Okay, so here's my parsing of how Pretenders interacts with the Supreme Sybarites battalion: you MUST have only ONE slaanesh hero, not 3-6. That means you basically lose the battalion's benefit, as you have to roll a 1 to get the free command point, but it also makes the battalion cheaper.... hm. Is it worth it to pay 480 for a Keeper of Secrets to get a command point and artefact with each one? lol I don't know, what do you guys think? I used to run Pretenders with an Exalted as general, but now I am thinking of playing Invaders while my Pretender sits back and sleeps. Alternatively, I could play Pretenders again and trick out a keeper to make her coolio.

Now we have points costs (which is exciting!) does anyone have a rundown of the Battalions and what they do? And costs? Or do I need to find a video?

"EH" about right sums up my feelings on Shalaxi. I'm sorta... ambivalent, is probably the term. Still waiting on that "Soulfeaster" Keeper Forge World warscroll upload...

The Squeaker of Keeprets looks pretty good. Interestingly, the Forge World Exalted's warscroll appears to have been updated (pointing to a "2019 soulfeaster keeper of secrets") but the pdf has not yet been added/uploaded. No nerfs in what I can see - just buffs and more options, really. Probably going to go with the Sinoustrous Hand or whatever given what most of my Keepers are already armed with. Shalaxi Helbane isn't *that* exciting, really. Or am I the only one who thinks so?

Haha, that's actually a good point.... I'm shocked I hadn't considered this, but it's amazing. My thoughts as well... The only problem is I like the way Shalaxi's model looks, except for the headdress. I'll see if you can equip a keeper with a spear - that would be epic.

I'm not really using the FW model. I've converted my own you can see upthread. This is more of a question about rules and fluff rather than model.

So how do I deal with this fluffwise? I've got an Exalted ruling over a court of Keepers. What happened to her? does she just stay off the battlefield and her minions become Invaders? Does she use a new KOS datasheet with all the gear and the distinction becomes purely fluff? does she use Shalaxi's warscroll if it's better? etc. The gameplay-story intersection is what I wanted to chat about I guess.

I saw the stream. The implication was that they were very nervous about talking about the EKoS and they outright said they'd be "somewhat less exalted." It's a mite embarrassing if the basic Keeper outperforms the Exalted Keeper at literally everything.

Also, sorry for double post, but I have to vent. I am so eager to move along with speculating and adjusting my army, but so little information exists .... it's almost painful. anyone want to chat about potential lore or anything? What are people doing with their "Exalteds" in the fluff now that they are not-so-Exalted? Are they getting some sudden demotion for some reason? Are the Keepers underneath them being empowered? Does anyone care? haha.

Technically, a "debuff" could be something like: Enfeeble: Pick an enemy unit within 12". Friendly units targeting this unit re-roll to-wound. something like that.

He's not specifically being removed, he just doesn't get a warscroll in the book. It is confirmed. This likely means he is being removed, but it could also remain as an alternative to a Lord of Chaos on Daemonic Mount... ... but yeah, he's probably gone.

What exactly is an "army" in this case? Now that we have battleline Terrorgheists and the BCR behemoths as battleline, can Ironweld Arsenal get battleline steamtanks? Or will they be folded into Free Peoples? Or will they just be dropped with Free Peoples getting a book full of their stuff, excluding cannons and steam tanks etc.

"Favored Allies" just sounds like a really good way to upset some people. E.G. "Why are Ironweld Arsenal favored allies with Free Peoples but not Dispossessed?" So in this example, you make Ironweld Arsenal favored allies with both! And then thrown Kharadron in there two, because they're both steampunk and the Kharadron are duardin anyways. Then throw in Elves, because this one free city in the lore has X... at that point you've just diluted the concept to nothingness. Play with different "Ally Points" levels, or fold in battalions with "ally" units like Alarielle's Guardians. -

Endless Spells and Terrain Preview are up. Important note: If you sacrifice and artefact instead of a wound to the Fane, it gives you re-rolls to hit for the entire game. Not sure if worth, but sounds kinda like it...

But... if they had waited until the mortals were ready, you would still be waiting longer whether or not this Hedonites book came out. It's not like they can just have the mortals ready RIGHT NOW but decided not to.

Ah yeah. I think the biggest thing is they wanted to overhaul Slaanesh, but didn't know how to go about Daemons and Mortals simultaneously, so they focused on Daemons, realizing their vision for the new Keeper of Secrets (which was needed badly) and the invaders cavorting across the realms. What I would really like to see, and might fit Slaanesh more, is instead of an "inner circle" of Mirror-Guard style mortals, they instead allow the inducting of mortals from other Grand Alliances, Cult of Pleasure style. That would facilitate an army of mortals seduced by Slaanesh from all walks of life, which is how the novels read. E.g. the Red Hours, which has a couple Free People guys, a Lion Ranger, a Dwarf, and others who get seduced by a daemon of Slaanesh called the Mother of Heroes.

They explicitly stated that this is the case. I'm not sure what the other gods got. More mortals is what you mean?

What? I mean, yes, this is an update to the Slaanesh-keyworded units from Grand Alliance: Chaos. It adds at least 3 new units: the split Hellstrider, the new DP, and the Contorted Epitome. What were you expecting, other than an update to GA:C with Slaanesh Keyword + new units?
