Curse of years and it’s interpretation

Hi everybody, I just was wondering what would happen if somebody would cast curse of years on Morathi and succeds rolling till a he has reached the unlimited mortal wound spamm.

the curse of year spell from Arkhan the black days that you should roll 10dice for each 6the unit chosen suffers a mortal wound, and for this 6roll another dice this time you’ll be doing mortal wound on 5+,This keeps going until the chosen unit, is destroyed or you failed to roll the number wanted.

since morathi is unable to suffer more than 3wounds per round, does this mean that the Arkhan player has to roll for eternity until one of those players give up, or when playing in a tournament until the time runs out?

No, because curse of years is "can roll" rather than "must roll". Arkhan player can stop when Morathi hits the 3 wound limit.

yup it says can roll so you don’t have to roll unless you really want to. Since after three Morathi cannot take any more wounds the spell has nothing to continue with since Morathi can no longer suffer wounds saved or not. Technically you can roll forever but by then you are justifiably called out for slow play and being a troll

the last part of the spell  is "until either no wounds are inflicted or the target unit is destroyed". After morathi suffers 3 wounds, you are no longer inflicting  wounds on morathi, so you should stop. That's my understanding.
