  1. That's really cool! I don't have have BR: Teclis but this is very interesting it almost makes me want to buy the book to read about it.
  2. The -1 Bravery Banner would be more useful if the army then could do something like I mentioned. Where maybe if a certain unit exceeds the targets bravery in some way they get a bonus to something (to hit, damage, etc). That could be a units warscroll, maybe a spell buff, endless spell, etc. There are ways to make the bravery thing work, BUT I think GW will take the easy way out and just try to make it linked to battle shocking the enemy.
  3. Agreed, problem being is that too many things have immunity to battleshock and then on top of that a CP to just ignore that phase. So perhaps the fear mechanic is tied to bravery but it does mortal wounds or additional damage (or some other bonus), that way it is not just outright ignored by so many things various other armies have access to.
  4. Maybe I missed something but do we know for certain he's working for Neferata? Or are we just trying to read between the lines?
  5. I think Mortal Wounds in general are good for the game. However, I think how easy it is to deal mortal wounds in the current state is not healthy for the game (looking at you specifically LRL that basically has the opportunity to deal Mortal Wounds with half their army). Their should be a pretty high value on the ability to deal mortal wounds IMO and reserved for Heroes, certain spells & prayers and super elite units.
  6. Fact. However, I would wager there is a very good chance Gravelords comes out before 3.0 OR at the very least it was written prior to 3.0 release. We know COVID messed up releases and pushed things back, so I would wager without COVID, Gravelords would have been released by now but 3.0 would not have. So I think we are going to be on the short end of the stick, so to speak. However my hope is that going from 2.0 to 3.0 won't be a HUGE change, just minor tweaks and thus making our Battletome not a repeat problem of LoN coming out right around 2.0.
  7. I've mentioned it before but I expect sometime early May. My reasoning: -A lot of the stuff we have been anticipating for AoS has been released -Cursed City is up for preorder -LRL 2nd wave is out -BR: Teclis is out -Also there seems to be a Vampire theme in April (which I agree could mean nothing for Gravelords) -Cursed City -The Crimson Court warband is up for preorder this coming weekend. -We have seen the Soulblight Gravelords battletome cover, and several new models/sculpts for that army. -The only thing we know that is coming for AoS besides Gravelords, is BR Be'lakor and BR Kragos. Also it seems like GW releases as a whole are speeding up.
  8. I genuinely hope (and believe) that Blood Knights should be somewhere between the eliteness of Varanguard and then more standard cavalry like Chaos Knights. So something like a 3+ save, and good attack profile. 3 or maybe 4 wounds per model. However, maybe not as many special abilities as Varanguard. However what I expect is that they will be more closely alignment to Chaos Knights, which is a shame. Not that Chaos Knights are bad or anything, but Vampires should be more elite than your standard Chaos Mortal warrior.
  9. I don't want Gravelords to be a dumpster fire and super underpowered but I also don't want them at LRL levels of cheese. I agree the way some of the warscrolls for the Cursed City models are written are worrisome, however I do not know if that is a good representation of what is actually to come in Gravelords book and proper warscrolls since most warscrolls for the models that come in from other games are usually not so great. But there is so much potential to make Gravelords so cool that my fear is that it is going to fail to deliver and it is just going to be an updated LoN book.
  10. Based on the warbands mechanic and how GW has incorporated aetherquartz and aethergold into units in AoS, I could see Gravelord Vampires getting something like blood tokens that could be consumed to do a number of things, like buffing attacks, getting re-rolls, healing, etc. Alternatively instead of starting with these tokens they could acquire them each time they destroy a unit. While I doubt FeC get incorporated into SGL, IF they did, could you imagine how powerful the Chalice of Ushoran would be if it brought back Skeletons and/or Zombies as well and could heal something like a VLoZD. That could be one answer for getting rid of gravesites but still keeping a regeneration mechanic. Whatever the case, GW has some real potential with Gravelords, I just hope they don't blow it!
  11. Yes and it makes me so happy to see a LRL fall under the trance of a Vampire in the artwork
  12. It will conclude with the Soulblight taking over in the power vacuum left by Nagash and Arkhan 😁
  13. Originally I figured a mid to late year release too. However, I also thought Cursed City would be out at the start of May, The Crimson Court end of this month and BR Teclis with LRL release mid April but GW has really cranked out the releases about a month earlier for everything than I thought. I really do expect Soulblight to go up for preorder before July and possibly by the end of May.
  14. My guess is first half of May. It seems GW's releases are speeding up. Cursed City is already out, BR: Teclis and the rest of the LRL line is already out. The "big" weekend previews have been Jan 23, Feb 20 & Mar 20. I am betting we see another "big" weekend preview April 17 (possibly 24), that's either going to be more Soulblight Gravelords info or more BR: Be'lakor info, or both.
  15. My hope is, yes there is still a bit to come and that GW just confirmed the existence of Gravelords by showing updated sculpts of existing models and then when it gets a lot closer to release they come out with the brand new stuff, be it a single model/unit or a handful of models/units. I wouldn't be completely shocked if we didn't get BOTH a terrain piece and endless spells, but it would surprise me if we got neither. Maybe there is a center piece model but maybe not. We already have the VLoZD, Coven Throne and Mannfred & Neferata as "center pieces." However, I would love a new model similar to Katakros or Glutos. My fear is, we might get the Cities of Sigmar or Warclans treatment, in that we are getting a new book with update warscrolls, abilities, etc. It wouldn't be the end of the world though because the new Blood Knight, Skeleton & Zombie sculpts are all amazing as is the Crimson Court which make for great Vampire Lords. In addition, if the warscrolls for the Vargheists and a few other LoN things are decent then we really don't NEED more models. However, I do genuinely hope we get some cool new things that we haven't seen before.
  16. That's awesome, I totally missed where they said they are revealing models from BR this month.
  17. woah! What's this? Cities of Sigmar? Expansion for Cursed City?
  18. This art looks amazing! I cannot wait to see what BR: Be'lakor is all about!!
  19. They all look great and I do like him, I wish it was in a more dynamic pose so I could maybe kitbash him with other weapons, only because that guy looks like a real brute of a Vampire. But I'm not going to complain too much they all look amazing!!
  20. Thanks @KingBrodd!! Cursed City prerder this week, Crimson Court next week, Soulblight Gravelords soon? The Age of Soulblight is upon us! So excited, I just might order a couple packs of the Crimson Court for various kit bashing and of course assembling / painting as is.
  21. 100% agree. I wouldn't take these warscrolls as a representation of Soulblight Gravelords, especially since the keywords are all the old LoN keywords (minus the keywords specifically for cursed city). Also the Skeletons and Zombies warscrolls are exactly the same as what we currently have including points.
  22. Warscrolls are up. Looks like all the Death stuff is based on current LoN book (keywords etc). Skeletons and Zombies are exactly the same. So it is very possible that this is just a filler until Soulblight Gravelords officially comes out. https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NZ/Warhammer-Quest-Cursed-City-EN-2021

  24. If true, this makes not getting Cursed City a much easier decision for me. Shame the Vyrkos Bloodborn and Vargskyr are lumped into that 680 pts.
  25. Totally agree. I knew they were more elite skeletons (technically constructs) and were known for being tacticians. But still in my mind I viewed them as basic Skeletons for whatever reason. The story really does paint a great picture about how OBR are not mindless skeletons. Not only can they talk, they are good at 4d chess, both literally and figuratively lol.
