  1. Ha ha ha that's pretty much what we've all been doing! This entire thread so far is 13 pages of shots on the dark!
  2. See, this one I think is even less a warhammer. Taking a chunk out of the middle of the hammer like that would rob it of it a lot of weight and damage potential. Also, on both of these pics, this shape of the objects that are the "heads" extends incredibly far to the side of the shaft. I do have to admit, these pics have me very curious as to what they actually are, and I'll happily eat crow if I am wrong. @TheadTheOgorSlayer that is an very valid point!
  3. Unless it's maybe an aetherquartz battery containing Light energy used to power spells!
  4. While that's been true for most other factions, everything they've said about the Lumineth points more toward evolution than different direction. They are Teclis' attempt to re-create what was, rather than going in the completely opposite direction. And even with everything else they've done, they've kept the relatively slender builds that the High Elves had of old. Axes would make more sense than hammers with a physique like that, as you can get descent damage from an axe still with momentum and finesse, where as hammers are about pure physical strength. Unless I am completely off base and we get a unit of hugely muscular aelves who go around hitting things with hammer!
  5. I honestly don't see it. Hammers just don't fit the graceful Aelven aesthetic. Both of the pictures look more like some kind of decoration or totem. GW has been doing a much more realistic scale with their sculpts recently. With that in mind, the "heads" of those hammers are too big for the shaft they are attatched to, and the shaft itself doesn't have anything to really support the "hammer" part itself. The joining point on both looks very ornate and flimsy. I suppose you could counter and say "magic hammers!", but that still doesn't seem right.
  6. Ha ha ha I think a lot of us feel the same! I'd like to take my White Lions to battle again myself. My Lion Chariot has been sitting sadly on my shelf for too long...
  7. @Beastmaster Don't be jealous just because our logs on sticks are prettier than yours! 😁
  8. @Tiberius501 Have some faith friend! And I posted this over in the rumor section, I'm not sold on those "hammers" being actual weapons. The staff they are both connected to seems too flimsey for a weapon, and both of the "hammer heads" look to be made of different materials. I think it has something to do with the various subfactions. @Mr2spyderguy Welcome aboard! It's a good time to be a Pointy Aelf!
  9. I'm not entirely sure it's a hammer. Both of the Rumour Engines we've got that have had this shape look a little too unwieldy to be weapons in my opinion. I wonder if they aren't some kind of aetherquartz banner depicticting the various subfactions that have been hinted at for the Lumineth, particularly since both of these objects seem to have been made out of different materials.
  10. Or Reavers if you take an Isharann General.
  11. Actually, it said "starting with their spearmen." So hopefully some other tidbits will be coming as well!
  12. If we do get a dragon, I'd like to see some sort of crystalline Light Dragon. Perhaps with facets instead of scales. And of course, as maybe dual kit with a generic lord and Tyrion as riders....
  13. @JackStreicher Obviously those aren't Lumineth. They are most likely Wanderers, the only aelves slow enough to let themselves be caught like that!
  14. The do have some sort of collar on both the Wardens and the Dawnriders. I'm not sure if it's cloth or armor though.
  15. Sadly, it has only been one week. The first Lowdown article dropped on the 27th.
  16. Ha ha ha I wasn't wishlisting, just speculating, I promise! Honestly, my biggest wish has been answered with the arrival of the Lumineth.
  17. @Acid_Nine Oh, I totally agree. I want the Lumineth to be their own, new, unique evolution of the High Elves of old. I'm just not entirely sure I trust GW to come through with that. They've already started to develope parallels between the two factions. Even towards the end of WHFB and the World-That-Was, they were starting to develope an Infinity Circuit analogue with the Waystones around Ulthuan.
  18. While stylized, I'm not sure that really proves "Angel Aelves." I think I would much prefer Tyrion being part of the Lumineth, and potentially training a super-elite unit of blademaster knights.
  19. Makes me wonder what they're going to end the year on. The front half is shaping up to be fairly fantastic!
  20. It actually makes me wonder if the Light of Eltharion might be the first of, or leader of, something similar to the Aeldari Wraithguard. Spirits of old warriors that are protectors of the Lumineth, but at the same time it's safeguarding their souls from both Slaanesh and Nagash. And potentially Sigmar too, as I doubt the Twins would want Sigmar poaching their people for the Stormcast.
  21. Hmmm, it would be interesting to see Solkan and his ilk return.
  22. I thought Malhandir died in End Times? I mean, he was an awesome horse, but he wasn't a Horse God. I'm not sure if he would have survived 10,000 years. And honestly, I want to see Tyrion on something new and fantastic. A dragon would be my first choice, but honestly I would be just as happy with some new AOS beasty if it was suitably epic enough.
  23. @Thebazilly Nice! I'm slowly churning my way through my Namarti Reavers at the moment, and somebody joined me the other day. Here are the results! I should add that she wanted to make it look like the picture of the model.
  24. Man, it would be awesome if Tyrion had some sort of awesome dragon mount. I'd love to see him done as a model that rivals Archaon's!
