  1. Question- Revealing Hidden Weapons Teams and Unleash Hell in Opponent’s Shooting Phase. Are we agreed we “can” use Unleash Hell and reveal our Hidden Weapons Teams n the *Opponents Shooting Phase*, or do we need to wait for *Our Turn* Charge or Shooting?
  2. Did I read this wrong - in the Core Rules PDF, you finish deploying first you go first. No roll off. But (and I support this) In Matched Play, you finish Deployment first you still Roll Off - but you have Priority if you finished first (tie breaker).
  3. I like 40pts for 6 Mv8” Giant Rats. I think they’re useful- and Cheap.
  4. So, I charge Clanrats at the Fyreslayers- Make the charge and have 5 in base to base with 4 servings as a back row if you will each touching 2 of my CR, but I have not piled in yet. Assume I have a whole unit of 20 CR - all touching 2 with Coherency after the charge. Fyreslayers go first - and he piles around my CR - he does his best but due to terrain, another combat or whatever he’s not able to get more than 5 in combat for whatever reasons. FS pile in is key - Right? He should be planning his Coherency based on whatever wounds I do - it’s not smart to fully wrap around unless he’s got a legitimate reason. FS does their attacks - say I take wounds from my back not breaking any Coherency. I attack back and Miraculously he takes 2 unsaved wounds creating a Good Fyreslayer. So - he’s removing his Model - he needs to pick to not break Coherence- otherwise he loses everything in a line until coherence is found even if it means going down to 5 models. Does that sound accurate? At no point can we break the coherence rules, even with pile in and removing our dead models.
  5. Explain like I’m five - Coherency, Pile in and removing casualties Assuming successful charge - Can someone give examples of the Charge, Pile In, and also retaining Coherency after removing casualties? Maybe an example using Fyreslayers with 32mm and Skaven with 25mm?

    Skaventide 3.0

My current list - for a Tournament- is 4 Bells, 3x 40 Clanrats, 2x Warpfire Throwers, and 1x 6 Giant Rats. Did ok in the first and only 3.0 game I played, Played Frontal Assault vs Fyreslayers. I was expecting to be just destroyed my Fyreslayers, ended up winning on points and objectives- as well as getting, holding and keeping the objectives.
  7. I had 4 Bells, x3 units 40 Clanrats, 1x40 Plague Monks, 1 Plague Priest and a Burning Head and a CP
  8. My most recent list from last week is now 2525 pts in 3. Ed
  9. Ok, I think I kind of get what’s going on sort of with these changes. If you squint your eyes and look hard it might be an updated version of the WHFB version of Core, Special and Rare slots based on army size. Since Skaven as the Best Chaos we are pretty much 4 armies based on our General. This is my conjecture- Different General, different Battleline choices - right? When - say Giant Rats - are Battleline under Moulder - they’ll have (whatever) reinforcements they get as Battleline, otherwise they’ll have the reinforcements of non-Battleline. Same for Clanrats. Otherwise we’ll need an extensive rewrite for our rules.
  10. My first reaction is this seems unnecessary and complicated. I’d question myself and say, relax let’s see - except the double turn is also returning, unnecessary and complicated.
  11. A Benefit - having 4 different “waves” to be able to charge with Plague Monks - and taking multiple Bringers of the Word for “free” shot at MW. PM are best on the charge, and when they die.
  12. Ok, just a question- Which would you prefer? Other things being equal in you list - 6 Units of 20 Clanrats or 3 Units of 40 Clanrats? Also 1 Unit of 40 Plague Monks or 4 Units of 10 Plague Monks (Note - this means x4 Bringers of the Word)
  13. 5 model units? They can only reinforce 3 times? 3 model units - 6 times?
  14. That Rally rule, it’s got to be since the last previous turn - there’s no way we could take a unit of 40 Clanrats and keep bringing 1/6 dead rats back at the top of every turn - but that would be awesome. E.g. You just took 32 wounds, made you bravery because your next to the Bell… Rols 32d6 - gets back 6 Rats - minimum 10 rats within 6” of the Bell - back in the game baby! That went from a stranded Bell to still operating.
  15. Plague Priests - wow at 80 pts how do we not fit at least one in a list of 2K now. Im doing a 2K Tourney next month, my 4 Bells list. It’ll be AOS 3.0, so new updated rules. I’ve decided I need to revamp my points to take a CP and a Plague Priest too. At 80 pts I think a Plague Priest is an almost auto include, and with 130 pts the Plague Priest and a CP. Thoughts?
  16. Sorry, not sorry, for double post. Subject - Rules clarification for Look Out Sir! (LOS) - will change to only effecting Hero’s with 10 or less wounds. So Skaven rule - Lead From the Back Rules as written (RAW) - same as the LOS! Rule - but applies to melee weapons. So right *Now*, before any clarifications happen - ourthe Grey Seer on Screaming Bell - per RAW we apply the -1 to hit our bell when our bell is attacked in melee and we have other troops in 3”. We expecting to lose that?
  17. No, I don’t think there’s any skirting the 9” rule.
  18. Be’lakor should be usable for all Chaos except the best Chaos which is Skaven. But we don’t need him anyway.
  19. @Skreech Verminking I’m at the point - don’t change anything, we rarely see a rational change “to our benefit”. General rule of thumb is that if the rules change for a unit, the points go up to field. Plague Catapult - Needs rewrite of rules - currently irrational to add to a list - It sucks. One shot, too expensive, slow, and not worth it for close combat. If it was fast, or had better re-roll for misses and wound, or was a beast in close combat, but it’s not. Assassin - I wish I could spend a hero slot for more - maybe give them Mortal Wouns on characters? Too little for too much. They only average 2 wounds in combat. Plague Censer Bearers - Should be squatted. The monks do the same, the PCB are a dependent unit - they depend on the Monks to be around to be cooler. I don’t field them. They do the same battlefield roll as Monks, so I’m going to buy, build, and paint monks. Would love to see a return of Mortars, but that ship has sailed. Doom Flayers should be squatted, or rules changed. Useless for points, like 50% chance it dies in combat every round of combat. If rules change almost 100% that points go up. Positive note - Everything I don’t mention I would rather they don’t touch unless we get a new book.
