  5. For sure lots of questions. It seems to me like a defensive Deathstar. If I had Gotrek in my meta I would run 20 Arrowboys and hope to kill him in one shot. Even if he had look out Sir and All Out Defense you can buff yourself enough to make the shots count. Drakkfoot doesn't care about Gotrek's golden lion armor obviously.

  7. Come on... You want the Wurrgog to Breath the GG's before they get the Warchanter damage buff AND some Swampcalla Shaman poison MW on 6's before Brutish Cunning Mighty Destroyer move. We deserve some synergy.
  8. Its a good list. I think its the way a lot of people will play BW. You've got points to spare so you're good. We're waiting on the pts of the Turkey riding Shaman. Hopefully he fits nicely in to a BW and provides some kind of bonus Waaagh Points. If I can somehow fit 10 Brutes with Jagged Gore hackas AND the Turkey, I'll be super happy.
  9. You are so right. I really don't know why I typed that. I must have been thinking that we were talking about Ironsunz, who charge at the end of the enemy charge phase, and still get shot. Please keep Mighty Destroyers the way it is! Give Bonesplitterz a MD of their own! Move/Charge/Shoot! Make Orcs green again!
  10. I guess my point was that GW won't provide competitive rules to an older set of models. There is no way Bonesplitterz get a Hero phase shooting. I can't see them taking the old battalions and rolling them in to hero abilities or other army command traits. If they do then Fyreslayers will get a built in Lords of the Lodge with their army for free just because... Personally Brian Nelson > Peter Jackson I love my Bonesplitterz. The character of the multi-pose models are way ahead of their time. We don't need more models! We need warscrolls.
  11. I don't know. I read Unleash Hell as being used after a unit finishes a charge move. This means they can shoot you in their own Hero phase if you choose to Ironsunz charge. Unleash Hell: These warriors have prepared their missile weapons so they can unleash a devastating volley at the last possible moment. You can use this command ability after an enemy unit finishes a charge move. The unit that receives the command must be within 9" of that enemy unit and more than 3" from all other enemy units. The unit that receives the command can shoot in that phase, but when it does so, you must subtract 1 from hit rolls for its attacks and it can only target the unit that made the charge move.
  12. This is the truth right here folks! Ya, maybe Arrow Boys hit on 4's now, but its highly unlikely. These Bonesplitterz are old models, and will not get much love from the devs. Look at what they did to the old Ork models in 40k... bbbbyyeeee!!! Shooting in the hero phase? Uhhhh, hahahaha!!! Rolling 90 arrow dice at anything means whatever is going to use All of Defence. I'm hoping I can somehow mix in a 30 strong unit of Arrow Boys in to a Big Waaagh but its now likely to be only 60 shots, and certainly not efficient enough to be worth the points spend.

  14. I really don't mind the 4+. Just make the Get'Em Beat proc in the Hero phase. It won't be OP at all and will give us a better idea about where we can go and how we can work around the Unleash Hell/Redeploy.
  15. Sounds like my relationship with the Weirdnob and the Hand spell. I will never learn will I. I guess we can get 6 + D6 + maybe 5 extra Waaagh pts from having 50+ models. I can't seem to get to 60 models while including good spellcasting support. (RIP 300pt Savage Orruks) That will get Laugh at Em up T1 and make 20+ WP likely on T2. Are they going to remove Laugh at Em from the table and make Bonespliterz the only faction to get the 6++ via allegiance? Ugh... I hope they get rid of the D3/D6 Waaagh Magic dice roll and just make it a straight choice. Spending 6 WP on +2 only to get a miscast is still possible as it stands and while the devs probably think this is proper Orky hilarity, it pointlessly sucks the competitiveness out of the army.   16. Honestly. This hobby is not about making financial decisions. If you love Bonesplitterz then there is nothing wrong with getting 3 boxes of Savage Orruks and assembling them in to two 30 boy units each of Stikkas and Arrows. Its an amazing time because nowadays the models aren't as customizable as they used to be. You'll be able to get a lot of character out of those 60 models. Honestly, each one you assemble will be unique. If you really want you can assemble some Big Stabbas instead of some boys. Why wait?

  18. I want to go BW for the 6++ but losing Mighty Destroyers is too much at the moment. Hopefully the new book irons things out and gives a way to max out on Waaaagh points by T2. Ironsunz looked very interesting with a double MBMK but the wording on Unleash Hell means that they can shoot you even after you charge them in their charge phase. wtf!
  19. Thanks for this. Really! I started NH when I got the AoS 2.0 box. My son really wanted the ghosts, and I wound up buying four copies of Soul Wars... To be short, I played NH a few times in my local scene, and never had much luck. I would go 2-1 and wouldn't have any clue on how to beat that last list to go 3-0. In fact, there were a lot of lists that I just straight up couldn't beat. Grats to you for playing the 400 games. I threw in the towel long ago and switched to Ironjawz/Bonesplitterz. If you had gone 3-0 on day one. your day two would have been a world of hurt. That's for sure. You give me new hope. Especially since I bought the Broken Realms Olynder box, and a spare box of Harridans to add to my pile of shame. I was planning on going with Emerald Host since I have the Hexwraiths but now I might try your Condemned. Its a shame the models that I have that I can't see myself using. 30 Grimghasts, 20 Bladegheists, 20 Hexwraiths, Mournghul, Black Coach. 9 Spirit Hosts with a Spirit Torment General was always my go to. I guess now I need to buy a Cruciator to anchor them down. Also, I will be playing with Arkhan von Carstein, Mortarch of Proxy until the Orruk Warclans book comes out. My list will look something like this:
  20. I took the list above to a 3 game tourney today. I learned a lot, and mainly that the Ironclad/Amulet MBMK is super tanky and never died in any of the games. I should have pushed him forward sooner than turn 2/3 in my games. Another takeaway is that I really hate the new coherency rules. The unit of 6 GG's was so bad, I only ever got 4 in to combat on the charge and it felt like a big waste. The unit of 3 were great, but lacked that extra bit of damage that the 6 man unit used to do. 10 man units of Ardboys are basically half dead weight because of coherency as well. I will need to practice how to position better but with terrain and base sizes its not likely that I will make a big difference in the amount of models that get to attack. Hog of Gork is ok... again, if I get the tele off, then make the charge, coherency holds too much back from the output. I will have to learn. Game 1 vs Seraphon - The Veins of Ghur I felt pretty good going in to this matchup. I didn't realize that Fangs of Sotek Seraphon was still playing a different game with all those CP's they get in their turn. The player was able to use AAA, AAD, Parting Shot, Inspiring, you name it abilities all the time with their 7-8 CP's a turn, and I have max 2-3 CP as if I was lucky to get another on a 4+... What a game. I gave away first turn. He shot off a unit of 3 pigs. I scored Ferocious Advance then killed 10-12 skinks with the unit of Bonesplitterz. I then got the double, took the objective and scored Broken Ranks on the 10 man unit of skinks, and unluckily left the 30 skink unit on 1 skink left. The 1 skink later rallied his friends back and there was about 15ish after the Emerald Lifeswarm did its part. Dammit 1 model left!!! His turn 2 he cleaned up the unit of 6 pigs and did a lot of work to the Bonesplitterz. The game was close but I was loosing my army. I got turn 3 and the MBMK went in to the 30 skinks killing 24 of them. I scored Conquer and then only had my MBMK left after he got the double on turn. I couldn't contest everywhere and my T4 I got Monstrous Takeover but I was never going to catch up in points. There was too many smaller units running around spaced out. Great game, great fun. Damn Seraphon have CP's to spend... Game Two - Savage Gains - vs KO Shooting is still a thing. He gave me first turn. I pushed up and spread out to keep my characters out of gun range. I scored Ferocious Adv, Aggressive Exp and then Monstrous Takeoever before being shot off the board. The MBMK was the only thing left and he was constantly being made half move. He had his chance to shine but failed his Roar and the Ironclad only took 9 wounds with All Out Defence. What a game changer all these CP's are. +1 to save on everything that I ever get in to combat with! Game Three - Survival of the Fittest - Sylvaneth Man, Sylvaneth need a bit of help. The woods are great, and giving them the extra + to save is great but they should make a way to get Kurnoth as battleline. I scored Ferocious Advance, Aggressive Expansion, Broken Ranks +1, Conquer, then Monstrous Takeover The MBMK was the all-star once again and coherency was a big problem. I didn't feel efficient all day. I am probably not going to play again before the new book comes out but I am curious about how we will be with Magic. Having only 1 dispel was bad vs Seraphon and Sylvaneth but I guess that is just how it goes. Even the KO guy dispelled my Hand of Gork so I am not even sure if I will be including a Weirdnob in the future. I might as well get a Wurrggog in there for the 4+ CP and unbinds. The pigs will be max 3. I am not sure what to reinforce because the Ardboys will be 5 max as well. If I get my ten man Brutes with 2" reach going then those will be an auto include along with at least 1 MBMK. After that, 37 Boltboyz? Thanks for reading.

  22. I guess if you want to run a one drop Alpha list you need to include the Idol. Such a shame that I don't have one. Also waiting for a new book. Tapping shooting in the Hero phase is so strong, even if you can't use AAA.
  23. And here is a BW list: I am not sure why I am posting it because I am really not happy with it. Like all of us waiting for the new Battle Tome there are so many questions. BW seems weaker without Mighty Destroyers coming from somewhere and spending 390 points on 30 models just to try and get those Waaagh points up is a big ridiculous. I wonder how much of a threat a 30 block of Arrowboys would be. Though, I don't really care to be rolling that many dice outside TTS.
