me to attack uselss model/unit leaving me venerable for achers. 9.Roger roger 10. Roger roger, think i found video showing how its done. 11. Roger 1/2, can i pile away from enemy unit?
  10. Hello, Did my first friendly battle and alot of questions came forth. Se list below. 1. What happens if a charge roll fails? 2. What is the retreat distance? 3. Possible to leav gaps inbetween models (frontline) for another missle unit behind to shoot trough (since it says can only shoot what they see, and specefik says thay can se through friendly models of same unit)? 4. Possible to remove slain models so that i leav melee combat (3inches away)? 5. Can a unit of many models split like a long snake, line or circle as long as they are within "1" of another? 6. Understand that in combat phase every1 that has an engaged unit can fight (even the one whos turn it is not) is it the same with ranged, spells and comand points? 7. When target a machin that is operated by crew, can tha attcker choose wich one to attack (crew or cannon for exampel)? 8. If a machine has lost all of its crew by an attacking melee unit rendering the machine useless (cannon cant shoot for exampel) is one still locked in combat with it and has to either retret from it or destroy it wholy? 9. Who rolls the damage dice (attacker or attacked)? 10. Is it the attacks or the damage that determine the number of wounds afflicting the enemey unit? For exampel a hero that only has one attack but deals 3 damage, he attacks a unit of 10 models. The attack succeeds and one attack inflicts 3 wounds but since its only one attack does that mean one modell takes 3 damage or the unit takes 3 wounds? 11. Is it possible to Pile In to pull more enemy units into combat or from them? For exampel Pile in to force enemy unit close by so that it can not charge or chase another target, even though this side unit was the the intended charged unit? Also the same but away from enemy units to not have them deal any damage in combat phase. Thanks in advance Gurgamel
  11. That is very good to know. Got the app, and did sub wich answerd all my original questions! (y) Warriors cost 90p/10m, Quarrellers 120p/10m and Gunmaster 80p. Also in the app the Longbeards cost 100p/10m and in the city of sigmar pdf they cost 110p/10m. What will always be the most up to date?
  12. @EMMachine, Ok so then i guess its buy material we need, found a digital copy in the app, also found the gunmaster there. Thanks (y) @TheCovenLord, ok so i dont just take the minimum and divied it per model? So a 10 minimum unit stack cant be 11 or 16? @zilberfrid, Good hassel to find the dwarfs. Split all over the place, disspossed and free city... I like the combat rules, simpel enough but damn all around is like mash potatoes with raisin.
  13. Looked trough them but could not find the specifik units. Thanks, good option. The guard and warriors seems like a good match when i watch their scroll but feels like quarrelers are a bit stronger then crossbowmen. But I could be completle wrong about that. Also could not find the warscroll for Empire master enginer/gunmaster, only one on mechanical steed, same but witouth mount?
  14. Hello, Me and my brothers bought some old units a couple years back and finaly about to bring them to battle. But, as brothers winning and loosing is everything so we need balance acording to rules. I cant find anywhere the points/per modell for the dwarf warriors and quarellers also the Empire master enginer/gunmaster? Sry for being newb, thanks on beforehand.
