List Building Tool : Battlescribe & Age Of Sigmar

It’s been a long time in coming, but another tool is available for list building as the Battlescribe Data files have been updated on May 25th 2018.

The appspot Battlescribe catalog files for Age Of Sigmar have been updated to support Matched Play and the GHB 2017 up through Deepkin.

So, please try out the new catalog files and let us know any issues!

Looks good, but I found an issue: trying to create a Stormcast list I can't seem to be able to find how to change my allegiance from Order to Stormcast Eternals, which means no artifacts, no prayers, no mount traits, no Judicators as battleline, etc.

On mobile, go to the bottom of the list:

You're looking for “Allegiance”

select the “Allegiance” bar line. The bar turns orange temporarily and then opens the Allegiance selector.

Then on the right side you’ll see a single radio button. 

Select the radio button.

That opens your radio button choice for Allegiance

You can then select order or SCE.

@AthlorianStoners Allies are chosen by adding a “child force” to a roster.

After you’ve started a roster, select the 3 vertical dots on the right.

Select Edit Forces

Select Forces from the top of the edit roster screen

Select the orange + at the bottom of the screen

Choose the force you are adding the allies to.

Choose the catalogue to Ally. (This is not validated ... you can choose invalid allies make sure you have your reference materials. The points total maximums for allies are validated.)

Select the type of child force to add. (IE an allies force.)

Confirm that you want to add your Allies force to the Pitched Battle force.

The force has been added. Select the checkbox in the upper right to go back to the list building.

and you’re done, Allies show up at the bottom of the list creator.

As an FYI, There is no “validation” that these are valid Ally choices for allies that are not within the same catalogue.

Most catalogues are single keyword, there are a couple that aren’t. (Skaven and LoN come to mind. Skaven has all of the Skaven, and LoN is LoN.)

For example, the Legions of Nagash catalogue can be added as an ally to itself. Soulblight and Deathrattle are in the same catalogue. If one were choosing say, Soulblight as the Allegiance ... deathrattle units would display as an available ally choice. If Tomb Kings catalogue were selected as a non-valid ally the tool doesn’t validate that you’ve made a legal ally selection.

They seem to all be there in the Khorne catalog. What catalog are you using?

The points and validation and profile issues reported have been resolved.

Forgeworld units for destruction are on the list of priority to-do and will be split into their respective catalogues. Chaos and Order Forgeworld units are in the Order - Monstrous Arcanum and Monsters of Chaos catalogs respectively.

It looks like a points handling issue. It doesn’t actually appear to be tied to the weapon options.

There is a bug report in to get it resolved in the next release.

Let us know if you see any other issues in the catalogs.

There is no choice for a champion in the skeleton warriors and every other unit with the option to take one

The Skeletal Champion (and unit leader for all applicable units) isn’t a unit choice it’s a default part of the unit profile. (It doesn't have a separate profile stat line.) Units that have a Champion with Weapon choice have a choice option for their special weapons.

Take a look at roster view once adding Skeleton Warriors to the roster and you’ll see a “Unit Ability” type of “Skeletal Champion” for the skeleton warriors.

Battalion validation for Khorne armies is in.

It joins Tzeentch, Legions of Nagash, Tomb Kings (with the old open play battalions), Skaven and Seraphon (and several others...)
