  1. These are some of the worst pictures I've ever seen.
  2. They are incredibly tedious in my opinion aye. As are all one note strategies. The Art of War would have been very short and very boring if Sun Tzu had thought like a lot of AOS players.
  3. Oh I can see how it would be really effective at objectives. It's just the heavier combat scenarios might be a bit much. But it sounds super interesting/fun to play with and against, good on you. The past few pages have sort of forced me to consider taking a lot of Vanguard stuff now, so my wallet is angry at you.
  4. While we're talking Vanguard, why are Gryph Hounds and Aetherwings getting bad press these days? Seem pretty versatile
  5. They overcome a lot of SC weaknesses but they come at the expense of not having the strengths of the other chambers so it's sort of moot. Also with Look out Sir rule now their assassination capabilities have been notably nerfed. I suspect you would have to be rather good at the finer points of kiting to play them to their potential, an even then the game as a whole dosent really favour evasive manouvures. SC traits and abilities tend to also favour more united battle lines. BUT I'm pretty sure they would be really fun.
  6. Think you lack damage and survuvability. I really respect the idea to have a number of units as lack of them is a frequently a Stormcast issue and it's interesting and different, but you've traded it for the stuff they're good at I think. Why the Templars? If you were to take SD the number of units in the table would probably give you nice overlap, for largely defensive units, in need of further survuvability, seems ideal. You might want to invest in the Justicar conclave given you've already got two Raptors, it would certainly suit the "I've got more units than you can target" vibe and enhance your already strong map control. A Knight Azyros would further augment your shootiness. I would then recommend as big a unit of something durable to sort of call a double bluff. Focus on the big unit? Get irritated and out manouvered by many things. Focus on the many things? Big unit in your face.
  7. So basically they just need to avoid pissing off their natural allies
  8. That image suggests the mushroom troll of yore (a month back) is not in Shadespire
  9. Apart from Mortal Wounds what can reliably kill Sequitors with SD rerolling armour saves? Mine are essentially immortal at present
  10. Not dissimilar to the Moria Goblins armour that
  11. The 15 issue is down to price. If you take 20 you get a discount, if you take 15 you don't, so with 15 you're losing points that could be adding wounds or doing damage or taking objectives elsewhere basically. I'm using a unit of 10 at present, and they're very hard to fault. They will kill reliably stuff or they will tie up other stuff, and they can switch on a dime. They're not quite a shock unit in my opinion as they don't do quite enough damage (unless against Demons and Nighthaunt) but unlike most shock units they can also stand to get charged and there will be about as many of them in the next turn to go again, so they're incredibly versatile. Granted if there was another 10 of them they could plough through most things in one go, but again, if your opponent is somehow dumb enough to allow 20 Sequitors to get into contact then that's pretty moot anyway.
  12. The footprint for 20 Sequitors is ludicrous. If your opponent is dumb enough to somehow let a unit that big manouvere itself into a place where it can fully bring itself to bear or not just leave them to flounder in the open space big enough for them while they capture objectives around them then they deserve to get stomped. A blob like that is just asking to be hit by multiple Endless Spells as well.
  13. Is it meant to look like The emoji ****** or is that just coincidence? ? The big guys in the new Rogue Trader set are great spawn options too
  14. Dark Eldar models are glorious. Easily some of the best going just now.
  15. All variations of Evocators and Incantors have this weird slightly falling over overweight thing going on. Shame they're so in vogue/useful because they look pretty dumb. Sequitors look more sorcerous and mystical than the actual wizards who look like mookish henchmen/women.
  16. It's 3 Evocators or 2 Evocators and 1 Incantor so it would be weird if all 3 couldn't use magic
  17. Skin Wolves and Fimir to get repped please
  18. I felt the same but if Bloodbowl Pestigors are the way forward I can do without. Nurgle just equals fat now it would seem.
  19. Preview says 8 and there's no Grots in there which obviously there will be. Otherwise sounds about right. I would guess DOK for the "Aelves".
  20. I think one of the reasons Slaanesh has mysteriously disappeared over the past few years in both systems is to give GW the chance to work out how to do an aesthetic which isnt based on ****** and pincers. Cant say that word apparently. How about mammaries? You up on that one word filter? Haha I got past you.
  21. They got the cover of Ravening Hordes tho
  22. Goblin/Grot armies have always been fun but they were never competitive due to their randomness. That plus the number of models required and I would imagine your local example is repeated across the player base in general.
