  1. Anyone have thoughts on Meeting Engagements? Trying to figure out lists for BCR at 1000 that meet the requirements is proving difficult.
  2. There was also Phoenix Guard and Tomb Kings at this heat... very weird.
  3. In my lists I use units of 4 mournfang to entertain my opponent’s horde units so that my big bois don’t get stuck in a tarp it. Can Yhetees serve this function? If not then Mournfang and Yhetees aren’t comparable to me.
  4. @AverageBoss thanks! I checked Azyr and apparently they’re updated there. What about Kairic Acolytes? They have Arcanite Shield ability also but the wording is the old way in both Azyr and GW site.
  5. Do you know where I can find this? The warscrolls on the GW site aren’t clear enough and we’ve been ruling it the old way.
  6. For the Acolytes and Tzaangors Acanite Shield ability; If the roll fails, does the damage have to go on the model with the shield? The warscrolls says "before allocating a wound or mortal wound to a model that has an Arcanite Shield."
  7. I play against Nurgle and Nighthaunt mostly. I have played against Legion of Nagash once... I lost.
  8. @TopHatCat are you looking to play tournaments? If you’re playing just casually at your local flgs then you’ll be fine with BCR. They do struggle with objectives but if trying to overcome that weakness is appealing to you then you can have fun with BCR. Right now I have a 65% or so win-rate with my army. I’m not in the tourney scene at all though.
  9. @TopHatCat Orruk can't ally with BCR (except for the Braggoth battalion that has specific rules). Allies are: Aleguzzler Gargants, Firebellies, Gutbusters, Maneaters, and Troggoths. Also, I wouldn't advise on taking Beastriders unless you specifically are trying to meet a requirement for a battalion. Frostlords and Huskards are strictly better.
  10. Shouldn't I have at least some Tzaangors so I can use the Tzaangor Shaman's spell to add more models to the unit?
  11. Guy I bought the models from only had 3 Enlightened If I like the army I might invest in more Enlightened. I just was gifted 40+ Chaos Warriors and 5 Chaos Chosen. As well as a Curseling and a Fatemaster. Should I try to work any of these in? I might actually be able to reach close to 2000 now.
  12. My local group usually plays either 1250 or 2000. How does this look for a 1160/1250 list? Yes, I also have the required Blue & Brimstone Horrors for summoning.
  13. Playing my baby Tzeentch army soon, seems like a lot of the units benefit from being within or wholly within an amount of inches from one another. Is this how Tzeentch is played? Should I be positioning my army as one big blob of models? Note: My main army is Beastclaw Raiders. Plays way different.
  14. @Fundre I've been running Mournfang in units of 4 and finding successes with them. I mainly use to them to tie up large hordes.
  15. Dipping my toes into Tzeentch and got this army coming to me. I have what is in the list plus 20 Blue Horrors, 20 Brimstone Horrors, and 10 additional Acolytes. Any advice on spells, artifacts, traits to take? Or just Advice in general on what I have? I’m not looking to buy any more models unless I decide to switch to Tzeentch as my primary army.
  16. Thoughts on taking Thermalrider Cloak with a Frostlord on Stonehorn? Adds +4 to movement and fly. Possibility of 3" from Everwinter's Blessing + 16" of movement + 2d6 charge just sounds super scary, especially when flying makes obstacles a non-issue.
  17. What’s the general opinion of Huskard on Stonehorn? I recently used their “Line-breakers” ability to nice effect.
  18. I have a Stonehorn and a Thundertusk assembled with the saddle for either a Frostlord or Huskard. Basically everything is glued except riders, no magnets. I’ve got two unassembled SC boxes and I’m definitely going to magnetize the heads to swap out the type of mount, but should I glue one as single-rider and one as double? Magnets on the saddles too? I’m super lazy.
  19. Thanks @Baron Wastelands, that’s what I was looking for!
  20. I have 10 Frost Sabres (Fenrisian Wolves) and 2 SC boxes incoming. My main question is how to use the units. I guess it depends on the battle plan. The FLoSH is easy, he’s there to aloha strike heroes. Hunter is for sneaky objective grabbing or hero killing. I’m still not sure if the mournfang packs should be split up or all 8 ran together.
  21. I don’t know what you’re talking about. 🤫
  22. Running this soon and I still haven’t figured out how to combine units. So far I’ve been splitting up the Frostlord and Huskard and assigning each a few mournfang. I’m wondering now if I shouldn’t just have the two behemoths run together and then have all the mournfangs together after a different objectives. Troggoths are just filler. I’ve got more stuff coming in the mail.
  23. Beastclaw Raiders has no magic outside of allies and has difficulty competing on model count. I was thinking, maybe there’s something to be said for playing to BCR’s strengths? Forget magic altogether. Don’t try to load up on Mournfangs, Yhetees, or cats. Take your max allowed of behemoths and fill the rest with chaf. Play super fast and “win” the game in the first couple of rounds. Thoughts?
  24. @Fulkes how casual are you wanting to be? You can literally just buy SC boxes and be fine. Frostlord on Stonehorn, Huskard on Thundertusk, fill rest with Mournfang Packs and you’re ready to go. If you buy a 3rd SC box configure the behemoth however you want.
