  1. He might still be there. Until we have a battletome in hand that confirms we aren't getting Tyrion as a model, I can still believe that we're getting him. He's the Schrodinger's Cat of models. He exist and doesn't exist until we open the battletome!
  2. Tyrion doesn't really strike me as the cigarettes type. Teclis, however, is probably a chain smoker, especially when working on some magical project.
  3. @Bayul Have you ever tried non-Citadel primer? Especially their Corax White I've always had problems with no matter the humidity. I use Testors Spray Enamel and it works pretty well!
  4. I eventually want to do an army from each of the factions, and honestly I would love to get a plastic version of the Legion of Azgorh. As long as their tied to Forge World though they'll be beyond my price range.
  5. To be fair, I call that strategic thinking. I don't always fight gods, but when I do, I tire them out first and then stab them in the back!
  6. Lotann is the most criminal warscroll in AOS. His model is amazing, yet he is almost unplayable, even in a casual game.
  7. @OkayestDM Ha! I just asked pretty much the same thing in the Lumineth thread! With the added caveat of wondering Malarion's response to these events as well!
  8. They do seem to be setting the Lumineth and the Hedonites on a collision course. Now that Archaon knows roughly where Slaanesh is, I'm sure the Hedonites are going to be flinging themselves into Hysh and Ulgu non-stop. We know that Teclis has been preparing the Lumineth, I wonder what Malarion's response will be?
  9. That would mesh with the one Rumour Engine pic that seems to be a stone with Aelvish writing on it. Unless that belongs on some centerpiece model's base....perhaps a centerpiece model that is weilding Sunfang....😎
  10. It would tie into traditiinal High Elf defensive magics as well. Maybe something that increases casting costs for enemy wizards, or gives us bonuses to unbinding?
  11. @Tiger I didn't know whether to like your post or give it a sad face. I, too, am not a patient person! Two more days! @xking Thanks for the book list! I'm always up for more reading material, I'm basically a book junkie.
  12. @xking I just got started. I've read part of the Realm Wars, the Court of the Blind King, and I'm working on the Overlords of the Iron Dragon now.
  13. I think that's my problem. My current army is Idoneth, but they're such a weird grey faction that I had a hard time figuring out where to go with my own army's story. I settled on them basically being sould mercenaries, where they will fight your battles for you no matter who you are, as long as you let them reap the defeated army. It took me a little while to get there though, as opposed to how much easier it was for my Chracian army to develope. I have a feeling my Lumineth army is going to feel a little more natural as well.
  14. I will say I miss the chance to tell more grounded stories that the Old World afforded. AOS is awesome in a Greek gods kind of way, but where the setting is weakest right now is life fleshed out from the non-Godly perspective. My namesake character Koradrel had a complete backstory and saga of accomplishments, because the old setting gave you a deeper pool to swim in. I've struggled to do the same in AOS, though to be fair, it could be that up till now I haven't had a faction that I liked as much as I liked the High Elves.
  15. But at the same time, that was one of the things that killed WHFB. They had pretty much fleshed the setting out as much as they could from a wargames perspective. They wound up just re-releasing new sculpts for models nost of the time. The little bit of new stuff they did come out with felt very forced in the setting. It's the one big thing I like about AOS. They have really thrown the gates open to embrace any weird idea they want to come up with. That's also why I'm excited about the Lumineth. They look to be a fantastic blending of the new and the old.
  16. I think that's actually the point of where they are going with AOS from here in. We might get a couple more new armies, but I think the point was to leave room to flesh things out.
  17. Heh, I should be finishing at least 1k of my Idoneth, but every time I look at painting them I think, "Man, these could be Lumineth...." I'm also kind of curious where this army will slot into the meta. Traditional High Elf armies tended to be toward the top half of the power curve, it'll be interesting to see if this army continues that trend.
  18. Honestly, at this point I just want to see the models. GW doesn't have to tell us what they or what they do, but the endless speculating is driving me bonkers. Yes, I'm probably going to buy two of everything. But show us the models so we stop taking complex industrial machinery to deepen the rabbit hole!
  19. That particular pic of a face over Teclis' shoulder I think has been proven to be Celennar. There was another version of the same painting that showed the face in more detail and full color. I really want Tyrion as well, but I din't think this is proof that we're getting him.
  20. Eltharion was my first High Elf model, don't ruin my dreams!
  21. I wonder if they would have Eltharion as a character then, to then tie him into the Lumineth's release?
  22. @Tiberius501 An Adepticon reveal sounds about right, with them being available about a week or two after.
  23. I'm going to have to echo @Acid_Nine and say I'll wait until we get schemes for the subfactions. I may try to paint accent colors on each unit from all the subfactions while having a main unifying color.
