  1. No new dragons for me then. I'd never really expected to be able to afford the big guys. But £68 for one Stormdrake Guard isn't justifyable to my budget. 😞 Which is a real shame because they look awesome.
  2. Oh wow, not surprised but that's more than I'd hoped. £50 of my limited hobby cash will get me more hours of gluing and painting hobby time via a start collecting Stormcast box instead.
  3. I seem to remember the big dragons are going to cost lots but have we had price leaks for the smaller 2?
  4. Dragons! https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/11/21/dragons-outcasts-petite-knights-and-a-cave-troll-in-this-massive-sunday-preview/
  5. The consensus seems to be that if something is only in the app and not in books or FAQs then it doesn't count and is probably a mistake/unintended.
  6. Yes, Destruction first. But also maybe Order - highly structured social insect swarms/hives/colonies but completely indifferent or hostile to traditional Order folk. Most anything can be wrangled into Chaos. But Death? Unless they are somehow undead? But then where are all the living insectoid people before they became undead?
  7. I'm no lore expert (far from it) but I am really struggling to see insectoid Silent People in Death. Probably the last grand alliance I can mentally put them in actually. Hoping the more Dwarves and them staying in Cities part of the rumour is right though.
  8. That's a fine looking character there. And using parts from at least 7 different models in one single figure, that's impressive!
  9. I'm only interested in Elves if it's Wanderer Elves, or maybe Phoenix Guard and a phoenix.
  10. None of these would tempt me away from my current spending plans.
  11. Any idea what time the battleforce boxes will be announced today?
  12. I was never a fan based on the images on the webstore. But the picture at the top of this thread looks gorgeous.
  13. If by "rumours" you mean "totally unrealistic dreaming that definitely won't happen" then I'm looking forward to the Living Cities battleforce box that includes a Steamtank, Wild Riders, a Treelord, some Kurnoth Hunters and all the other things I'm saving up for!
  14. Yes, looking at the picture you shared leaves no doubt, definitely Necron and not Lizard People, which is a shame.
  15. The top bit in particular makes me think of Seraphon.
  16. It's honestly probably where I come down, too. I don't like the models enough to paint a significant number of them up Just had a thought that doing a unit of 20 using 10 proper Flagelants and 10 Chaos Marauders (with appriately selected parts) could do the trick.
  17. Also, when the new app was first out their Save was accidentally listed as 0 which was hilarious 😂
  18. They'd sort of be better with worse bravery as they dish out mortal wounds as they run away. They seem best when they are being killed or fleeing, so 20 would be better than 10 as you'd want some left to make use of the being slain and fleeing buffs. (Not sure the thought of painting up 20 of them fills me with joy though, pretty fiddley looking)
  19. Thanks, it's that specific then. I thought it might be a more general set of criteria that when examined only Flagelants met. I've never actually played any Flagelants, they might be useful as exploding quicksand but not sure what else...
  20. For me, well basically my whole nearly 2000 points worth of Living Cities is an inconsistent mess based on buying models I want to make and paint. Worst offenders currently are probably Drakespawn Knights (I'm sure there are better cavalry options but none look as good) and Skaeth's Wild Hunt (why should only BoC get centaurs?) And of course the Ironweld Arsenal guns and fireworks.
  21. All this talk of Ironweld artillery sets me to wondering - what's the worst (rules/play wise) unit or model you have bought, built and painted and included in your army just because you think it's cool?
  22. I guess it doesn't help that the Cogsmith had that big steampunk cog thing sticking up above him and doubleing his height and visibility. I'll have a try later to see if he's hide able behind my volley gun.
  23. You've said it now, so now you have to (and post photos) Isn't a volley gun big and bulky enough for a cogsmith to hide behind and block line of sight for snipers?
  24. They look supercool though, which is why I have them! 😂 Cogsmiths within 3 inches allow rerolls on the attacks number rolls, which is good as otherwise you'd have a 50% chance of a misfire with 3decks. You'll never fire off 18 with your 3d6 though because they'll always be a double there. It's a shame but in the Mortal Realms it seems magic is so powerful that technology can't compete.
