I’ve completed ten Steelhelms and their movement tray. Really happy with how these have come out. Hopefully I keep this pace up!- 41 replies

The Wastelands of Ghur: Cities of Sigmar Edition
mcfishstick replied to mcfishstick's topic in Painting and Modelling
Took some more photos of my last batch! I’ve enjoyed converting some of these miniatures. I’m aiming to have one unit of Steelhelms in battle/combat poses, and a second unit of Steelhelms in marching/post battle poses (based on one of the battletome artworks). I’ve also got some more snaps of my Stormcast, and some Stormcast/Steelhelms combinations. Hope you like them! I’m aiming to complete a few more Steelhelms/Stormcast this week. I’ve also assembled two marshals and 2 sets of Cavaliers. All these models are amazing! Surprising amount of convertibility too!- 41 replies

The Wastelands of Ghur: Cities of Sigmar Edition
mcfishstick replied to mcfishstick's topic in Painting and Modelling
I agree. The contrast between normal humans and the superhuman Stormcast is intriguing! I’m slowly painting up a full unit of Steelhelms and Vindicators which I’ll post pictures of when ready. Hopefully this weekend there some clear days and I can take some nice photos of some more finished miniatures!- 41 replies

The Wastelands of Ghur: Cities of Sigmar Edition
mcfishstick replied to mcfishstick's topic in Painting and Modelling
Hey everyone! I lost the habit of posting as I got sidetracked by Necromunda, then MESBG, which I posted frequently on my instagram. Then I stopped posting entirely as my camera photos weren’t coming out great. Recently discovered Lightroom on my iPhone and that allows me to take some fantastic photos! The recent release of the Cities of Sigmar has also greatly inspired me. Without further ado, I present the doughty soldiers of Kadalfyrd’s Steelwatch. Situated within the swampy marshlands of Ghur, Kadalfyrd is an important trading port. The Steelwatch guard the waterways from Flesheaters and Kruleboyz, a thankless task in the sweltering heat and midge-ridden swamplands. The castle on their shields is a representation of Kadalfyrd’s main fortification, an ancient keep at the centre of the settlement. A small contingent of Stormcast Knights Excelsior help guard the settlement, though their limited numbers mean their warriors are used in a advisory capacity, though in dire circumstances the full host of Stormcast will accompany the Freeguild army. I spent a while working out a scheme I liked, and it looks very similar to Settler’s Gain, though I do not like its lore too much! I wanted a downtrodden army marching through swamp, and have converted a number of soldiers to look like they are marching. Will post them up as soon as they are painted!- 41 replies
