  1. Thanks for the help! 750 points is only 2 Battleline so are they likely to drop that and the battalion to fit more Kurnoth? No it's in the UK.
  2. Hi Guys, I'm starting an escalation league and there's a few people taking Sylvaneth. What can i expect to come up against in a 750 point list?
  3. Frigates can’t take the bouyancy aid, I think you mean Iron Clads but there’s no need for that Endrinwork with only 10 Thunderers, they can hold 15 and still fly high. You’re also not getting 2 Iron Clad escort wings in 2000 points, one is 1070 points and that’s with 5 thunderers.

  5. There’s a couple with the new book on Diensional Cascade but only the one vs bone reapers is really worth watching. They were all really early in the new books life so the guy playing KO was still learning new rules. Aside from that I’ve not seen others. Ben Smiths game against Fyreslayers was sort of covered on t sports network (what used to be honest war gamers think) at Sheffield slaughter. But their new filming format sees you jump between 3 games being played at once so you don’t really see anything of note at all. Hopefully they abandon that format because it’s pretty pointless. Going from set up, coming back during first players second turn. Then back again in round 3 or whatever. It all felt like a mess.
  6. Interesting that he wouldn’t drop a hauler for Iron Sky Command or Attack Squadron if only to give the Nav the flare gun or auto dispel. 6 boats is really cool though.
  7. The Scions of Flame will be the first unit that's not an updated sculpt to come out after a battle-tome release (no rules in tome) wont they? Correct me if i'm wrong, but i think that would be your example of Stage 4. Although, falls under specialist game poaching i suppose but maybe not in the same way as Underworlds Warbands are added. You'd be able to field multiple units anyway... Maybe they're the test for the future.
  8. Barak Thryng: Incredibly Stubborn: The warriors of Barak-Thryng will often deny death long enough to get in a last blow. If a friendly SKYFARERS model is slain while it is within 3" of an enemy unit, roll a dice. On a 4+, that model can fight before it is removed from play. This doesn't stipulate you can pile in and fight with melee weapons, or the combat phase specifically the way that similar rules like No Respite does. So can you use missile weapons? Fire weapons if killed in enemy shooting phase etc? Can anyone point me to any core rules related to this?
  9. You’re fine for heroes in Iron Sky Command mate, both the balloon master and Khemist count, it’s 2-3 heroes any combination if I remember correct. The WLV move is usually used in conjunction with the Zilfin hero phase move so the Khemist can cast it straight away and then use the regular movement phase to reposition to safety or where necessary. Something to consider.

  11. Quick question: Say i'm running Thryng and i use the ability that sees unmodified 6's to hit count as two hits on a unit of Endrinriggers with Drill launchers. The Drill launcher lands a 6 to hit. Does the bonus hit count as an unmodified 6 also, or just a normal hit? The ability says make a wound and save roll for each hit, the the Drill Launcher causes 3 mortals on an unmodified 6.

  13. The endless spells offer a lot of future interest to our army now. Anytime there’s new models we’ll be looking at how we can use them too. Plus I think they could be fun conversion opportunities. Dark fire daemonrift with an avatar of Grungni would be cool.
  14. Am I blind or did you only take one artefact? Its interesting to see a list so heavy on the Arkanauts. Are you able to give a little run down on how each game went?
  15. I was finding it pretty difficult to work into a list to be honest. Especially if you’re trying to reduce the drops too, in which case you want Iron Sky Command. And battleline is an issue. Escort Wing you’re at 4 drops without considering whether to take Riggers instead of Wardens. You’ve got to take 3 heroes for it to even have a purpose really. Unless you didn’t want to take a battalion but wanted an extra artefact. Why you’d do that instead of a battalion with an ability and extra endrinwork in addition though I don’t know. Maybe you could use it in Zilfin with attack squadron to potentially get 2 units of Arkanauts and an ironclad of Thunderers into someone’s face and out of the boats though if you wanted. i mean you’re taking spell, flare pistol and bomblets probably?
  16. I agree with you, I’m not particularly interested in using any non Duardin in my KO army. Comet and Warp Lightning Vortex seem to be the go to. Possibly the StD (I think?) one that pumps mortal wounds depending on nearby wizards but that’s really meta dependent I think. No port gives an extra artefact unfortunately. Zilfin gives an extra endrinworks.
  17. Balloon heavy! Which I’ve been considering with a thermal rider Khemist to try and keep up. i was looking at a custom port too with ‘there’s no trading...’ rather than ‘without our ships...’ Are you not using any battalions then?
  18. Did you watch that AoS coach KO stream by any chance? Gary Percival goes all in on the Zilfin alpha it seems, unless he’s against an army that he doesn’t mind giving first turn to. I’m not sure what his list is because he says 1 or 2 drops and he uses Iron Sky Command so he’s missing thunderers or Gunhaulers to do that. I tend to think 3 drops is probably the minimum you’re really getting with this army though. Ive no idea if that’s enough to underdrop the armies you really want to though. Out of interest what Barak / list are you running?

  20. Yeah that was me who mentioned it haha. I thought against it incase it got dispelled and left the Khemist stranded.
  21. I really just want the Khemist to be able to keep up with the Wardens/Riggers without having to worry about embarking/disembarking to give out his buffs.
