  1. Cockatrices are going to be insane, rushing up breaking terrain or stopping a unit from using CP's when you charge alongside Bestigors, Bullgors, etc...
  2. But we can no longer get additional Summoning points for sacrifices.
  3. Going through this with 40k. A few things, I might have missed some too, but after playing on smaller tables for many games in 40k and trying to play the scenarios in my head for AoS this is what I concluded. No man zone is the same Some missions your Deployment zones were a lot smaller Points went up to compensate but not by enough, roughly 15% and table smaller by 24% Makes coming from Reserves, summoning, teleporting, etc.. much harder and easier to screen out. They added a rule to always come in on your table edge even if the enemy screened you out and are within engagement range, AoS will most likely do this too. Slower armies can react to missions/objectives a lot easier. Slower armies gets a boost Faster armies are still at an advantage in some areas, but smaller tables means harder to move and use that speed, some super fast units don't need all that speed anymore and just gets bodied, or can't heavily flank as well. Objectives are mostly still same distance when its 2-4, but 5+ Objective and they get tight, easy to move from 1 to another a lot of the times. Bomb spells are much more effective, losing not only 2" back Deployment but also 12" side deployment. Deployment is but also isn't as heavily important. You can moving into a better position much easier, but AoE spells will hurt even more if you are castle to hard (which is easier to do) Less possible terrain on the table over all Depending on new terrain rules, Faction terrain will be harder to use (this is a big problem for 40k, Forts are almost impossible to use) Mid to long range shooting becomes stronger and harder to stay away Retreating is actually harder now too, smaller tables mean less space to move Larger based unit are much harder with more terrain and units being tighter to move, but are also easier to multi combat, this could go either way depending on new terrain and engagement ranges NOTE: 2 things will make or break army compositions going into new 3.0 1) Points and 2) Engagement Ranges. If points don't go up much and Engagement range stays 3" tables are going to feel very small.
  4. No man Zones will stay the same, Ambush will be harder. ALso, Yeah the Shaggoth did take a hit, but it really wasn't that impactful in the game anyways, i've never had people aiming for him over the Shamans giving +3" movement buffs.
  5. I now your pain..... I have 2 KoS converted from Ghorgons and large amounts of DoT. I play out of those books time to time. I'm hoping that we get something to compensate for us in our new book as well as Slaangors added. Maybe we can just pick a mark and that gives us the ability to play out of other gods book.
  6. @The Red King Why are you sad? (You made a sad emoji) this is good, it stacks with our other abilities, its basically free extra rules.
  7. Yes, we have seen the pages for the rules and not second rumors.
  8. B.c it was terrible before and almost not playable outside of just a wound pool to put on the table. I mean it just dies now, but it can actually use all of its abilities now, it is improved for sure. Not how I would have done it, but at least there is a reason to take it now.
  9. Not everything is in the BR book, only a few things. No leaks has shown anything else other than what was already posted, so it is safe to assume nothing else. That also doesn't mean they will stay in our new book. Before you go and buy lots of them consider that. If you do get a couple and they do go away, they can be converted into something else.
  10. I have no reason to bring one at all anymore lol.
  11. Except he has to fight first and stay alive after he fights before you pick Bestigors to fight. To get in a save spot and wholly within 18" is pretty freaking hard. I haven't been even able to use it and keep him live in over a year of games.
  12. Some Rumors are we can't use none "Core" Battalions for Match play anymore. GW has already said there will be a list of Core Battalions in the new core rules, but also has not said anything else, so its just rumors for now.
  13. Points will go up, we have seen some already do so, and Horde discounts seems to be gone. But I do not want 40k Coherency rules, we need it to be over 10 models not over 5 models. That would mean 6 man Bulls had to be in 2 ranks, I do not want all these large based units to be force to be in 2 ranks, it would really kill them unless Ranges change.
  14. Ambush is going to be much harder actually. Losing 12" means less space to place models, which means less space to have outside of 9". Having played 40k all of 9th with smaller tables, its is noticeable for sure.
  15. It says Hit rolls, but the Battalion says Ghorgon only from what I can see in the pictures. Also I hate the new Beastlord rules, this just means I have no reason to even take him over a Doombull until new3.0 rules says otherwise. I only took him b.c he was a real character threat, his aura is basically impossible to use b.c of the IGOUGO combat of AoS. I don't need him to charge turn 1, so his speed is not a problem, a flat 9" and a run turn 1 (Near Shaman) means he can still move 9" turn 2 and charge, that is 18+D6" movement.
  16. I have updated my information. Thanks. Its a pure suicide unit now.
  17. He never lives long enough to work though, unless he still needs to make a kill he will be the next target.
  18. After seeing the translated rules, I have no hope for our book now. It is clear GW has no idea what our issues are. BL could move 9" this was already fast enough and let me charge turn 1. Exploding hits is not helpful for him. The only reason to take him over a Doombull was the re-rolls vs Heroes, his aura almost never works as you can just kill him before you attack with other units. Exploding hits makes me not want to take him now, especially for 5pts more..... Jabber - Give enemy +1 atks to make them deal MW's, so its a suicide unit. Dragon Ogres didn't need to deal 1 MW and heal 1, thats not what is wrong with them, this doesn't want me to take them anymore than why i would take them now. They still are extremely bad at everything. Bullgors MW charge is fine, they would have had it from day 1, still not really helping them fix what we want them to do, dealing 1-3 more damage is not the fix. Gors (not the keyword) can re-roll charges out of Ambush too bad they are one of the worst melee units in the book. If summoning counted as an Ambush that would make Gors a good option to summon over Ungors, but nope. This again doesn't address the issues with Gors, they are still not worth taking. They can I guess have a change to tie up a unit now? But its still a 9" charge even with re-rolls you can't relay on it.
  19. My Cygors won me a game vs Lumineth. The Lumineth player has to target them first now lol (I through a double Hungering Warherd list together for him to play a few quick games so he could learn the army, I have 2 Cygors and Ghorgons so I used them).
  20. The current models legs are freaking awful, i hate them. I like yours much better
  21. Does this have us in it? (on mobile currently)
  22. I honestly see the Jabberslythe going away.
  23. IDk lol I can rationalize Bullgors hitting on 4+. Bullgors hits on 4's, they are big lingering minded bulls that are swinging wildly and not trained in hitting, so yeah they should hit on 4's but they also should wound easier and deal more damage. I just want them to not die to everything in the game. Make them harder to move out of combat and let me live for more than 1 round, then who cares if they hit on 4's, i'm getting twice the attacks out of them.
  24. https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/ZxdBRlSj3WkAfOAG.pdf One of his abilities (Rampaging Destruction) is kind of silly lol, but over all he is very solid, a bit slow, and spells are basically never going to work on him. The terrain rule is a bit odd to me, will need to look at that closer and see 3.0 rules first, it seems like it wants to not remove it from the table but removes all the rules and it stays in play, but acts like its not, so this could maybe effect Line of Sight? He seems to be strong, given points and new 3.0 rules we will have to wait and see how strong.
