  1. Okay, here’s what I’ve managed to piece together from the video and posts from CA and GW. Grand Cathay Unit Roster Legendary Lords Miao Ying = Sigmar’s waifu Zhao Ming = Iron Dragon (Chamon Wizard supreme?) heroes Alchemists Astromancer units spearmen crossbowmen furework rifles warmachines war balloons Rocket Cannon being pulled by bulls (Insert *Chaos Dwarfs confirmed meme here*) Monsters Terracotta Big Boi Am I missing anything?
  2. until Plastic Chaos Dwarfs (and subsequent art) arrives I’ll be using this as my new profile pic. It’s just too epic to pass up.
  3. I just remembered something incredible! Miao Ying is the ruler of the Grand Bastion (the not Great Wall). During the End Times the Chaos Dwarfs, lead by Drazhoath the Ashen, captured The Grand Bastion and used it to attack Cathay…… CHAOS DWARFS CONFIRMED!!!!!
  4. now why can’t we get dragons like this in AOS? Think of the conversions….. also, those war balloons and terracotta giants were the best part of the whole thing for me. I mean, come on, warballoons and a not-hierotitan to play with? God I hope at least half of this stuff is made into plastic/resin in TOW.
  5. Alright, Tuesday is going to be amazing this week! so let's do some speculating! generally speaking..... what culture/time period do we think GW and CA are gonna pull inspiration from? I just want some form of Jiangshi inspired vampire unit.
  6. Alright, looks like it's time to speculate once again...... First off I'll just say it: I don't think that new Dwarf model is a chaos dwarf. My reasoning for this assumption is as follows 1. The supposed "beard" outline of the model follows the dispossessed style of beard (triangle towards the end) instead of the established rectangle beard of old chaos dwarf models and art (See attached picture below). 2. The general lack of spikes common to any chaos faction GW does. 3. My previous speculations. 4. The fact that the model has a sword scabbard..... Wait a thrice-damned minute!
  7. I had an epic demigod conversion planned for Gobsprakk..... He was gonna be a death god of Funerary Rites and Grave Secrets..... Aw well, I can't really complain. After all, if the worst thing about my week is a toy is expensive, then my life is good.
  8. *Does the Super Bowl Shuffle to Rocky Theme* OH YYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!! Hashut has returned! Thank you @KingBrodd for alerting me to this wonderful news! Where can I read the new lore? I need to know ASAP.
  9. Say what you will about Netflix originals, they sure can be a great meme template.
  10. Alright, I’m about to go on a Chais Dwarf rant, please correct me if I’m wrong about anything. from the posts above by @FFJump, comes a compelling picture that Chaos Dwarfs are on the way. The reason he-I’m going to assume you are male, @FFJump, out of habit- says this because of the following sources: 1. Grimdarklive mentioned evil beard bois are on there way after the Dominion preview. 2. Today’s Rumor Engine pic, which could also be the new Warpsmith for the upcoming massive CSM reboot for 9th edition. 3. An unnamed source (possibly a GW employee who lurks on this site or a similar board). 4. The Oathtakers rumor that came out alongside the Grey Knights vs Thousand Sons box rumor. Now, let’s go over what we “know.” Chaos Dwarfs have been mentioned multiple times throughout AOS’s history, but have never been more than a nice snippet of lore if we exclude Forgeworld products. The earliest name for them was “Furnace Kings”, and was mentioned in The Realmgate Wars. We know that they have a presence in Shyish in the form of Zhar Vyxa, a massive oil rig that steals souls, and in Soulbound in the form of The Forge Anethema. There are more instances of them being mention, but this is just the stuff off the top of my head. with the Kruleboyz preview and lore drops we know that they are trading with the more cunning orruks via the Hobgrotz (see picture below). From this picture we can tell that the Dawi-Zhar are once again active in the mortal realms. I can’t tell what the inspiration for the armor is, but I am going to assume it’s supposed to look like some industrial Assyrian/East Asian design in order to ties back to the original lore of both WFB hobgoblins and Chaos Dwarfs. In conclusion, we have a decent amount of evidence to support the release of plastics chaos dwarfs. We also have a decent picture of what they may look like. What we don’t know, is the following: 1. Lore 2. units 3. named characters 4. When they come out
  11. Shame that there aren’t any werewolves in AOS yet، , otherwise I’d buy that good boy on a heartbeat. The shambler could make a cool FEC conversion is one can get the more 40K bits off him.
  12. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/09/03/4-ways-the-black-templars-take-zealotry-to-a-whole-new-level/ For @Black_Templar_Lad, looks like your boys are going to get a good release real soon.
  13. Seriously! if GW would release a Vampire Coast range alongside updated Tomb Kings, TOW would be off to a great start before they ran out of Kislev bear calvary (which I will be grabbing enough to make a Chicago Bears team out of). On the 40k side, I would love for multipart Gellerpox Infected kits.
  14. Ah yes, the blood born from Cursed City. Once again I'm reminded of my anger that GW has produced such cool looking models, but has never released them separately.
  15. He could be made into a plastic version of the same kit, including the Kislev sign since TOW is coming soon. Perhaps the reintroduction of pestigors as some kind of group jackal headed plague spreading archers? My dream though is of a Tamurkhan style lord (as in a magical maggot/parasite herokiller, not a giant dragon rider).
  16. I hate it when my dad's predictions are correct. He's been telling my family that October would kickstart a whole new wave of pandemic lockdown procedures. Looks like we're all going to be focussing on our pile of shame for the near future.
  17. Honestly my two biggest complaints regarding Warcry and it’s models are as follows: We can’t really customize them in the same fashion as a Necromunda gang (which have been used for many an awesome cultist conversion), and that it’s seems as if we’re not getting any more warbands. What’s the point of buying these cool models if we can’t really use them for anything else?
  18. Ork players on both sides of the Hobby are being spoiled right now (though AOS will have to wait a little while longer). As for the “Cultured Baddy Dwarves”, I’m honestly curious on how they’ll look. Will they be the blatant Mesopotamian bearded big hat lovers of old? Will they look like the Legion of Azgorh? Do the Hobgrot Slittaz offer any clues appearance wise? Can they ally with Kruleboyz despite not being GA: Destruction?! Come on GW! We need these questions answered!
  19. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/08/29/sunday-preview-green-is-good/ Well then, looks like I’m focusing on my CSM and my Slaanesh armies (40K and AOS) this week.
  20. Hey, out of curiosity did anyone pick up the new hobgrotz and finished painting them? I’m looking for inspiration.
  21. I've actually been meaning to make this into a community thing. We could each come up with a minor/demi god figure and duke it out for our respective factions. For example, the Tomb Kings/Gravelords are led by Sekhubis: a minor deity of Funerary rites and Knowledge (in particular the last words and secrets of dying men). He and his followers were driven out of Shyish towards the end of theAge of Chaos, when Arkhan and Neferata used the souls of his underworld to cast a spell that wiped out a vast hedonite carnival. Sekhubis led his followers to the yet to be named realm gate and emerged in the Soul Vine Bayou in Ghur. The Bayou earned it's name from the fact that any who die in it have their souls caught by the various flora, creating a pseudo-underworld in Ghur. After wiping out the local priests of Nagash and the adults of the local tribes (who was worshipped as the King of the Endless Revelry), Sekhubis and his followers raised the children in the Old Faith and adopted the title of Papa Malfini or "Father Vulture." Papa Malfini was told by one his new converts of an ancient legend, that a goddess of snakes and poison once made her home in the swamplands, and has not been seen since the Dark Gods began their assault on the realms. So Papa Malfini ordered his most loyal retainer, a Tomb King known as Zamses The Ever-Joyful, to scour the lands for this deities resting place. Sekhubis hopes to find the hidden goddess, and convince her to join her faith to his in order to survive Sigmar's foolish crusades. My Hedonites on the other hand? They're a Godseekers force lead by a Daemon Princess known as Aesha "The Bride of Delightful Stories." She earned her title by convincing a Keeper of Secrets to marry her instead of taking her soul as he was promised. When her husband fell in the Age of Chaos and hadn't been resurrected no matter what ritual she performed, she came to the conclusion that Slaanesh requires her to sacrifice a being of equal power in order to bring her husband back to the mortal realm. Not as developed I know, but I'm working on it.
  22. You're not kidding.... Hey @KingBrodd you wanna team up in a Doubles tournament?
