  1. Hi! Im soon done with my Blades of Khorne army and I have had my mind on a Mixed order list a long time...I love the thought of having stuff from several alligences working together..aelves, dwarfs, humans and trees working together..aaah! So cool! - What units did you use to good effect in a Mixed order list? ((If you have a list you have used, please share!)) - would you say Mixed order can be atleast somewhat competitive? How could a competitive list look? So If you have any XP on using mixed Order, please join the discussion here! All i can learn from a Veteran is great! Cheers!

    Share your successes

Hi everyone, When looking through this forum, I normally find quite a few threads concerning the lacking ability of destruction armies. This thread is not intended to function as a criticism to those post, it is however the intention to look at the bright side of things. So, the concept is that each time you win a game with a destruction army, mixed or full - then share your list, and context when applicable. In order to kick it off, I will go first. The context of my latest success was a thursday session with the group I normally play Age of Sigmar with. The theme of the session was 1k combat, so I brought the following mixed destruction list: Fungoid Cave-shaman (General) Mega-Boss Butcher Troggoth Hag Moonclan Grots (Battleline) Savage Orruks (Battleline) My opponent fielded a 1k Brayherd list and the game was quite even, but especially the Mega-Boss and Troggoth Hag gave me the upper hand due to damage output and staying power, despite being outnumbered and surrounded. Let us hear your success!

    Mixed Destruction Synergies

Hi there I have found that mixed destruction armies are not so popular in tournaments and, at least, in my meta. Moreover, there is not so much discussion about. Well overall is this in all the alliances. I'm not talking about to use the allied option in GH2. I'm thinking more on to use about half or 2/3 of the army of some particular allegiance and the rest of other ones, or even a rainbow of units belonging to all the different armies of destruction. I can understand why and the advantages that brings to build an army around a particular allegiance to get its bonus. The question is, is still mixed destruction armies competitive? Is it possible to build for instance a Orc & Goblins or Ogre Kingdom style age of sigmar army and still be competitive? I can see some good synergies out there: Beastriders + Arroboys kunnig rukk: Probably the most competitive combination in destruction Orruk warboss + Morboys : Morboys with 4 attacks a piece? Yes please Ironjaws + sipderfangs: Ardboys and brutes backed with a cavarly able to load a ridiculous amount of mortal wounds and alpha strike almost everything in the game? Dangerous... Ironjaws + gitmob artillery: Ironjaws with a decent shooting phase? Seems promissing Ogors + grots: Ogors and big count of models? Interesting... Which other combination do you found useful? Or there is any combination that can overshadow the advantage to have an army build around a particular allegance? Did anybody still use Mixed destruction list? and if so what did you tried so far and how it have been the experience?
  4. Hey folks! So generally my chaos armies have been slaves to darkness with some Tzeentch mortals thrown in. Though recently I've been wanting to steer a bit more toward the archaon follower side and be able to really have some fun with mixing and matching things. I also quite like the thunderscorn dragon ogres so being able to include them in some lists would be great I like to change my lists around each time I play them for some fun but generally my main core will be Slaves to Darkness. My current ones are painted blue and silver though I do worry that will be seen a bit too tzeentch and as such may not fit too well for the undivided theme. As such I may repaint them to black using the really nice dark reaper over the top of that for highlights (and possibly thunderhawk blue for some bright edging details) Regardless I'd love to know good units from other gods I can chuck in and work well as I'd love to have lists featuring 2 or more god units within it. Usually I find my StD do really well defensively and units like Tzaangors I love for bringing a bit of punch with their flurry of attacks. I'm thinking demonettes could be great for getting some rend around and I've heard blightkings are a good nurgle unit that can fit into lists super easy. Khorne wise I've got the stuff from the AoS starters set so figured the khorgorath might prove nice to throw in for a mini monster or some blood reavers as a nice cheap objective holding unit (though they work so much better with a totem hero). I also have some good tzeentch casters such as the ogroid, curseling and gaunt summoner. So basically I'd love to know what sort of units folks think can work well either with StD synergies or without needing too many points sunk into synergies and the like. I have a warshrine which I can easily set to a mark or use as undivided to give abilities to everyone and I've also got sayl to teleport some knights or warriors around. I prefer mortals but I'm fine with adding some demons in (though not too big a fan of bloodletters or horrors really) Also I'd likely be looking at using the grand alliance allegiance with this (though the nice thing with primarily StD is being able to do any god allegiance for any games)

    Fyreslayers + allies, what works?

Hi! Later this week i will get the hold on alot of Fyreslayer units, pretty much all you need......but i like to mix my armies if possible. Any experienced players that tried mixing fyreslayers with other order factions, what worked and what did ot work? - i was thinking about 2x dwarf cannons with a cogsmith (for reroll to hit) to gain some range, and maybe a hurricanum would be good? for those mortal wounds and +1 hit to everything around them...thoughts? - as i said, any other order unit im missing that can be of great use for the fyreslayers? please share your ides!! Best regards, Kimbo

    Picking an Army

So, since jumping into Age of Sigmar, I've been a pretty big fan of the Destruction faction. Recently, I've jumped around between Beastclaw Raiders, mixed ogors, and Ironjawz, after running a fairly successful mixed army of goblins, orruks, and ogors. Given the new year, I'd like to ideally pick up a Chaos army at some point (preferably Skaven, once they get their shiny new battletome). That being the case, it means I will need to reduce my Destruction forces somewhat. Currently, I'm torn between my three armies, so I'd like some community input on which to carry forward. Ironjwawz List - Gordrakk - 700 Mawcrusha - 520 Megaboss - 140 Weirdnob - 120 Warchanter - 80 Warchanter - 80 Ardboyz (shields) X 20 - 360 Brutes (choppas) x 10 - 360 Brutes (choppas) x 5 - 180 Gores (choppas) x 3 - 180 Gores (choppas) x 3 - 180 Mixed Ogors - Frostlord Thundertusk - 420 Huskard Stonehorn - 360 Tyrant - 160 Ogors - 240 Ogors - 240 Ogors - 240 Ogors - 120 Leadbelcher - 160 Leadbelcher - 160 Mournfang Cavalry (clubs) - 400 Thundertusk Riders - 320 Sabres - 120 Pure Beastclaw Raiders - Frostlord Thundertusk - 420 Frostlord Stonehorn - 460 Huskard Stonehorn- 380 Hunter - 160 Mournfang Cavalry - 400 Mournfang Cavalry - 400 Yettis - 240 Sabres - 120 Sabres - 60 Thundertusk Riders - 320
