  1. Well at least you can’t use destiny dice on the Gaunt ability as you would be consistently able to one shot sigvald level and other big heroes but man you can ruin someone day with that ability lol
  2. The problem is that too much wards trivialises regular attack (especially with how save stacking also negate rend currently) as they block both mortal and regular wounds, then it because an arm race of armies needed more high rend anti-ward attacks or abilities)
  3. It weird though because I swear the other tournament stat I saw for the gallet meta had Big Waugh at the bottomish . I am not surprise that Sons are top though since I didn’t actually think Galletian veteran and proving ground was a detriment to them because every list is contending with Bounty hunter atm.
  4. Rather problematic is more like they making these abilities more common and easier to access, mainly because they keep internally uping other mechanics previously and need to make these new counter mechanics for them. basically they upped MW too much last edition that now higher ward saves are needed on your crucial pieces but then it makes stuff to tanky again that they now need units with anti wards to offset it. I have no stakes in the argument but at least understand why their is teeth gnashing over it since it happen in 40K with the Invul, damage spike, transhuman, auto wound and higher damage, armor of contempt, and MW explosion. The additive of counter mechanics just lead to less fun games overall.
  5. Because it’s a spell and not easy to get off. look at where bone splitters is and they have it armywide on their arguably best subfaction. And they are balance by their lack of rend so it only there to boost their measly damage by not getting negated. this is on a unit that not tied to a subfaction and can be brought in mass who are also not chump in the actual shooting game. Not saying it strong or overpower, but they are clearly putting them on better units as time is going on.
  6. And so begin the arm race for anti ward abilities lol
  7. Their Supplement and Add-on have all been very imbalanced to almost hilariously poorly thought out though. like Incarnate, Purple sun, and Bounty Hunters to name a few.
  8. I don't buy that, if they actually care about reasonable level playing field and all that Jazz they wouldn't be blowing up the book every three year with an edition change and having to rerelease and rewriting the books again. the 1 model release is because there a limitation to how much they can produce and release in a given 3 to 6 year timeframe not because they feel like they want books to come out faster, and then there are big release that will happen reagardless. the assumption is more that they had sideline any big AoS release this year because 40K was behind because ofthe pandemic and them needing to meet 10 edition timeline. if AoS get any big release next year it would probably slow down the battletome frequency as they need to slot in more time and scheduling for it to happen.
  9. it did slow down during 40K 8th edition (2018) though which was pre covid time so it not it hasn't happen before in normal times
  10. well keep in my mind that some AoS release will happen like how Lumi and Sons got released along with KO, Tzeentch, and Seraphon tomes when 9th came out but it probably way too optimistic that they finish the Battletome roll out in 2023 given that traditionally new 40K edition has taken up a good chunk of the later part of the year. the Big year for AoS release seems to always be during a new edition year as they seem to pile in a lot of releases before the new edition comes out (2018 and 2021)
  11. not if 40k 10 edition takes up 4 months of the release schedule
  12. If I recalled last time Hollow was wrong about Gitz, where in reality it was Ogors as the 4th tome shrug you guys sure your not looking at what you want to see and not just caving in to the blurry-ness of the artwork? Why would it be Rhinox in the first place
  13. I think that just a mournfang rider, there a tusk option that has the same protrusion angle as the one in the picture There also like no horns on the model head part too
  14. They can add warcry warband retroactively into battletomes like the rotmire in maggotkin but the big reason, I doubt there a maneater warband release in Warcry is simple they haven’t shown any intension of using that game system to update any old miniatures so far. I skeptical that even the seraphon warband is just all Chameleon Skinks and not a hodgepodge of different lizard types.
  15. I mean it all semantics really but it too late to be release in summer to begin with as October 1st is technically fall lol edit: actually you can’t preorder in summer since September 24 is already fall and that the earliest it could happen anywhoo
  16. Remembering that Orktober actually releasing in November Edit: why everyone surprise, it already been hinted Votan where coming on the 24 of September. LRL and tzeentch where not originally slated until after 24 of September which is the first day of Autumn?
  17. We are assuming that currently and in the near future that not GW’s plan for them given that the S2D book is already leak and it doesn’t have beast in them
  18. I have doubt BoC will get that much love especially as a starter set army, I don’t even think GW love them that much to warrant that kind of speculation they can easy just get skaven treatment and that just it for them even if it is the Era of the beast. seraphim I am more optimistic about since they both had a model from broken realm and is an order army so they are more likely to get more stuff.
  19. the thing is people have been harping about human and needing a regular human army in AOS for years even when Cities came out and not fulfilling that role in the lore, this whole project was probably use to fufill what the community had wanted back then and now.
  20. it also kind of suck that all three armies could use more minis but given how GW releases stuff, the Orruk army that you play may not necessarily benefit every time Warclans get a release (especially if it's a foot hero release)
  21. They don't seem to flinch too much when it comes to negative PR I find, at least not when it comes to retiring models as that is more a natural retail trend than something major. they have ridden out Warhammer Plus, their NDA form debacle, and other things with only minor course correction at best.
  22. I feel like the problem with Big Waagh! that it works well with the majority of Ironjawz units and the other two Armies don't gain as much benefit from being in that allegiance (outside of certain power piece units like the Wurrgog Prophet). rather than being a mixed army it's feel like just another way to play your Ironjawz unit with Orruk allies in it (which you can't do in any of the other Orruk armies for some reason).
  23. at least i think anything not in your pitch battle profile but is coalition-able will not get Keywords or any synergy from your allegiance ability. That feels like the general direction they are heading
  24. apparently, Gitz, Warclanz, Nighthaunt are top sellers along with SCE and Slaves Dok and Sylvaneath are also fan favorite armies
  25. i am assuming their coalition rules will change in some way or another to match other current coalition rules
