  1. Hey, I’d need to check weight and package size, but I’d say something around £15-20 from Sweden.

  3. Might have missed something, but what’s this Broken Realms OBR specific faction your chatting about? Where is the source, and what is 100% known?
  4. My hunch, all nighthaunt, Nagash, Arkhan and morghasts gone. The only thing which I’m on the fence about is the mortis engine. OBR needs its own vibe, and Nagash isn’t going to be leading some raggedy ass Vamps, he wants to be with his boy Katacross. Manfred will stay, I hope... and if so, he seriously needs beefing up as everyone says. Nef, she will also stay and same again. Vhordrai remain, he’s aiiiit.
  5. Can’t imagine they will make blood knights weaker than they currently are. I suspect they will be much the same, poss a bit improved with more varied buff support.
  6. Vampire lords should have at least 7 wounds, for a start. They are un-fluffing dead and supposedly weirded inhuman strength and move eye watering speed. If they can turn into bats, wolves or rats and move double time that’d be sweet too. Currently they are slow, swingy and easy to take down with even the smallest amount of effort.
  7. New grave guard, quite possibly. New black knights, unlikely.
  8. Then my good sir, we should talk shop. I have a boat load I’m gonna be getting rid of at a relative steal.
  9. Nah, your wrong there. It was super outdated. And importantly, cursed city boxset needed new undead sculpts as did underworlds. The kits from both of these make the editing skeles stand out like a sore thumb.
  10. There is literally no reason to replace the current black knight models. They are excellent, well detailed and very in keeping with current death aesthetic. They are also a dual kit with a nighthaunt battle line unit, so they’d have to discontinue that model too, won’t happen.
  11. New skellies are amazing. Old skellies are still pretty decent, certainly compared to GW’s originaL iteration, BUT, the existing kit is over 10 years old and when you look at the level of detail and dynamism compared to the new death-rattle... well, it’s another planet. Also, the old kits were sculpted when ranking up models was a key consideration and for that job, they excelled. I cannot wait to finally ditch the 30 dire wolves I’ve hung onto like some awful red headed stepchild. They are F-ugly and I won’t miss them. Also the fell bats I’ve got 9 of, so gross. Might explain why they never seen paint. Also bye bye 140 odd zombies with fists the size of their heads, which I surprisingly I did paint all of. And farewell to 120 skeletons, 40 of which I painted really nicely. That said, I’m really unsure about wether to hang onto my 40 old school metal grave guard or not? The plastic ones can get knotted tho. If btw anyone’s looking to take these off my hands, lemme know and I’ll send some pics and prices.
  12. Finally. A common sense, informed, non inflammatory reaction. I’d say your likely to be 100% right on all of that.
  13. It’s a staggering release, my absolute favourite since AoS launched.
  14. Nah, they neither need it it should have it.
  15. Yeah, it’s ridic good. Lol. Ok... bad example!
  16. I think this is probably dead in the water, but I enjoy the challenge so entertain me if you will and lend me your ears and ideas. Now that you no longer have to feel like your always THAT guy for running petrifex and the design space has opened up in terms of other legions, I've been looking at and wondering about some of the lesser used command abilities and artefacts. I'm guessing most of these get missed on account of batallions not always being a go-to option for OBR cos of points and reasons. The legions are undeniably good with some of the associated command / artefacts (even for petrifex) being sick af, not to mention the sub-faction army wide traits. So, with that said. What are peoples builds, if any outside of the legions? Are there any artefacts / command abilities such as Feast Day for FEC which are strong enough so as to not make you feel like your are hamstringing yourself by taking them. Feast day, being one example which has over time become a stealth powerhouse build its own right, despite missing out on Blisterkin or Gristlegore nastiness. Another part of this interest is the fact I started collecting OBR at the start of the pandemic, but sadly for a whole host of reasons havent actually built any of it yet... you might call it shrink wrap shame, but I like to think of more as a post-lockdown reward. Anyway, TTS is scratching the itch for now and I was interested in seeing if there was any left of field builds which people have been toting? Mindblade for example, seems dope. But perhaps it's not one to build a force around. Anywhoo. Much love. A
  17. If your argument is, it’s 2 or bust.... I’d question what your endgame is. But yes, they are undeniably strong and bring something to the table that the army needs and which shifts the surrounding landscape to play our game. As would archers, crossbowmen or whatever else you want them to imagine. It would add a new level of dynamism to the army and open up different ways to play. My argument btw isn’t based on some salty opinions about fantasy and bringing it back. Say what you like. But this game is based on the same concept tho. Armies closing each other down over distance before fighting one another in melee. Anywhoo.
  18. AGREED. more infantry units are not needed for this army. What is needed: Giant combat bone constructs Flying mount Monstrous infantry sized hero
  19. Think my argument stands. The separation between 40k and AoS shouldn’t be one army has shooting and the other doesn’t. No, not all armies should have shooting. But should Ossiarch, quite possibly yes. Is the existing rule set for shooting in AoS fit for purpose? No. TLOS means almost nothing, terrain is largely redundant, you can freely shoot into combat without any penalty and look out sir rule isn’t nearly affective enough at keeping characters alive. Changes which would help. Shooting over or through your own unit is a flat -1 to hit. Characters cannot be targeted for shooting unless over 10 wounds. On foot and horseback characters with less than X wounds can be attached to units. They can still be picked out in combat or with shots but they would use the old fantasy look out sir rule. You cannot shoot into combat. Long range penalties, i.e. over half range of weapon is -1. There is a serious danger of this game become a total bore fest of massively over pointed hard to balance models supported by min max units. Bring back armies, and to me that might just include archery or something equiv.
  20. Models, theme and lore IMHO should lead the design choices. Not, rules. Not having archers because the rules for shooting are bad would be a bad case of the latter. It’s a fantasy game of warring armies, of course their should be archers and lots more of them.
