I think the main point is there will be no battalions for matched play that FEC use now instead theyare supposed to be replaced by general battalions

Very very hard to say, apparently battalions are getting a huge makeover so who knows. I would begin painting non modal units. AoS 3 will be here within 2-3 months

I see a lot of people have this misconception. The raw value on the warscroll wouldnt be capped at 1. It means that rend -2 would be capped at -1 if affected by any number of negative modifiers or at -3 if affected by positive ones. not sure what they do with artifacts because in thr 40K you replace an existing data sheet profile with them.

you can stack things as much as you want but modifiers are capped at +1 and -1. It doesnt prevent you from using several rules on one guy.

it fixes that they cannot balance battalions. SCE have 20 of them and all are meh.

I am fine with the double turn as long as they officially support a casual format without it

?????? their warscroll stats are premium, what are you talking about? It's different when they are rekt because somebody else has 10 overlaying faction rules.

we will see. If the questin knights rumours are true for the new SCE I could see them getting the hero keyword from some kind of ability haha. (you know the whole realm of Chamon is basically cut off from Azyr and other realms so some kind of questing/heroic SCE would make sense rn) and using him as a proxy is a great idea!

I am partly in denial and Partly a realist. I hope the 4+ save accounts for something from our new battletome. The same goes for the generis weapon profiles. When it comes to rules I hate wholly within at least if it was "UNITS wholly withing"instead of "UNIT" it would be acceptable. the wholly within makes me anxious because of the bin writer. Anyway rerolling charges and adding +1 to attacks is a really good ability imo. Obviously made for deep striking (doubles the success chance on 9 inch charge without any additional rules) and given that SCE have always used to layer their rules on each other it could become a really nice bomb in the next edition soon.

You joke but this is why they needed (most likely) to errata the non named lumineth HQ into a UNIQUE version so you just cannot instantly pre game cap all/most of the objectives haha.
