guys i have a question about this guys , if i build my unit of 10 with 2 choppa or smasha and shields and 8 big choppas , if enemy make me 2 wounds can i chose to roll  dice for model with shields?i mean basically can i roll for save with my model with shilds everytime my unit take wounds?

Hey,

You can freely allocate wounds to the shield guys as per the main AoS rolls, but any fails will result in those models dying first. You can't use the shield bonuses and then remove other models from the unit.

If this was the case you'd just have one shield guy in every unit haha!  

Remember once you've allocated wounds to a model you need to keep doing so until it's dead. So if you survive a round of attacks with one shield dude left on one wound, when the enemy next gets wounds through you'd have to start with the wounded shield guy first.

Mr Tomlin is indeed right! I take 4 shield dudes and 6 Big Choppas usually, and allocate the wounds on the shield guys first. Sometimes I'll go 2-8, but it makes little difference really.
