  1. So Ironjawz are the average Gym-Rat, Kruleboyz are the high school kids who take up space while “lifting,” does that make the Gitz the kids in the daycare center?
  2. My what a ghoulishly delightful surprise! While I'm somewhat disappointed the only members of LONG LOST NEHEKHARA to make it to the grid iron are those two mummies in the Underworld team, I can appreciate the effort that went into this guy.
  3. So what you're saying is that when we finally get to a Japanese style army in AOS/TOW it will be filled with FOOLISH SAMURAI WARRIORS! that can jump good? I am here for that .
  4. Definitely getting confusing….. At least with the Order and Destruction factions, death and chaos still seem to be their own things (Manticore excluded).
  5. I agree with you @KingBrodd on multiple points, but let me put them in order of importance: 1. Like many of us I was somewhat disappointed with the lack of reveals in the big “Not 40K” reveal. We got exactly one reveal for each thing besides HH (aka 40K lite), which had the Knight kit and Epic 2.0 revealed. 2. the Kruleboyz beat wranglers are great! I won’t lie I’m a point concerned that the FEC got a warband with a similar feel to them (feels like laziness on GW’s part), but the baboon/howler monkeys and teases of swamp dragons more then make up for it. 3. New skaven warband! Odds are most of the skaven base are going to pick it up and use each model as their separate roles (new plastic plague priest) but underworlds has been a teaser for what’s to come for quite some time now…. 4. TOW: nothing from LONG LOST NEHEKHARA!!! So 5/10…. The knight’s cool though, and here’s hoping the Bret players like him. All in all here’s hoping we get an actual reveal sometime in the near future, with all the hype of the tenth edition preview and then some!
  6. On the one hand I’m happy we’re getting a giant dragon that doesn’t belong to Sigmar….. on the other hand I kinda wanted a Chaos dragon (preferably a Cathayan styled one (ala Flame Fang)). The Kruleboyz warband was my favorite “fantasy” preview, with my second favorite preview being the new knights. Here’s hoping this stuff comes sooner rather than later!
  7. Man, as a Chaos player seeing SIGMAR of all people get a manticore before me is kinda funny. The new lady looks interesting, and I bet we’ll see a lot of her in painting competitions and conversions.
  8. Autocorrect @MitGas, hates me. I meant “boards, not bird. that’s both awesome and generally horrifying to imagine on the tabletop. Just imagine how much space such a model will take up on the board….. Youve been there for me @KingBrodd, so I shall be there for you. Best of wishes to @Neverchosen on his/her job hunt (I don’t know you IRL, so I’m playing it safe mate), may your interview be fruitful and the reveals a fine bonus.
  9. It is your enthusiasm for all factions regardless of whether or you you enjoy them that helps keep this community from falling into the depravity of the 40K boards your swoleness. Here’s hoping that you get a nice big update for your slighter smaller large lads @KingBrodd.
  10. Everyone! stop torturing poor @Whitefang for information..... unless its about LONG LOST NEHEKHARA!!!! PLEASE OH WISE WOLF, TELL ME YOUR SECRETS!!!!!
  11. Summon @CommissarRotke, Lieutenant @Asbestress and @The Lost Sigmarite!
  12. At this point they’ll need Nagash, Arkhan, and Tzeentch himself to work together in order to appease the fans. I have my money on either a new Slaanesh or Slaves to Darkness warband (since Nurgle just got updated and Khorne and Tzeentch have gotten warbands this season). I’m curious about what they’ll reveal for Warcry this coming weekend: we know it’s gonna be order vs destruction, but does that mean Ogors, grote, or orruks?
  13. Bring on the new Liche Priest! or Tomb Guard or Nehekharan Warriors..... JUST BRING BACK LONG LOST NEHEKHARA ALREADY!!!!
  14. I'm fairly certain I floated this rumor back in March, but from Great Book of Grudges instead.... Does Valrak give any hints about what's going to be included in the box? MY money is on the new Tomb King, a Liche Priest, and some tomb guard since that's what has been previewed for LONG LOST NEHEKHARA!!!!
  15. I can't be insane all the time, because then I would become predictable. Oh don't get me wrong, common sense is important to me as well, it's why I don't like TOW's new tomb king paint scheme (they're trying to go for a Boris Karloff The Mummy poster look for the skin, but they over saturated the green), but this is the rumor thread, created for rumor-mongering and hype train foolery: we have a thread for complaining about/discussing Mortal Redesigns created by @CommissarRotke.
  16. I Hereby Invoke the Law of Mystery Science Theatre 3000: It's just a game and we should really just relax. As @CommissarRotke has stated Warhammer is a world filled with Magic, Gods, and Literal Daemonic forces from hell, we should just enjoy the craziness and try not to think too hard about how everything works.... lest we drive ourselves insane.
  17. As any wrestler(folk, freestyle, Greco-Roman, WWE), Hockey, American Football player can tell you, there is nothing quite as terrifying as a large man moving towards you at breakneck speeds. ESPECIALLY if he’s hungry….
  18. *Looks towards @MitGas* I wonder who they’re talking about…
  19. @KingBrodd WAKE UP MY LIEGE! YOU HAVE GOTTEN YOUR WISH!!!
  20. Probably depends on the mixture of new and old miniatures GW releases, as well as the rulebook of course.
  21. Unfortunately this formula of Hero = new units does not always come true (just look at half of any "versus" box), but I didn't know about the Blacktalon stuff so who knows?
  22. God Bless all forms of the warhammer community: Whenever a model doesn't match our expectations we typically complain for a few minutes, then bust out the green stuff, random bits from various kits, and a hobby knife/saw and get to work. Last time I saw a 40k forum be "ok" was when the Orks got their two massive expansions/updates (speed freaks and Beast Snaggas).
  23. I'm currently listening to Godeater's Son, and in chapter 13 the author reveals that one of the human characters is a "cursewright" trained by "Chaos Duardin of the Hell-forges." While this is probably nothing, it's another piece of lore to add to the growing pile of AOS chorf knowledge.
  24. I mean I want to see an army of Conan The Barbarian/Spear from Primal Football/Soccer Hooligans that doesn't involve an eight pointed star on the tabletop. I feel like "The War of The Broken Promise" is the AOS equivalent of "The War of Vengeance/The Beard" but with Chorfs and Kruleboyz instead of elves and dwarfs. We know that the two factions "work" together via hobgrot proxies, and that both are actually cheating the other out of the "good stuff," but I want to know why this is the case.
