  1. Fresh outta the oven! https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/06/16/lumineth-realm-lords-how-do-they-play/
  2. Finally, some progress on my 'droth! Zero progress on learning how to take pics of my minis though 😅
  3. Indeed! Not that we can travel a lot or make big plans for this year. You make a very good point to which I fully agree. Additionally, we know for a fact that it's not that they ran out of art/lore/rules or whatever from where to write an article to keep things going for us... In any case, this silence is definitely not helping with keeping the interest alive. And thanks!
  4. Well, WD 454 may be a way of reintroducing the faction at this point, teasing some of the rules and maybe helping people reconnect with the hype and the faction. Looking on the positive side of things, depending on when they open the pre-orders, I think I'll finish my PhD just in time for the actual release of the full range. If I was already thinking about treating myself to a sabbatical summer...
  5. I have to agree with all of the latest comments. This is starting to feel... I don't know, weird. It's one of the most hyped and expected releases for AoS in the recent past (93 pages without much information about the range speaks volumes) and it's not just that they're delaying it so much, it's the fact that there's been almost complete silence in the other end of the line. Pandemic and all, even if there are no more minis for the release, there's always rules you can preview, articles you can make about lore, color schemes, mor base details, the design of the boxed set or whatever. I've had to disconnect for almost two weeks for work reasons and the status is the exact same - no preorders, no leaks, no previews, nada. Even when WD454 comes by the end of the month. It feels like they keep forgetting on purpose, and that they'll have to rush everything when it finally comes (and I'll still love 'em by then). It's not in line with the general behavior of GW as of late - they even announced price hikes openly and transparently. But on Lumineth, no word at all. Weird.
  6. Soooo it seems that I bit more than I could chew for this past month. I managed to get the 10 Vulkites done, but life got in the middle and could not finish my 'droth. I'll pledge that for this month, we'll see if it can be done!
  7. In the article they also say something along the lines of the mind being swimming... I know the text usually doesn't relate to whatever the thing in the pic is, but it's always free to dream.
  8. My painting level is nowhere near that of others that we've seen over here, but I'm nonetheless happy to announce progress on my Fyreslayers! I managed to complete the 10 vulkite berzerkers that I pledged at the beginning of the month, albeit only up to a battle-ready level and admittedly cutting some corners with contrast paints. I also readied the base for the Magmadroth. Next up, completing the Magmadroth and its rider... Also, I'll someday learn how to take pictures of my stuff. But today is not that day...
  9. Oh no, I'm aware, I was only being a tin-foil conspirator as a joke. I'd also love to get a full view on that, but I think it's unlikely. There's probably a lot of copyright rules preventing it
  10. There are so many people leaking stuff in Reddit & dakkadakka that it almost seems suspiciously orchestrated... I've never played Warcry & don't know even its most basic rules, so I cannot really make sense of the data whatsoever. But judging from the pictures, I still think that the seneschal and the steedmaster are the 'captains' of the dawnriders and stoneguard.
  11. I have no clue. It's tricky, for sure, and I think there's more to the warscroll that we've not seen yet. I am imagining it as @Acid_Nine describes, a once-per-round trick, where for instance Teclis autocasts his 4 spells, the stones charge to +5, and then a Stonemage discharges the +5 for some nuke spell and the stones go to +1 full stop, and you can't discharge the stones again the same round. I guess that using them more times per round, even if at +1, it may be a bit too much. But so far, there's nothing in the ruling that stops that from happening. In addition, I think that additional spells after the initial +5 discharge from the Stonemage would charge the stones again. There's nothing stopping that from complying with the first part of the ruling...
  12. I don't know if this was discussed already in the thread, but I was re-reading the article from yesterday (I love magic tricks) and have seen that they modified the image associated to the Hyshian Twinstones (yesterday, the text didn't clarify how the stored power was used): I can imagine playing Lumineth vs Lumineth and trying to steal the other guy's stored mojo with my own wizard...
  13. Indeed! Several people seem to have received the WD so far, from what can be read over there.
  14. Wow, the endless spells look very cool! Someone on dakkadakka just said that he received the WD issue way ahead of time, and that there are 11 options for Warcry: Scinari Cathallar, Alarith Stonemage, Steedmaster, High Sentinel, High Warden, Truestone Seneschal, Vanari Dawnrider, Vanari Auralan Sentinel, Vanari Auralan Warden, Alarith stoneguard with diamond pickhammer, Alarith Stoneguard with stone mallet. I imagine that the Steedmaster may be the name for the leader of the dawnriders and the Truestone Seneschal may be the name for the leader of the stoneguard. Regarding the very blurry pic of the battle report, I already had my fair share of doubt when uploading it. Now that we have seen part of the content of the battle report, even more so. Maybe we've seen the full range by now, who knows. I'm still trying to process everything we've seen in these past few hours. We've gone from no news to an avalanche (pun intended) of rules, abilities, models, and points...
  15. Wait, the Stonemage is the general? That's something that I was not expecting.
  16. We already have one of those, the one that moooves 😁 Jokes aside, I'd love to see some aetherquartz stuff adorning battlefields around. I also think they'll use the temples as a means of providing artifacts and abilities rather than terrain. We can always try to convert the new Seraphon pyramid into something more Lumineth-y though. I'm so thrilled for the endless spells! Will we see them today?
  17. Whoa! What a beast! I liked the sculpt but now with these rules, he seems an auto-include! It also says in the article that he leads the Lumineth with 'powerful telepathic commands'. Command ability shenanigans? Gonna love how this works out with the allegiance thing where we pick two units to fight for each one that the enemy does...
  18. Thanks! I'll do when (and if) the time comes
  19. It is! Successfully grabbed my 'pack' (book+screen+map) here, and also got the PDF! One little question about shipping. I may be in the process of moving. If my address changes before shipping, how should I let you know? Thanks again for all your awesome work.
  20. I also second this idea, I'd love to talk RPGs with the lovely fellas at the forum.
  21. I really like the confirmation of this piece of information. IMO, it's what leaves most space for story growth in Hysh
  22. You guys are right, I didn't see the shape (or the pennant) before, just the base and a brown-ish blur. Hype revival incoming!
  23. I know that with this much zoom and pixelation, the eyes should not be trusted. To the left I can identify the lancers, archers and dawnriders. In the background, maybe a spirit of the mountain. But just what is that thing in the front of the battle report picture? There are two bases, the mini in the front does look like Eltharion due to the base and the helmet, but I cannot relate the thing in brown that's behind him with anything we've seen so far. Any help from someone with keener eyes than myself? Any wild guesses?
  24. As @Overread mentioned, Pestilens is a very good one. It caught me from beginning to end. I also greatly enjoyed The Court of the Blind King. While it follows an Idoneth character, it explores several scenarios in the realms and the overall tone and ambience is very distinct from that of other novellas and books.
  25. I've always loved spellsword / magus type of characters, so I hope it goes that way. However, this Eltharion could also be just a huge melee beast, having two swords and all that. So good that they're giving us something to look forward to!
