Reroll 6s to hit

shadowgra

Question

Hello guys i am really undecided about that one:

GW FAQ says: rerolls happen before modifiers.

However another GW FAQ says: treat roll of 6 as roll of 6+.

This implies that it is influenced by modifiers?

To me is 6+ (so after modifiers) but them why they introduced the other FAQ?

Ty all for your time :)

Just slightly inconsistent rules writing.

Rerolls always occur before modifiers.

There is a point for your queston on page 7 of the Rulebook FAQ

Quote

Q: Some abilities allow a re-roll on a roll of '6 or more'.  As re-rolls happen before modifiers are applied, how can the roll even be 'or more'?

A: It can't be - you can ignore the words 'or more' in such circumstances.

The FAQ Point you're referring to is, when a ability would trigger on a roll of 6 exept of re-rolls. For example the Ability "Warrior Elite" of Crypt Horrors (Flesh-Eater-Court)

Quote

Warrior Elite: Each time you make a wound roll of 6 for a Crypt Horror, that attack inflicts 3 damage instead of 2.

All other Allibies should trigger on a modified roll.

Before the FAQ a crypt horror would wound with 3 damage if he rolls a 6 ignoring modifiers.

After the FAQ the rule would also trigger if he rolls a 5 and has +1 Modifier, but doesn't trigger if re- rolls 6 and has a -1 modifier.
