Hi Here’s my entry. Got this free with the WD years ago, went in the back of a drawer. I did consider turning it into a pit slave for Necromunda, but never got round to it. I’m glad I didn’t as he fits the bill perfectly for the theme of this comp. Ah yes, hadn’t noticed the fingers visible on the chalice.

Has it been shown somewhere that she’s holding the coal chalice? I thought the pictures being together was just to illustrate that the wind is blowing the same direction. Looking closer at the veiled lady it looks like she has something behind her (wall or structure of some kind?). I wonder if there will be a diorama style model? Or maybe it’s a war machine?

Could this be referring to the spirits of Hysh? It says “winged creatures”. Sounds just like Celannar (or his mates) to me. Thanks for the reference!

I’m not sure if you are involved in the editing but I find the CGI clips and voiceover between phases really irritating 😂 Quick Q, what ability allowed Volturnos to regain the spent command points? I’m fairly new to AoS, but couldn’t see anything on his Warscroll or in the tome? Is it some generic artefact/trait from the AoS 2 core book or something? (I haven’t picked that up yet).

I think their attack profile isn't too bad (base 2 attacks at 3+/3+ is the same as Morsarr) , it's the 1" range plus 32mm base size (meaning only 1 rank of attacks) and 5+ save that lets them down. Also, the situational benefit of sweeping blows isn't great.

I think they should at the very least match the stats of Namarti thralls 3+/3+/-1rend (plus Namarti have some tricks) Just wouldn't seem right to me if they were worse than the cast offs of aelf-kind. They're meant to be the pinnacle of Teclis' vision of what an elf should be.

Has anyone considered the possibility that Celennar, spirit of Hysh IS Tyrion? I know it’s a bit out there, but in the recent lore update, directly following the paragraph mentioning Teclis & Tyrion, there is the picture of Teclis & Celennar. Celennar could be a title for all we know? And the Sphinx thing is actually Tyrion? Would be very fitting to have the twin gods combined in the same model, rather than having 2 god level models in the same army. Probably unlikely, just thought I’d mention it. Anyone else notice this?

Another Q, Are we expecting/hoping for a new ID Battletome this year? I know deepkin was the last book before AoS 2 dropped. It seems that GW have been working through updating all armies for 2, just wondered. Also, on reading the fluff on the eidolon seems a shame that it can’t be summoned mid game. Could be added to Isharann rituals? Seems like a lot of lists don’t include him which is a shame as it’s such a good model.

Just getting into AoS and starting with idoneth deepkin. Just wondered if any have any experience playing a Mor’phann Namarti Corps list? Was thinking, min units of reavers, 2 big units of thralls, maybe 3 soulrenders? With Mor’phann’s enclave ability one of the soulrenders could return 6 slain models a turn, with the other 2 returning D3+3 models. Thinking of using a max unit of thralls as a screen which gets replenished by the soulrenders. With forgotten nightmares, thralls would have to be targeted if placed well. Then throw in some Allopexes or eels for counter attacking. Aspect of sea for magic support, like mystic shield on thralls. Will only be for casual gaming, just wondered if anyone’s tried something similar?

I think warp stone spark does not work with warp fire throwers and lightning cannons as they do not have a damage characteristic.
