    Well, we got some point changes:

    Plagueclaw: 160 -> 135
    Deathmaster: 115 -> 100
    Plague Furnace: 245 -> 235
    Nightrunners: 85 -> 75

    Where are the points changes?

    Plagueclaw still overpriced and underwhelming.

    Deathmaster not yet worth 1 Hero slot and 100 pts.

    Nightrunners cost drop is good, still not enough for my table for points on non Core units.

    Plague Furnace - cool, but 10 points is really nothing.

  2. All I see that helps us is Giant Rats - which are capped at 18 (!?) have 2” range, and clarifying the Warpseer Pokeball.

    Again very disappointed Claw Lord on Brood Horror.

    Warp Verminlord- they updated his magic and points - is She legal?

  3. First the base size was 25mm.  Then they changed the base size to 32mm.

    Then we could have units of 3x 30 .

    Here’s when I made / modded 120 Acolytes, and changed all their bases. Again.

    Then the Max unit size dropped  to 20. But I could have as many as I had points.

    Now the max unit size is only 15 - and only if I use 2/3 of available reinforcements for them.

  4. Let’s talk Gnawholes - Things have changed now.  Not so much for “them” but the Royal us.

    I’m looking for ways to creatively and deeply well thought out, deliberate strategic use of the Gnawholes now.

    So it’s impassable 5” diameter terrain - that won’t stop LOS for our Behemoths, we can elect to place in our Deployment Zone.  But probably no more than 2 now with 18” between.  So we can’t fit x3 impassable areas, that could be worse.

    We get a +1 to Dispel, That’s nice.

    We can’t not just play with them.

    Change my opinion- Too easy to shut down for our board maneuver, and arguably  (?) less effective for Magic.

  5. @Skreech Verminking Recommend Grand Strategy- Hold the Line.

    The Burning Head is only 20 pts… no reason not to bring that extra MW little  fireball if you have the points and model.

    Maybe replace the Verminlord with Grey Seer and Screaming Bell for some Death Frenzy?  Masterclan returns the CP on 5+.

    having monsters is great, but denying Victory Points by not having monsters is also great.

    Dont forget the situational spell Metamorphosis when you need a monster at the right time.

    Roar into combat eliminates All Out Defense on at least one unit a turn.

    Looks like you want the Warpseer to get in combat, another option is the Warbringer.

    Command abilities is Huge, Screaming Bells are worth it.

  6. Mystic Shield + Clanshields question -

    I think I already clarified this before- but please confirm-

    If casting Mystic Shield on Clanrats/Stormvermin while unit is 10+ Models  - We don’t get an additional +1.

    But still worthwhile if opponent uses Rend weapon against us, as we may lose -1 (or whatever) but get a +1 back.

    Right?

  7. @Aelford Like the list, may want a Different Grand Strategy (Hold the line?) as I think you only have 2 Wizards and they’re both going to be aggressive and near the enemy.

    You don’t want to lose 2 and then have to pull back from there trying to keep the other fella alive just to succeed at the Grand Strategy.

    As for the Hold the Line, you just need 1 Stormvermin to live to succeed.

  8. Discussion - Grey Seer on Screaming Bell - “Pushed into Battle” -

    Says we can’t start our move unless 10 SKAVENTIDE models are within 6”.

    Do all 10 need to be from the same unit?

    I had been playing that way, and making it work.

    (I play with 4 Bells in my list.)

    But - The rules as written do not stipulate the Skaventide models have to be from the same unit.

    I had been really leery about 1x10 Stormvermin because- in my thought process - lose 1 and no more Bell being pushed.

    The only units we can really use to Push are -

    Clanrats - Best Choice - I assign 1 to each bell for a 33 wound action team right there.

    Stormvermin

    Giant Rats - (need x2- don’t laugh, 80 points - cheaper than 130 for Clanrats

    Plague Monks

    Maybe

    Plague Censer Bearers (but why?) - with a reinforcement and as long as they don’t die

    Acolytes (why, same argument as PCB).

    Another later conversation- we are finally HUGE winners with Stormvermin now.

    Not really.

    they already get an extra +1 to the hit role with their allegiance ability as long as they have 20 or more models.

    since stacking isn‘t a option, your better of just giving them the gnash gnaw on their bones command, from a clawlord

    But they won’t anymore.  We’ll likely have 10-19 when fighting.  If they have 20 - great we’re hitting in 2s.

    AoS 3 will make it unusual see units over 20.

  10. I’m pleased with how the Stormvermin are now in points, and with All Out Attack, or All Out Defense having <20 Models or < 10 Models doesn’t matter as much.

    I had a 4 drop list yesterday, All Bells, Clanrats and Stormvermin in the list. I lost by 2 points at bottom of 3 and would have won if another turn as I’d pretty much shut down his generating more points with my turn.

    Going second is Huge.
