  1. Honestly, i hope ALL negate wounds goes to wards, IDK why this isn't already the case. Sure it helps us but it also helps other armies become almost unkillable with 4+++'s on top of another save, and it makes some spells, unit abilities, etc.. that ignores Wards almost pointless.
  2. FAQs are not really there to boost, but at least DO can use commands now and Raiders are not dog ****** other than pre-game move. This makes me like my Raiders again.
  3. https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/jUJe1sqnaUJm1RyN.pdf https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/od5R5vQCdUYsTvvB.pdf Core updates too, Raiders are fixed and DO can use commands with themselves now.
  4. Its mostly game dependent, but you want to make sure to have at least 1 of the 3point summon units, a cockatrice, and a couple higher damaging units. This is my recommended to have not the "must haves"; Ungors Chariot Spawn Gors Centigors Raiders Bestigors Enlighten Cockatrice Dragon Ogres Enlighten on Disk Chimera This is my Must have list; Ungors Chariot Raiders Cockatrice Dragon Ogres Ungors for cheap chaff to get a point, Raiders for the same thing but also can chip 1-2 wounds here and there, they also move fast and can still be more useful than Ungors, Cockatrice b.c its a Monster with fly, DO's and Chariot b.c they count as 2 models instead of 1, the Chariot also gets re-roll charges if you need it in a pinch. The count as 2 models instead of 1 is very important if they have a hero/1 thing on an objective that also counts as 1 or 2.
  5. What do you guys like better? Its going to be on a Infernal Courtier. Frenzied Flesh eater (re-roll hits/wounds if enemy took damage while within 3") And then either; Carrion Wand (Arcane bolt, charge and deal MW's on the charge) or Bilious Decanter. The idea is to get a wound and then double attack, this is for smaller pointed games 600-1k. Or Make it a wizard equal to a Ghoul king and have Cogs on the table to get +atks and Flaming sword for +1D as well as Bilious Decanter. I want a more friendly list for Path to Glory while building up my General as a Big bad Bat.
  6. If you are able to wait (sounds like you are?) wait for a new book to build you DO's. who knows what will change with them and how.
  7. For summoning and spells purpose I go 2 of ours, it depends if you value those more or not. I do not value it more. Pressuring 3 summon units is really strong IMO. I also take 1 of each, Terror and ZD, the ZD re-roll wounds aura is pretty strong.
  8. The Gor kit is really old actually, Ungors got a new kit b.c Raiders came out and it was a dual kit. Ghorgon was released in 7th with our new book so was the Shaman in 2011 (I remember the Ghorgon date pretty well). While 10-11yrs seem old, its not really that old for GW. I personally think most out kits that are plastic are fine, i would like new Bullgors, and finecast to be made into plastic for our next release. After that I would like Khornegors, Pestigors, mounted hero and some named heroes. Then Bestigors box redone for new players and Gors redone for better options.
  9. Anything that is plastic with maybe the expectation of Bestigors and Gors as they are some of our oldest plastics most likely wont be touched at all. Also it doesn't matter to GW how old a kit is, there are still plastic kits that are 20+ years old in many armies across the games that never got anything new but then they re-made some kits there were less than 10yrs old. It more so has to do with the logistics of the kit. Ungors/Raiders, Ghorgons/Cygors, DOs, Shaman, were redone in 7th edition which honestly is still kind of new for plastic kits and most likely won't be touched. Bestigors, Gors, and Bullgors are a few years older and might have a change. It also depends on if they want to push the army in a different direction, if they wanted a Brayherd and Warherd feel over Thunderscorn we might see a new Doombull and a couple Bullgors, with no other updates, or if they wanted DO's and monsters we could see all new Shaggoths, Jappers, etc... GW is known for going far left field at times with new army books. TL;DR: 90% chance plastics here to stay, but GW does crazy things at times.
  10. Tzaangors while are tankier they also are more costly. 170pts for what is something that 20 Gors can do for 20pts less, sure no 6+++ and 4 of them can have a better weapon, as soon as 2 die their damage tanks. I still run 1 unit of them, but a unit like Bestigors or Enlighten Tzaangors are the Hammer and Tzaangors are the Anvil. Dragon Ogres are also more of an Anvil unit, their damage is low and their job is to tank hits while Bullgors are the Hammer. BoC is all about having throw away units with good speed and timing your hammer units, some tank units are fine as most of our stuff is pretty squishy. Don't forget if you take 20 Tzaangors you need to save CP for bravery for them, its a strong anvil but many things can still kill them so you need to still becareful what to throw them at. Also if you are doing a 20man for sure go with some Greatblades, those things are were the damage is at, the other 12 can be shields.
  11. Oh shoot, I forgot about him, you're right! Not only are Beastmen suppose to lose but we need to make the opponent look good doing it!
  12. Its not always a hamstring though, just b.c it is cheap or weak doesn't mean it does not have a use, a good example is the Mindstealer Sphiranx only 10 wounds with a 5+ save but can really help you by making a unit fight last and a -2LD aura. There is a difference in some people want to take a Monster to have the Monster keyword for use of VPs and not for its actual abilities and having one to actually be useful for your army. OP's event he is going to the players are under the impression that you NEED a monster to win, which you DO NOT. If your opponent brings monsters and you don't, sure you can not get more VP's from using your lack of monster but you CAN get more VP's for killing someone else's monsters, it goes both ways.
  13. Deepkin, LRL, and StD (with Be'lakor ofc). Yeah they were basically a speed bump only, but could Gors do it with a 10man? Thats the question on if they are worth taking or now.
  14. We could not take Shaggoths before and now at least you can in Blades of Khrone army.
  15. Literally every army can get a Monster someway somehow, how is that not using it correctly? Can you show me a army without one even given allies (like i said)? To my knowledge every army has access to a Monster. PS: I also explained, you don't always want a monster if its bad. But for those that think they must have them at least you can take them.
  16. The 3 games I played they all died turn 1 or turn 2, even with +1 to saves, its just 15 wounds and 1/2 that damage was from MW's. I'm taking them out of my list now.
  17. Comp short for competitive, WAAC is "Win at any cost" or "Win at all costs" not every comp player is WAAC, actually being at 3 GT's i have not played 1 WAAC player for those events, and i was in both Team and singles in all 3 (that is a total 22 games for major events). WAAC players are not meta list players, thats just normal meta listing, they are players that will argue, try to get things their way, slow play when they are winning, etc.. not always cheaters but they try to get the win outside of just playing a good list.
  18. Ignore those people they have no idea what they are talking about. Not only does literally every army have monsters, the very few that wouldn't want to take them even has ways to add in monsters anyways. You also don't need many of them, 1 is good enough for most armies. Having more monsters can make you LOSE the game b.c of the rule Predators and Prey. I have a friend that play Deepkin and he was complaining that the turtle wouldn't do enough for him b.c I take 4 Monsters. I should him that not a single one of my Monsters can kill a single one of his units by themselves, that he can use Predators and Prey each turn to get +4 more VP's over me and his turtle (Leviadon) can literally get him +1 extra VP a turn where mine most likely couldn't. After that he changed his mind and is now looking at it differently. When people don't look at all the pieces and tries to make house rules it sets up a bad habit and understanding of the game that then also influence other actions later as well, its very bad for the game.
  19. It casts on 7 now, we have no plus to cast and needs a Tshaman to reliable get it off. Also it is within 3" not what it flys over, so we need to make sure its not near us when we want to engage in combat, that also means armies that can move before combat (Like IJ, Khorne, LRL, etc...) they can just walk away from it. Finally we could just ally in the Mindstealer Sphiranx to make 1 unit fight last as well. We gain another unit and monster. It also works on a 16.7% chance and not a 50/50 chance that can also just be stopped, GL getting the Taurus to work against any magical army. EDIT: PS, it has nothing to do with old vs new, or that it deals less MW's we take it for fight last, it is hard to get off b.c of cast on 7, so many armies has denies now b.c they have to, it costs 110pts which is a lot. Its just not worth that amount of points at all.
  20. Its a large nerf for sure, also 7 to cast makes it worst. Just take a Sphynax instead lol.
  21. You can not take BoC endless spells if you coalition a unit.
  22. Yep, can not use Slaangors. Wildfire Taurus also effects us if we are within 3" of it now too. Not changed to Raiders, no other warscroll change like many armies, no marks but instead a bad coalition rule for other armies. Over all not idea for us. Minor buff, Terrain can be near enemy territories now and Ravening Direflock got a small buff.
